Great advice. I use summaries now - very helpful organizing strategy.

I tried todoist bc of 2 way calendar sync but the options and layouts in asana brought me back in a day.

Hello, really enjoyed your videos. They have been very helpful in organizing my team's move to Asana. I love they idea of working with larger scale projects and summary projects. Have you found a work around for this approach to function with dashboards. Meaning it becomes difficult to track the progress of all my teams respectives "big tasks" in a birds eye view. Is there a "big task" progress of sorts? I guess I could have a task assign to all "big task" owners to write a weekly report in the team inbox, but I kind of like the visual approach that dashboards offer. What do you think?
    thank you

My only challenge w asana as my primary planner is click fatigue. It isnt as fluid. So I'm on my own planner system that i created and use asana as just a bank or holder of tasks that have no real deadline or lists I track.

OMG, I LOVE your descriptions for each project!! Please allow us a sneak peek for inspiration. Also, do you have multiple workspaces? If so, how do you manage them? xx

@@minor-co I understand. I have one for personal use and one for my business. The difficult part is switching between the two for My Tasks.

@@minor-co That's going to be a giant task, but I guess I will have to attempt it if I want that streamlined experience. Thanks! xx

This was really helpful man, I am giving asana a go this week. Question: within your Kanban board, do you include smaller subtasks in the planning section? Or only the larger project umbrella?
I am considering dropping EVERYTHING from the "Today" section of My Tasks into the planning section of Kanban. Move them over a few at a time.

Paul really enjoying your videos - side question did you choose a VA in the end ? If so who, why and how are they working out?

Great videos, extremely helpful. I've got a very basic question, you (and others) appear to be able to access your projects from the left pane -- my free account shows Reports, Teams, Browse Other Teams -- but projects can only be seen in the "main screen" area. Is this because I'm running the "Free" versus the "Premium" version?

@@minor-co Thanks! It wasn't an obvious question at all (at least not to me), and that was the problem. I clicked on the Team, and sure enough, all of the projects magically appear. Thanks again!

Hey Paul, will your personal project show up in the tasks on team projects? I'm wondering if I make a personal Kanban project, whether my teammates will see that i added my tasks to that project

Not if you make the project private to just you.

This was great! I am testing out this structure for the admin team I work with. A great feature was learning how to view a sub task at the project level, but I can't figure out how to remove it. Could you share how to remove it so it can, again, only show in the sub task section on the right?

Thanks! When you click on the subtask, you should see the project that it's also listed in. If you hove your mouse next to the project bubble, a little X will appear allowing you to remove it from the project (but keeping it in the subtask)
