    I use to repair crt's as a hobby and this video explained very well the essentials of how cathode ray tubes works. I loved it, hope you upload a second part explaining more stuff of this amazing technology.

    At 17:20 you point to a wiggly trace in the middle of the screen and refer to it as "an AM signal". It's actually the colourburst signal that is "used to keep the chrominance subcarrier synchronized in a color television signal" (quoting Wikipedia) i.e. it ensures that everything is the right colour. Unless you're using the American NTSC system, in which case you have never seen the right colours. The colourburst signal isn't needed with monochrome systems.

    Have it feed into a cathode ray tube, make it switch on and off quickly, capture the BACK EMF the tube is creating.

    For a while, I am used to bend beams of light within air, instead of electron beams in a vacuum tube. A small contraption does the job, when an attempt to violate Pauli's inviolable exclusion principle creates extra space within a confined piece of spacetime. Light always follows geodesic lines - aka spacetime-curvature.

    Look how far screens have advanced since 1890... even to the point that video & images can actually be screened inside the human eyeball.
    Yet since 1890, electric cars and their power source has barely evolved at all; and are far too expensive to maintain and operate.
    Evolution for transportation has been suppressed intentionally because it would ultimately lead to free energy- the oil companies' nemesis.
    Go figure- follow the $$$.
    We aren't allowed to have the good stuff.

    • @paradiselost9946
      @paradiselost9946 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      of course, those pesky oil companies... they wouldnt have any interest in a way of reducing oil consumption, so they could drill less, refine less, and charge MORE for producing LESS, of course not... no, they want to drill for as much as possible in the remotest regions, and make it as cheap as possible, so everyone can bathe in glorious petroleum products, an abundance of hydrocarbons...
      yknow, even if the energy were free, they would still require lubricants? insulation? plastic assemblies? or does this free energy also negate the need for such mundane essentials?

    yay. yet another CRT video.. how... mundane.
    sorry. i want to see the POSITIVE RAYS. there are ZERO videos on POSITIVE RAYS. all we get is stupid animations, and a smattering of theory. not ONE GOOD DEMONSTRATION of POSITIVE RAYS.
    i was hoping, fingers crossed, that this may be a demonstration of POSITIVE RAYS. sadly... nope. whilst at first, teh construction seemed it may be possible, as the video progressed... nope. just a regular, if rather limited, CRT. ground well charted, material already covered... tired. stale. repetitive.
    there are THOUSANDS about plain old CRTs. yay. electron beams... same old, same old. almost more videos than CRTs actually ever made, it would seem. maybe being forgotten in this day of blue LEDs and laser diodes, but nevertheless... well documented.
    i want to see POSITIVE RAYS.
    and that may well lead to JJ thomson and the basic maths showing how the electron was proven to exist in the first place...

    • @andymouse
      @andymouse 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@paradiselost9946 Cheeky Cu&t..WHY didn't you just say fucking ION's then ? Dead simple stuff "Canal rays" are positively charged particles (ions) discovered in gas discharge tubes, and they were first observed by German physicist Eugen Goldstein in 1886. When an electric current is passed through a gas at low pressure in a discharge tube, two streams of particles are produced: the well-known cathode rays (negatively charged electrons) and a second, lesser-known stream called canal rays (positive ions). Neon sign technology simple and taught in primary schools. And yes I have done plenty of work in Mass Spectrometry both positive Ions and negative Ions.
