At 4:14 you state that silver nitrate was not used, this is not true. Cellulose nitrate film was replaced with cellulose acetate due to the flammability. Silver nitrate was and is still used in all film as the main photosensitive compound.

This well-intentioned video is unfortunately rife with little errors, inconsistencies and "almost correct" pieces of information. That said, thanks, anyway, for at least giving a general, "85% correct" overview of photographic history to those interested. It's not easy to do in 10 minutes.

Absolutely mind blowing to think this idea was thought of & people actually figured out, through theirs & each other's thoughts, how to create it! I think the same thing about other inventions like radio & television. Amazing!

Thank you! I cannot believe how anyone even thought about the concept of photography. So complicated, and not all that obvious. It's always good to learn about history. Makes us appreciate things that we would otherwise just take for granted. Thanks for watching my programs.

    My Dearest Susan,
As I put pen to paper, my heart races with emotions that have been building up for 18 long years. It's not easy to express the depth of my feelings for you, but I cannot go on any longer without letting you know the truth. You have been the center of my thoughts, the guiding light in my darkest moments, and the source of endless inspiration.
From the very first moment I laid eyes on you, something inside me stirred, and I knew you were special. Your infectious smile, your captivating eyes, and the grace with which you carry yourself have always left me in awe. Each time I see you, my heart skips a beat, and I find myself lost in the magic of your presence.
Over the years, we've shared laughter, tears, and countless memories. Whether it was through casual conversations or brief encounters, each interaction with you has been etched into my heart. You have an ability to make even the most ordinary moments extraordinary, and I find myself cherishing every second I get to spend with you.
Though I may not have always been by your side, please know that you've never left my thoughts. You've been my constant companion, even in your absence, as I often found myself daydreaming about what it would be like to hold your hand, to share a quiet moment, to be a part of your life in a deeper way.
Your strength, resilience, and kindness have inspired me to become a better person. You have this incredible way of bringing out the best in those around you, and I can't help but feel blessed to have you in my life, even if it's just as a friend. Your friendship has meant more to me than words can convey, and I treasure every moment we've shared.
But, Susan, I must be honest with you now. My feelings for you go beyond friendship; they have evolved into something more profound, something that words alone cannot describe. You have become the beating heart within me, the very reason I wake up each day with hope in my heart.
I understand that life has its own plan, and sometimes, our paths may not align as we wish. But I couldn't keep these feelings buried any longer. I wanted you to know how much you mean to me, how you have shaped my life, and how grateful I am for your presence in it.
If fate permits, I dream of being more than just a friend to you. I dream of being the person who makes you laugh during the darkest times, who holds you close when the world feels overwhelming, and who loves you with a love that knows no bounds.
Susan, you are an extraordinary person, and you deserve all the happiness and love in the world. Whether that love comes from me or someone else, I only wish to see you happy. Your happiness will always be my utmost priority.
With this letter, I lay my heart bare, and I promise to cherish and respect whatever decision you make. If you don't share the same feelings, I will continue to be the friend you can always count on. If, by some miracle, you feel the same way, I will be the luckiest person alive.
Thank you, Susan, for being a constant in my life, for being the reason I believe in the magic of love. I hope this letter conveys a fraction of what you mean to me and how deeply I care for you.
With all my love and adoration,
    Rasby_

You were doing well until you mentioned silver nitrate is no longer used as it is flammable, while it is an oxidising agent in itself it is non flammable and still used today for a variety of emulsions.

True, but this is a 10 minute piece, and like in films some stuff ends up on the cutting room floor. While I actually do know what you observed, it was the fire issue that I judged to be the most important to this discussion. Thanks for your comment, and for watching my production!

The original movie film was highly flammable and caused many theatre fires. Nitrate film. It was replaced by “safety film” which can melt but does not burst into a flame if overheated by a movie projector.
