So from a price stand point if you don't mind me asking what do you charge for the different variations in the coasters? Ballpark range...I'm just starting out with laser and I find the hardest part is know how to best price items. I'm afraid I always under estimate the price especially with items like this since it does take time to create. The results are awesome but it takes time to do it. Thanks for any input you may provide. Thanks for the video... Nice work. Cheers!
I have been using a laser for over 10 years now and I still think pricing is the hardest part. When it comes to pricing the things to remember is what are all your material costs. We buy our wood for Highland Hardwood Lumber, then we mill it all to size. But you also have to factor in shellac, paint, finish, cork backing and also packaging. Next think about your time and finally think about the market place. These are a really high quality coaster. We sell the straight engraving and the plain one color color filled at the same price around $10 each. For the one with the painted background we do these for $12 each. I have an upcoming video planned for making coaster holders and maybe I will add a little about packaging on it. It is important as you want the customer to have a WOW. Getting more than they expected. This video is planned for sometime next month. Good luck and feel free to ask questions. Congratulations on you laser. Have fun with it!
Seal, mask, cut background, remove mask, paint. Remask, cut pattern, spray infill, remove mask. Job done in half the time without all the dabbing with a brush.
I have better luck without the mask and I really hate peeling the tape off the tiny pieces. I know many people who prefer the mask though. Just sharing my technique.
Excellent knowledge shared and explained in detail, I appreciate it a lot, thank you so much!
They look fantastic what a great idea

Thank you, I hope you find it helpful!
Only a matter of time before the 'gunna wunna' starts.
