Quick Otis Elevators @ West Tower at Luxor - Las Vegas, NV.

These are the west tower elevators at Luxor. There's also the east tower elevators which are identical. This is where I stayed on my Vegas trip, on the 20th floor. As you can see, the "smart" floor lockout system is incredibly dumb. Even when I do have the key it doesn't work right!

I absolutely hate this smart floor lockout. It has so many disadvantages, not letting elevator filmers ride these things fully, and for other uses. If for example, I went to visit someone and they were on a different floor than me, it would be one heck of a pain because of this crap system, so I gotta take the stairwell in that scenario. It's best to use the non-smart keyed keycard system because one key unlocks everything, making things very easy for people to use.

Those smart floor access setups really suck if you're with a group and want to visit someone on another floor.

I can't stand those smart key systems. This video is proof that the system is not reliable. I stayed here in September 2022 and it was a pain in the ass to use.

I stayed at Excalibur, and they also had the smart card lockout crap! Same goes for Mandalay Bay! MGM, you suck!
