I've been like 100 feet away and it felt like the vibration was going to compress my head into a small cube much like what a hydrolic press would...even though it the roar being a 100 feet away. And on top of that the lion wasn't even roaring with full power, it was more like just heavy breathing. It's literally the most chilling things I've ever experienced

I live and grew close to a wild park in east africa. Ive encountered so many animals in close range. The few times ive been close to a lion, i had a chance hearing it roar once. Its something my ears will never forget. When close, it sounds like a metalic case full of tools, which is shaken violently. Its a spine chilling mighty sound.

They're pretty safe on the jeep. Wild lions rare attack people in vehicles because they know what the vehicle is; they don't consider it to be prey and tend to just ignore them. They become part of the landscape.
Although it the lion does get a little close for comfort, it can't accelerate as fast as that jeep can.

"How do lions generate such a powerful roar?"
According to Frank Welker, they don't. He had to do a powerful roar into a trash can for _The Lion King_ because real lions' roars weren't good enough.

What i don't get is how this is down to a random evolution when it is part of a larger pattern of independent factors that all seem to be purposefully placed to make a lion king!!
