Just to give at least some explanation of it. Asahi is just a very very easy to drink beer, very light with little to no bitterness makes it very well suited to having with food and snacks. The closest other beer i can think of is maybe Coors Light, but Asahi honestly tastes better imo

Yeah, when I went to Japan and had one, I really surprise because all the beer in my country only taste bitter and the taste last a long time too but Asahi really tasty for me. I found non in my country tho, the closet I can get is suntory for fruit beer here
very easy to drink maybe like smirnoff ice ?? since other beer that i've tried was only heineken and guinness stout one and those two were not to easy to drink for new comer lol
@ٖ well between those two it is ALOT closer to Heineken but in my opinion still less bitter. But at the end of a day it's still beer and not everyone likes beer and there is nothing wrong with that. If you want to stick with drinks like Smirnoff Ice there's no shame in that. I was much closer to 30 years old than 20 before I started to appreciate more types of beer and even now it isn't my drink of choice. But if I'm in a Japanese restaurant eating a bunch of Japanese food Asahi just hits perfectly right

I usually drink on my room to relax since it quite hard (and far more expensive) to drink in the public restaurant or bar here and mixing Smirnoff with Soju was my go-to drink since college and it doesn't make me having bad hangover too if i wanted to get wasted lol

@@yellow8980 It's a very clean beer that's very easy to drink, which is why it's a go-to for pairing with snacks. Asashi does have a few international distributors, so you may be able to find it locally; it's also not uncommon for teppanyaki restaurants to import it.
My friend I don't know where on this blue marble you are but odds are you can find Asahi near you. I found it at a local liquor store. Granted it was three times as much as every other six pack but I found it.
Asahi should sponsor Hololive. They are drinking it anyway.
There's a funny thing about the main competition in the Japanese beer market. Ebisu's logo is a god of fortune, Kirin's is a Kirin, Sapporo is a Star, and Asahi has nothing, but Asahi was originally a factory that made glue for the military in WW2.
So beer snobs say when you pick a beer, you can pick the God, the Unicorn, the Star, or the Glue Factory...
I love Asahi too. Light beer that is super easy to drink with less bitter after taste. Highly reccomended
Asahi dry is very common here in Australia, just about every local bottle-o stocks them. Very nice beer on a hot Summer's day.

Asahi does have several foreign distributorships, it shouldn't be THAT hard to find. But yeah the Super Dry commercials are quite famous; Sapporo's commercials with their "LOVE BEER?!" tagline are also incredibly well known and often parodied in other media.
Hm, there are a couple Asian markets around here, and a few Japanese restaurants... Think I'll go shopping today

asahi is also my favorite brand of beer! i never felt the need to buy any other types after i've tried asahi so i get why it's so popular
So besides Vtuber and game stuff, I also watched a lot of Japanese sushi cooking video on TH-cam. And there's this one youtuber that I watched a lot that's called Kimagure Cook ch, and he always, ALWAYS, drink Asahi Super Dry everytime he eat his cooking at the end of his video. So It's kinda wild for me seeing that this beer also got mentioned here lmaoo

i like asahi super dry better than sapporo premium, also if u guys going to japan please try some Chūhai like strong zero or chokkyu, it's basically fruit soju with higher ABV

Asahi is one of the beers I drink after finishing a bottle of gin. It is available in almost all convenience store in my country though it is much expensive than other beers....
They both are weak to alcohol and like coffee and asahi dry beer
Asahi is far from my favorite beer but it is definitely worth trying of you can find it. All the bad alcohol tends to stay in it's home country. Only the cream of the crop gets exported
While I was there I tried Sapporo, Kirin, and Asahi, but Asahi was definitely the one I preferred. (Unless Cassis was an option)

The typical choices for a weeb wanting a little nomimasu is Sapporo, Asahi, and whatever sake their local liquor store could cheaply import. Sure, Asahi may be easy drinking and goes well with meals, but this is only what makes it the least egregious option. It's why so many weebs will say "I don't drink beer but..." before asking for an *ASAHI SUPER DRY*
If it's any consolation, Asahi pretty much tastes like any other typical lager across the world, just a little less sweet and as the name suggests, drier. For what it is, it's alright. It's hardly a taste sensation or anything.
