I think the sound will be loud no matter which way it is facing. I would probably want it facing backwards with a slight downward pitch to prevent water and road muck from hitting it directly. Plus with it slightly hanging below the front spoiler it would be easy to see if a cop leans down and looks under it. Nice looking clean install though. Thanks for sharing.
Looks nice, I would probably prefer putting switch in overhead console eyeglass holder. LEOs may find under dash if you allow them to look. Switch should cut compressor so they don’t hear it come on.
looks to me like your video is spot on could I get the excact wire I need to tie into from horn on my 1992 GMC Sierra 4x4 CK , mY air horn kit is arriving in the next day or two would like to get it installed as you have yours (with either option for sounding off) thanks again for info and great instructions.
Awesome video! Wanna thank Martin @lesscolectronics Really appreciate your sent email of the wires and colors for my 04 tundra. Since I have received my Wolo 850-860 and plan to install this weekend. Thanks again!
Okay so the grenn and white wire plus the 12v from a diferent one go to the horn right? Can i take the 12v from the battery or have to be one with the ignition?
Hey nice install. I'm like you and get excited over stuff like this. The only problem I would have doing it your way is the intercooler. I'll have to figure something out. You've had it in for almost a year now . Is it still holding up good?
Yes on all except my horns, humidity in Florida is pooling up in there lately, I am thinking of upgrading to the Omega ah-300 horns cause of their great exchange warranty
I know you made this video about 3 years ago. I want a train horn in my trunk. Do you still have a list of all i need to buy to try and do this set up? Also, where did you purchase your train horn?
Hi.. I also have a 19 ford f150 that I want to install a train horn on. I would like to use my factory horn. I have the train horn kit. I want to know if I understand your wiring right. You mention that the green/white wire from the horn is a load ground.... So do I need to break 12v to my horn or ground to my horn? I hope you understand my question. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Not sure what I did wrong but my switch sounds off factory horn, and horn sounds off factory horn, none sound off train horn. Can you help? Also my switch has 3 terminals
I've been installing a setup on my 2010 Silverado and I also had the idea of running a toggle between stock and train horn, but for the life of me i can not get it to work, Would you be able to provide me some more detail on how you did the splice? every time I try it, or change the wires around... No matter what position the switch is in, The train horn will fire. Almost like the switch is broken.. Hmm, Maybe the switch is broken....? Sometimes you just have to talk about it... Still, Would not mind having some incite into the switch wiring to make sure I am doing it correctly.
With a direct battery connection, if a leak ever forms the compressor will run continuously and kill the battery. I'd suggest connection to an accessory circuit controlled by the key. Be careful as that compressor will pull decent current and can't be tapped on to any circuit without blowing a fuse. Some new cars have an accessories relay near the battery after a large fuse. BTW, I assume a fuse is in the compressor circuit near the battery. Fuses prevent fires!
I have a quick question. I purchased this same system, except with plastic horns. It was an open box purchase and the air line is missing. Can you tell me what size air line came with your kit? Thank you.
What wire do I tap in for 1995 Tahoe horn? I want to do the same install setup... toggle switch the powers on compressor when needed and also allows the train horns to work along with my stock horn when I press the steering wheel horn... and when the toggle is off only my stock horn works...
I'm having the same problem. My system is a Viair dual compressor system with a 2.5 gallon air tank and six ports. I've used regular plumbers tape, yellow gas pipe tape and pipe thread sealant. Its such a slow leak I cant tell where its coming from and this results in the compressor kicking on in the garage in the middle of the night. Not my daily driver so it would lead to a dead battery on occasion. My work around was tying it into a power source that only came on when the ignition was on. Now blowing fuses. Pulled the entire system out and going to redo everything to see if I can solve the leak. Also saw in an other video the foot switch. Love that! especially since the Airhorn is my only horn. With the foot switch I can rewire the factory horn for those times when a full on air horn blast isn't necessary.
@@roberthargrave509 I used blue loctite as suggested in the link and it solved my issue with the leaking tank at the fittings. th-cam.com/video/r9o8z9WCoQs/w-d-xo.html

I’d love to do this mod but I fucking hate electric work. An you always have that on guy saying oh it’s easy well not when you don’t have the patience or the time. Plus I’d rather have someone do it so if they fuck up it’s there fault not mine.
I have an octet system installed on a ram rebel and I have it wired to a button atm, I want to wire it to my factory horn though so I can use the lock button on my remote to blip the train horns even if the vehicle is off without me in it, would the same wiring work for this?
Pretty much like an airbag system
yeah..
yeah..
yeah
Yeah
yeah
The camera does not give you justice but your installation seems a work of art ... So much room underneath that area.
I love my King Ranch!!! soo easy to work in there.
What a joy to watch your boyish excitement at the prospect of blasting select drivers only! 😄
I can't believe You got all that to fit under your front bumper!!! Nice Job. Thanks for sharing...
Where is the detailed install? I only came here to see how to hook up the wiring, relay etc... did I miss a part?
All that was covered, watch the entire video..

Shouldn't the tank drain hole be facing down instead of to the side
Maaaaaaan you executed a beautiful installation! I couldn’t have done it better myself.
This is about to be the best prank ever

Can I get these instructions on paper? Same application 19’ f150

That/s the beauty of custom wiring I suppose...

I wouldn't put and air tank up front and definitely not blocking my vents

No se inglés pero entiendo un poco gracias por explicar muy bien 👍
did you cut holes in a chassis part ? well you're happy to live in the states, over here they would scrap your car at the yearly inspection.
right under the radiator support

Could you tell me which wire for a 2020 Colorado please? Ty
Would it be better to strap the compressor and tank on the side up against the frame? I just purchased an ‘18 and look forward to doing the same.
Not better, not worse. it's just personal preference really..
Does anyone have a current link to this horn system? I'm not able to find it by the provided link.

Would you recommend a tankless setup ?

definitely not, unless youre not wanting the big train sound I guess..

What kind of switch did you use to go from City horn to air horn?
I used a foot switch I showed in a recent video
.. Not to power on the horn but to actually switch from city horn to air horn.
