Considering everything that happened in Late Night City Tales, I feel like this is what Limu sings to herself knowing that her master is never coming back and that she will never have BF to stay and sing with her for god knows how long Limu has been staying at that castle.
I apologize for this rant of mine, I just have strong opinions about the mod as a whole. Know that this isn’t necessarily directed to you JS, I just wanted my opinion to be known Limu’s vocals makes this song better, but I still find Broken Heart my least favorite song out of the six. Of course, that doesn’t mean I dislike the song. I just like the others more. It’s also a problem with all of the songs. They all feel, a bit repetitive. Azure Encounter plays it well. Limu’s side is repetitive, but it’s meant to be the harmony so it more than makes up for it. Secret Marilee has Limu sing the same thing for a third of the song, she is also more quiet, something I find missing in the song, however both the instrumental itself and BF helps fill in for her. Also the glass shattering her laughter in the background when you hit a corrupt note goes extremely well with the song. Aquaphobia is repetitive but, come on, it’s Aquaphobia. Limu now sings both harmony, symphony, and even a duet. Lonely Sapphire is only instrumental and doesn’t lack in any too much. But Broken Heart feels empty, other than the parts at the beginning and end(which are my favorites), the song lacks a harmony, both characters’ vocals cut too short when singing the harmony. The symphony also lacks differentiation, instead of one side repeating and the other constantly changing, both sides are now repeating. The instrumental is great especially the choir, however it is not in the foreground of the song, which makes it more drowned out by the vocals. The chimes from the Health notes do make it sound a lot better. 0:42 This part is fantastic because you have one singing the symphony with the piano and the other singing the harmony with the choir in the background. Though the beat drop doesn’t really go overboard thankfully, it also doesn’t have a good payoff.
