So sad when you think how these vehicles would have been someone's pride and joy at one time when they were acquired. A poignant lesson I think about the value we place on objects sometimes rather than our relationships with friends and loved ones. Thanks for taking the time to document these wonderful abandoned cars.
There is so much respect in Japan when it comes to people’s property. You could accidentally forget your phone on a public bus stop bench and it would still be there for days.
I feel it. Sometimes, life pranks us, and we gotta put some of our wishes behind us to take care of what's important at the moment. The contrast of seeing the Skyline and the GMC being left to rest there, while a well-cared Prius sits on the background. Also, I didn't expect a March Bolero quietly being there near the NSX 😂
There's no telling what sort of life stories might have resulted in these cars ending up like this. Capturing the spider web linking the Skyline and the GMC SUV together was a nice artistic touch. Though I'm giving this video a thumbs up (and I thank you once again for the content), I'll admit that I feel a bit guilty for doing so (for obvious reasons).
Awesome vid man. Sad to see, but as mentioned by another commenter, it’s a good reflection on the integrity of Japanese citizens that these are not disturbed whilst left in the open.
If it were in Spain, most of the cars would be vandalised and/or with some parts stolen. It is always sad to see abandoned cars, hope the owners are ok
Cruising around Tokyo checking out abandoned classics with Baegel playing in the background. This is why I come to this channel. Like a nice hot bowl of soup for the carguy soul.
great video.forgotten car content never gets old. This E30 M3 is absolutely awesome. I hope it ends up in good hands at some point. Too good to rot in the darkness.Keep it up 👍🏼
Great video but, seeing such wonderful cars dying a slow death breaks my heart. It is true you don’t know the circumstances that brought them there, but it’s a shame that they aren’t being loved the way they should.
Holy cow. In NZ the wheels on those ones in the grass would be gone by morning. Actually, the whole car would be gone by morning and then seen driven around a while later, or sold as parts instantly.
My mind was blown with the R34 V-Spec, then it blew again when I see the 88 M3. Then my brain was absolutely mangled with that rally monster RS200.... insane. You get a wild feeling when you see things like this
Having lived in Japan for a few years, I've also photographed multiple abandoned performance cars and my phone is filled with pictures. There are so many here. I even rescued one (R53 mini with tons of modifications) that sat in a driveway for years. I fixed it and then sold it back to the owner who is now driving it again. Love these videos. Seeing that E30 M3 and E34 M5 is painful as someone who has been wrenching on BMWs for years. I'd love to restore one of these.
dude, my pc background is an animated shot of an mr2 in a dimly lit sidestreet of japan, and it looks like its based on the one you showed in the beginning of the video
Loved this, something nostalgic about seeing these laid up, asleep & maybe someone might wake them up. The Rs200 is lovely & pretty special. Tunes as always r chilled & just work. Looking forward to seeing next one. Thanks frm UK 😎😎👊👊👍👍👌👌✌✌
Most abandoned cars in japan Ive seen from videos like this are usually parked up or tucked away behind shops or garages. That FD in a field seems very oddly placed
Great episode!! I got really excited in hopes that you would cover the infamous 1999 Toyota Supra #38 Cerumo FK/Massimo JGTC car!! That would be an Epic episode!!
This is a common thing here in the states too. In fact I have a good friend who owns an original 1967 Shelby GT350. He started restoring it in the late 90s, stripped it had a show car quality $12k (90s $s) paint job put on it, started putting it back together then gave up for some reason. It’s been sitting in his mothers garage ever since. The old house is literally falling down around the car. He won’t sell it. I think he thinks that one day he will get back to it. I have my doubts.
lol I'm surprised you didn't show the Countach under the bridge or the 456 that is next to the 928 in that open field. Would be nice to see them get restored in some fashion
I remember seeing the SH feature on that AW11 a very long time ago. Not surprised it is still there. My neighbour has a rotting 34GTT stopped outside for 6 years+ :/
It's amazing to see they're all still there! I wonder if the red 25th anniversary countach is still in the parking garage too? I know it was Ron who posted that one originally, but still would be cool if you went and checked it out!
