I am about to get a Honda Jazz and am wondering if I can install a 3rd party infotainment system without voiding the warranty. The dealer confessed that even the upgrade option (Motivo brand) is not great but also said if any wire cutting is done, warranty will be void. Two questions - 1. does the entire car warranty get void on installing a system from outside 2. are there any Honda Jazz compatible systems in India which I could purchase where I can simply plug and play with no wire cutting involved (the one in the video seems compatible)
I don't know about the Honda, but the warranty void threats are given by the dealers on wire cutting and note that its ONLY AND ONLY ELECTRICAL WARRANTY which will be voided, which also lasts only for 1 year (its standard across all company as far as i know, but better confirm from the dealer). Will suggest you to go with reputed company products like Pioneer, Sony, Blaupunkt as they come with couplers which does not involve any wire cutting.
