His wife is on stage with him at the end because she translates for him, Marcelito only speaks a little English but is learning, although you would never guess hearing him sing in lots of languages he doesn't speak. He had another song prepared for the finals but it was the production's choice of song, and of course Simon knew it, so how could he say such. I heard that in competitions like this, it's scripted and some other past contestants have spoken about it too. Sad......for this reason, I don't watch them.