For whatever happened to the owners, there is still the respect to not vandalize or steal, gotta love Japan. So sad to see cars like these in abandonment, they deserve to be driven.
Saw a Yellow 370Z driving near lake Yamanaka few weeks ago. Might not have been you but yea was surprised to see random cars parked in fields with overgrown plants, eventually was just a bit of a normal sight after driving around Japan long enough. Still a feels bad sight to behold. Also one more yellow 370z at Ikaho steps/base of Haruna around sept 15-19 ish
Usually these videos don’t ever bother me, but something about the NSX and the completely dust covered E30 M3 made me feel bad. I’m surprised people don’t just sell them/give them away to family, friends, or whatever buyer may come along.
This video reminded me of these lines: And all this money is depressing Dollars getting greener, but we'll never learn a lesson Never learn to lack it, we will never learn to keep it From Yellow Claw (DJs)( Yellow Claw ) - Drowning in Champagne feat. Maty Noyes
Would be pretty cool if you got a small group of car people together to help these owners. Say get them detailed and just to get them to run. I am sure people would pitch in to help. Would be a cool thing to do and be popular to watch for your channel.
@srfjay well i was just trying to make you laugh as i could resist the comment but i see ur lacking in the sense of humor department. But clearly have a big hearts. Lol will leave u to it my bad
It's a shame to see these cars . They should be roadworthy I'm sure someone out there would love to have them and cherish the thrill of driving them. Thanks for the content.
man.... i feel sad for these, especially the nissan skyline 2000 gtx and the mr-2, idk if they're still restorable but i think that nsx is still in a pretty nice condition
The E30 M3 has to be worth minimum £50 grand , Recently Wheeler dealers World Tour Mike Brewer paid 70,000 Euros for 1 with over 150,000 Km. Which is around £60,000ish . Also this year what is believed to be the highest mileage E30 M3 in the world with 500,000 miles sold for $47,000 over £36,000.
Such a shame - as you rightly say, it's not always clear what the background story is. I remember a lovely white Renault 5 GT Turbo near where I used to live in Bristol, England - tastefully modded with full roll cage etc... sat badly neglected for years outside someone's house much like the MR2 in this video, in a really sorry state covered in mould and grime, with weeds growing through it. The owner had put a note on their door saying something like "the car is absolutely not for sale, so stop asking"... definitely a background story there and I hope the owner is alright.
I’ve always wondered what the process to retrieve an abandoned car like the ones shown in Japan is exactly I’ve seen so many photos and videos of them but it seems like no one can go and get them wondered if you had any insight?
help me understand how this works ? i can understand abandoned cars in the wild, but in public parkings and shared park spaces ? how ? isn't there fees to use a roofed park area or something, isn't there regular checkups on the spaces that are being used for too long ?
When I see those left behind cars I still think they will pay respect to them...especially to the legends. Somehow - I dont know why - I asked myself which japanese 4WD car and which global 4WD car Dino likes the most...someone have a clue?
everyone has a story... I absolutely love abandoned cars and equally it's sad too... I believe most people have big plans and good intentions but time , money and skill often hold them back from full filling them.. The even worst part is internally and the extent of dealing with an entire fuel system with old fuel that's probably turned to a gummy goo.. all the bad rubber lines , froze up calipers / wheel cylinders etc It's a shame & and costly for owners.
Hope you guys enjoy this one! Will be posting a bonus video of even more abandoned cars that didn’t make this video on our patreon this week!
Some of these cars used to be demo cars from early 90s etc
Ehi dino! Super video! Credo che il paraurti della Rx7 fosse abflug ! E i cerchi sono dei panasport G7!
That BMW is the one car I would love to have.
are you able to buy abandoned cars in japan or no
Hope the owners are ok. Things happen in life and sometimes things are left behind. Thank you for this content. And thank you for being respectful.
If this were America, wheels and parts would have been taken. Thus, I love Japan and their culture.
If it was NZ the whole car would be stolen and stripped down over night.
So sad when you think how these vehicles would have been someone's pride and joy at one time when they were acquired. A poignant lesson I think about the value we place on objects sometimes rather than our relationships with friends and loved ones.
