Didn't work for my HP 3080. I've never had a printer so problematic as the HP. Finally threw it in the dumpster and purchased another brand which works perfectly.
@@professoroak1467 - Much depends on the CPU one is using, (Apple/Mac, Windows, etc..) However we found the “Epson” printers to work perfectly with our “Apple/Mac” systems. We had no connection issues with our Wi-Fi’s, computers or any lap devices even when traveling. They “setup” automatically and we have yet to have to call customer service for any issues. “Brother” may be another good printer solution as well but so far the “Epson” printers are working flawlessly and are dependable, to also mention the ink replacement cartridges (I purchase the “high capacity cartridges) are very reasonably price and easily attainable at almost any office supply store and/or on line. “Good luck.”
THIS SETTING IS NOT to allow you to use non HP cartridges in the printer. It is to stop the printer updating a genuine HP cartridge (chip) that will stop it from being used in another printer fleet (Anti theft protection) Wording: "The Cartridge Protection feature allows cartridges to be permanently protected for use in only one fleet of products or product to help prevent theft. If, after cartridges have been protected, they are moved to a device outside the fleet (fleet based) or to a different printer (printer based), these cartridges will be identified as protected and will have to be replaced to continue printing." Nothing to do with using compatible or remanufactured cartridges. Once your HP printer has had a Firmware update that enables dynamic security (stops you using non HP ink) you will have to use HP ink after. There are no config operations on your printer that will turn off dynamic security. You can perform a Firmware downgrade which will revert the firmware to a version that does not have dynamic security, you can find the firmware on some ink sellers' websites. THIS IS THE ONLY SOLUTION. I have done it on my HP 7740 printer.
Hello....I've run out of ideas to see how I can get a non HP Cartridge to work for my very old HP1008. I have tried all the tricks, even swapped the chip from my older, previously working cartridge (also non HP) to my newer one. It's a different brand, so I assume they have something wrong with the chip? I've tried the bidirectional change, the cleaning of the heads etc. Is there a way to remove the HP connection completely for this old one? Just to print? I've even just installed a basic driver.....any ideas?
GUYS! This is a misinformation. He's showing you how to switch off protection for your new cartridge. Not how to turn it off if it pops up on a cartridge you bought.
All of you MUST LEARN The Chip on HP Catridge once INSTALLED On Protected Printer, it will be TRIGGERED PERMANENTLY FOREVER NO WAY TO REVERT IT BACK, You can only replace the chip cable to use it, That’s why now people stick with Canon and Epson, not so complicated like HP with nonsense protection altough people knew Epson and Canon has fairly more expensive ink catridge than HP
@@cutekitty2092 does this mean that it will work after i bought a new cartridge and the cartridge protection is off from the beginning? I have a 4110e with HP305, dies it work with it too?
