But thank god I found you before this blew up, because i really wanted you to read and know what i am about to tell you here. Long story short, i ve been suffering from severe depression for about 15 years now, and even though for some it usually fades out to some extent, mine came and went in stronger and stronger waves. i have to admit 2017 was when really thought there is no darker place for me to be. And it’s when i lost control over my life. It felt worse than dying, and i was 10000% certain there is nothing else in the universe that can be as dark and as horrid as what i felt back then… buut.. boy, was i wrong, because 2021 was the year in which i met something so dark in me, i was sure i wasnt gonna handle life anymore. Anyway… I am one of the milions that saw that viral tiktok of yours, and I am pretty sure you have no clue yet, but I am one of the many people you will have saved from suicide. No, this is no bs, you actually stopped my from doing it… i know how stupid this might sound, but that tiktok made me…feel… Just a little, but it was enough to keep me going. You’re an extremely clever person to have had the idea of writing such a song, thinking it from the perspective of talking to a younger self. i related enough to know that you felt something at least similar to what i felt back when i was in my teen years. Even though i am pretty sure your expercience with the darkness is completely different, i just found some light in obsessing with that 60 second piece that you posted back then. I won’t explain why or how it helped me, because i myself dont really know exactly how it had such an impact. But it’s one of the few things that kept me alive. And even though we are strangers and probably will be forever, just know that i owe you for being, unintenyionally, there for me, and the only thing i feel i can offer in return is making you aware that there will probably be a lot more like me you will never know about, and i would love for you to know that you will never have any clue about all the peoples lives you will influence throught your singing career.