Thanks for taking the time to document these wonderful abandoned cars.
Indeed. It's a reminder to me of the impermanence of our world.
There is so much respect in Japan when it comes to people’s property. You could accidentally forget your phone on a public bus stop bench and it would still be there for days.

Holy moly that rs 200 is one of the rarest of all
If it were in Spain, most of the cars would be vandalised and/or with some parts stolen. It is always sad to see abandoned cars, hope the owners are ok

Glad you enjoy it!
Never ever thought I'd see an abandoned RS200. That's absolutely unreal!!
Really enjoyed the video! That’s an E30 M3 EVO!!! I noticed the red pin striping, cannot believe it. Fantastic video, thank you for sharing!
My stunning Lexus IS200 that I’ve owned since new had a cry when the Altezza came up 🥲
I bet!
great video.forgotten car content never gets old. This E30 M3 is absolutely awesome. I hope it ends up in good hands at some point. Too good to rot in the darkness.Keep it up 👍🏼

The m3 and the m5 🔥🔥🔥
They all hurt so much to see them like that!! Like puppies you wanna take them all home!! Hope the owners are ok!!
Thanks for sharing amico
this is actually an awesome idea for a series.
great video! always have been fascinated by abandoned cars and how they ended up like this, keep this series going!
I love all the content, one of the best Japanese car culture channels…..period
Thanks so much!!
Holy cow. In NZ the wheels on those ones in the grass would be gone by morning. Actually, the whole car would be gone by morning and then seen driven around a while later, or sold as parts instantly.
The streets are so clean and serene and respectful to the nature & ppl around
MORE OF THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So hard to watch and also enjoyable. A mix of feelings, thanks D
Great episode !!! great barn finds abandoned cars
The MR2 hurts seeing it still abandoned all these years later. At least they wheels look good
That E30 M3 is beautiful
You deserve way more subscribers. Quality always top notch.
I appreciate that!
A fantastic video, indeed. It's a bit sad to see all these beautiful cars rotting.
damn that’s history right there
dude, my pc background is an animated shot of an mr2 in a dimly lit sidestreet of japan, and it looks like its based on the one you showed in the beginning of the video
Dino in front of M3; "Let's just take a moment..." :( ...sad video
Black M3 looks like it should be in a movie.
Dino... great finds, bro. 👏 great video like always. 👍
Thanks! 🙏🏻
These are the vids I love you do finding all these “abandoned” cars threw out the city’s you travel threw thank you so much!!
Great stuff Dino. Thank you for the awesome content sir
When I was on a trip in Japan I spotted so many abandoned cars. From EU, US etc. Bentleys, Camaros etc etc
also amzing these cars with nice rims havent been left on blocks
That AW11 reminds me of the dog statue outside Shinjuku station. Just waiting for it’s owner to return!
Such a dope idea/series 🔥

Sad, is definitely the case with a lot of these cars
lol I'm surprised you didn't show the Countach under the bridge or the 456 that is next to the 928 in that open field. Would be nice to see them get restored in some fashion
Dude, your videos are top tier !
Glad you like them! ❤️
There’s and EVO 4 or 5 in a parking lot of a hospital or clinic near me. I’ve been here over a year and I’m sure it’s been there much longer.
That white GT-R 😥 I would love to buy that car & revive it!
I was in Japan and took some photos with an old abandoned Z, while we were HelloCycling to up garage.
Some of these abandoned cars are still nicer than my R31
😂
I remember seeing the SH feature on that AW11 a very long time ago. Not surprised it is still there. My neighbour has a rotting 34GTT stopped outside for 6 years+ :/

So sad😢.. I lived there in 96 to 04 and I hate seeing those car that way
For whatever happened to the owners, there is still the respect to not vandalize or steal, gotta love Japan. So sad to see cars like these in abandonment, they deserve to be driven.
2 door jimmy pretty rare
The fascinating thing about these cars is wondering what the story behind them is. I wish I knew what happened.
Saw a Yellow 370Z driving near lake Yamanaka few weeks ago. Great Vid! Poor Kenmeri!
