It is really good…better homemade. I use jerk and creole seasonings and tad bit of ginger with carrots, peppers, scotch bonnet sauce, onions, scallions and garlic…don’t forget the browning sauce too…

This is my favorite meal my husband makes . It’s the best when it’s that sticky gravy omg my favorite!!! But when it fall off the bone and it’s like just chicken and gravel over the rice !!! Hey Dani and AJ, as usual the food looks good! Topic: you both have valid points about the mirrors. However, although this may be a temporary fix, something needs to be done. Rules, picks, etc were created because someone took advantage, took others for granted, or did something he/she wasn't supposed to do. And unfortunately, others have and will suffer because of those people. In this day and time where you have parents who gave birth to children who would never do anything wrong and will fight because of them, something vs nothing has to be done. When I was in school, those who had medical issues had a note on file from a doctor. I'm sure that hasn't changed today. But what other recourse do the schools have? The only solution to this is bathroom monitors. That's just as crazy but since cellphones are now affordable and many have them, this isn't going away and kids are going to find away to post to social media. The school districts don't have anyone to sit and monitor activities all day and the teachers who don't care aren't going to fight this.
Good point. Bathroom monitors do work sometimes. My daughter came close to being blamed for something two girls were doing in the bathroom who were in there at the same time. The bathroom monitor walked in and caught the 2 girls and tried adding my daughter to it, but she was clearly not involved and was on the toilet. My daughter ended up not being punished because the 2 girls had been in the bathroom longer than my daughter when the principal and teacher checked the time.

The children that are always in the hallway or bathroom for long periods of time are the children that have been behavior problems already. 30 minutes out of class is clearly a child cutting class with permission under the guise of using the bathroom. That's enough time to do a lot of stuff he or she has no business. Most teachers do the best they can, trying to maintain order and teach. Some parents have made it difficult for teachers.
I think the best solution to the bathroom problem is what Dannie said she used to have to do the teachers should time them 5min to pee 10 to poo anything over that you get a dentition slip or a call to the parent. Cause when I was in high school I went to Tarrant a small school in Birmingham Alabama when kids acted up they didn’t suspend us they made us stay after school for detention for a hour or 2 and had to do “ chores” like help clean the classrooms, help the cafeteria staff, help clean up the gyms or fields after sports practice, have to help put the books back where they belong in the library, or have to do all our homework from each class we had and couldn’t leave till it was done and that actually helped cause we hated it and stopped acting out and for the kids who still wouldn’t sopped got ISS and just was put in a class by themselves the whole day even for lunch for like a whole week or 2

I have worked in a school where the bathrooms didn’t have any mirrors. I didn’t like it because like you said with women issues and things we need to have mirrors. I am a teacher. I teach fifth grade and this is a concern that we deal with every day. Students are spending too much time in the restroom. The boys they go in there and the horse play and then it turns into a fight. The girls are making TikTok videos, putting on make up, some are fighting, some are sneaking on their phones, because we have a no phone policy, filming each other, and so many other things. As far as the five days suspensions the comment was made that all you do is inconvenience the parent. We tried to give extensive days of out of school suspension due to violent threats like students making threats to do harm (kill) But other than that they typically get three days for fighting. Excessive misbehaving is typically a day or two. Sometimes the only way to get parents to do something about their students behavior is inconvenience in them because their students misbehavior is an inconvenience to the learning process that we’re trying to have take place in our classroom. I am a single mother of four sons. So from my parent perspective, I think it is imperative that the parent/teacher/school administrators have an open portal for communication. The parent has to support the school. Kids know that they’ll be minimal punishment when they get home or no punishment. I have had a parent be very upset with me because I held her student accountable because he refused to take his test. So when his grade drop below passing, she wanted me to allow him to go back and take the test two weeks later and I wouldn’t do it. I called her that day and emailed her and she did not respond until his grade dropped. There’s hardly any accountability for the students. And that makes it so hard to have a positive learning environment. On another note this food looks totally delicious. I appreciate and respect your perspective on this issue.

Now I will say as a parent of two adults I totally agree with at home suspension because if a child acts up at school it is not the school's responsibility to discipline your child and if your child causes you to have to take off from work enough you just might make sure that the problem gets taken care of So I totally agree with at home suspension Because it is the parent's job to discipline their children and not the schools if the schools have to discipline a child then that takes away from the time needed to educate the other students
