In 1876, Duncan MacDonald joins the new, 300-member Mounted Police in western Canada, just in time for a dangerous mission. It seems the Cree Indians, raiding across the border in Montana, took two hostages for their safe return to Canada. We shall never see such fine actors again. I have Always admired these two main actors along with Burt Lancaster , Yul Brynner, Gary Cooper , Joel MaCrea , Randolph Scott, and many more. from the days of theatre westerns. I am 74 and have seen just about every great western there is. The only western that comes close lately, was Clint Eastwood in "The Unforgiven". Thank you for uploading this hallmark western. Now....on to the next one here. Enjoy all!

I thought this movie was just one click away from having Don Knotts in the cast.? I just finished watching two classic gems that I never knew about. Both absolute classics. Check them out? Stagecoach (Ann Margaret) and "one eyed jacks" ( marlin Brando, Karl maldin)
There was a whole slew of them. Men and Woman.

Just watched Kirk's biography. What a great human. Then tracked down this film. I'm a happy little vegemite. Great film.
Did the biography mention the time he raped the 14 yr old Natalie Wood? Maybe you'd have to read one of her biographies to get that story.

Pretty damn good example of a man in his mid-sixties, as was Kirk at the time this film was made. Real fans of Kirk will remember his role in Lonely are the Brave, one of his many memorable films, but a particularly artful piece of work that was made about twenty years or so before this film.

Those "Douglass Men" are truly handsome, indeed❗❕🤯🥺. This was the Western Rambo and was truly splendid and action-packed from beginning to ending Woooooooo 📽️🎞️📺Hoooooooo❗❕The trick and suspenseful ending was classic 🥇🏆🎭🎬Theater!!

I was loving it and having some really good laughs at the antics.
Then at 1:18 when the judge was getting off the train, it hit me. The judge, LOL that harry shot.

Continuity problem right off the bat. He blows a hole through his hat, which is his "one and only" hat then in the next scene the hat has no hole.

Film is called "Draw" Never seen or heard of it before but it's quite an unusual form of a western. I've never really liked Kirk Douglas as an actor but he will always be Spartacus. Not the most appealing western for me but I watched it all the way through others might find it entertaining.
Odd for me that I, too, had never seen it before. As an old western (I'm old and come from the southwest) lover of old westerns, and even did reenactments of gunfights on a set outside of Tucson, I really liked the movie, though the end was predictable as is any western comedy.

Finally a western that's not about good guy seeks revenge ...poor widower saved ...kid grows up gets bad guy back...blahh blahh , I'm getting sick of shallow story lines and this movie is a breath of fresh air with a great story and vague lines between good and bad and great acting. They don't make 'em like this anymore.