Love this content albeit sad. Remember tge mr story on speedhunters years ago.
Usually these videos don’t ever bother me, but something about the NSX and the completely dust covered E30 M3 made me feel bad. I’m surprised people don’t just sell them/give them away to family, friends, or whatever buyer may come along.
Thanks Dino!
👍💪✌
I’ll start seeing if I can find them here in Sasebo, Fukuoka or Nagasaki. I know we have them just haven’t been back to those areas in a while.
There's an NSX-R in yellow in Tokyo abandoned as well. Ask Dustin Williams of Legends for the location!
Not sure I’d want to see that 😭
Its really sad to see This cars in THIS condition...........
This video reminded me of these lines:

Lol pitch in to help. Want to help with my rent aswell😂
@@Pro_camper32 no that takes money. To help wash a car and do a diagnostic to get it to start and maybe drive is free.
@srfjay well i was just trying to make you laugh as i could resist the comment but i see ur lacking in the sense of humor department. But clearly have a big hearts. Lol will leave u to it my bad
I live in Suita, Osaka. Near Hankyu Yamada station ther is an abandoned 86. Wow
Damn... it is so sad to see the skyline in this bad shape. They even did the oil cooler mod in front of the bumper.. such a cool car though
8:18 that prius kinda gas too lol
It's a shame to see these cars . They should be roadworthy I'm sure someone out there would love to have them and cherish the thrill of driving them. Thanks for the content.
It makes me incredibly sad seeing cars like that rs200 or the m3 evo just sitting 😢
Sure is sad
man.... i feel sad for these, especially the nissan skyline 2000 gtx and the mr-2, idk if they're still restorable but i think that nsx is still in a pretty nice condition
That ford is crazy . But with only 100 cars ever build wouldn't be to hard to find out the history of it
The E30 M3 has to be worth minimum £50 grand , Recently Wheeler dealers World Tour Mike Brewer paid 70,000 Euros for 1 with over 150,000 Km. Which is around £60,000ish . Also this year what is believed to be the highest mileage E30 M3 in the world with 500,000 miles sold for $47,000 over £36,000.
Good video but really sad to view. Would love to have that M3
These og jdms hurt my soul
If this mr2 is on the way to the ghibli museum i have photos of it from 10 years ago.
Great content as always but I’m numb to the Abandoned Cars of Japan. It’s like “Meh I’m not Surprised.”
Such a shame - as you rightly say, it's not always clear what the background story is. Amazing abandoned cars😍
Sreten from m539 restoration would be excited to restore those two BMWs.
As an AW11 owner that MR2 makes me quite upset.
I’ve always wondered what the process to retrieve an abandoned car like the ones shown in Japan is exactly I’ve seen so many photos and videos of them but it seems like no one can go and get them wondered if you had any insight?
You need to purchase it from the registered owner or next of kin
Poor MR2 I would put a cover in it.
help me understand how this works ?
i can understand abandoned cars in the wild, but in public parkings and shared park spaces ? how ? isn't there fees to use a roofed park area or something, isn't there regular checkups on the spaces that are being used for too long ?
You would think
When I see those left behind cars I still think they will pay respect to them...especially to the legends.
Somehow - I dont know why - I asked myself which japanese 4WD car and which global 4WD car Dino likes the most...someone have a clue?
How’s the Z drive? Upcoming review pls. I’m trying to distract myself from crying from the abandoned cars….😢
I can imagine an abandoned Cosworth appearing in a Murakami novel.
I can’t imagine what the parking costs alone for the Cossie and BMW cost.
that fd has panasport c5c2 g7s 3 piece probly worth any where from 3 ta 5 k depending
Update the nsx now has a car cover on
everyone has a story... I absolutely love abandoned cars and equally it's sad too... Im curious if any of the owners are still around , like the v spec im sure someone out there would happily restore it .
I somehow don't think the NSX is abandoned as windows looked clean and tyres were inflated...?
I wonder what's the cost on fixing cars like this?
I wonder what the 2000GTX would go for in that current condition ?
I would 💯 buy it as is
