You’ve only watched a few Angelina songs, so I’d like to add something here. Of course you’re right that her voice has developed and matured since you saw her at 9 years old. If you watch Angelina’s debut to the world at 7, channeling Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday, you’ll see a huge difference between her at 7 and 9. That’s just logical, but it’s impossible to dismiss or look over her earlier songs because they stand on their own. Angelina is the best child singer I’ve ever heard, and I love her early work as much as her later songs. No question that her voice has developed into one of the best in the world, but since the two of you like 50’s era music, watch Angelina sing Bang, Bang, or What a Difference a Day Makes, or Feelin Good. She is very, very young and she’s phenomenal. Yes, it’s a child’s voice that hasn’t matured, but the delivery and range Angelina gives us are performances that are timeless.
Loved your reaction but... I have to agree. While 'I Put a Spell on You' is a masterpiece it only shows her in the one time she went full Beast Mode! It absolutely does not represent how truly exceptionally beautiful her voice has been from the beginning and how it just kept getting more beautiful with every song she did. She was a crooner from the beginning to rival the best crooners in the world, past or present. Her improvement from her first to her last performance on Norways Got Talent with her first introduction to the world at age 7 singing 'Gloomy Sunday' by Billie Holiday Followed by her performance of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' also from Billie Holiday sung accapella! This followed by a more refined voice in 'Bang, Bang' by Nancy Sinatra. By the time of her final performance of George Gershwin's 'Summertime' when she had just turned 8 her voice had already developed into the beautiful voice we all recognize as Angelina! While her voice was still immature it was still stunningly beautiful for someone at any age with the ability to convey the very essence of a song that draws you in and captures your soul! She is unmatched at this! By anyone at any time in my opinion. Each performance was several weeks or more between which you can watch as her front tooth grows in. Summertime was almost ethereal in it's beautiful tone! In other words neither one of you really understand how stunningly beautiful her voice has always been and has just become even more advanced and more beautiful with each performance. Loved your reaction but you still have no idea how good she was when she was young, How good she has always been. You just get no hint of that in 'Beast Mode' Angelina in 'I Put a Spell on You'
Her best original songs are: "Shield" (Live version, 12 years old), "7th heaven" (in-studio live version, 14y) and "Million miles" (in-studio live, 15y). Have fun!
@@toolman1one86 yes Oslo is an original, and so is “what is life” which wasn’t mentioned above. All of them are unique and wonderful in their own right😄
If all you've seen of Angelina is this and 'I Put as Spell on You' then you really haven't looked in to her enough. This girl doesn't have just one voice. If your friend like 30s, 40s, and 50s jazz, then Angelina is your girl. She won Norway's gort Talent at 8 singing songs by Billie Holiday, Porgy and Bess, and that young'un Nancy Sinatra. You should check those out. Her entire vocal development history (so far) is all on video. Her catalogue feels like a vocal master class 😎
The storytelling from Angelina is so good. The way she sings certain words are insane ❤ Check out her cover of Feeling Good at age 10, and her originals Million Miles, tearjerker, and 7th Heaven a song of hope 👍 Brilliant upbeat song ❤
I think that the video was KPop influenced color wise to capture the youth attention and add a modern touch.Angelina's uncle/manager Michael directed and edited this.In his youth he spent 11 yrs in Japan with his sis (Sara,Angelina's mom),mom Mery and her Japanese husband.Michael worked in the nightclubs as an underaged DJ (16 yrs old).So looked at from that perspective I think it's a brilliant touch to add bright colors to satisfy the visual need,as they also added for her cover of the Beatles Yesterday.
Her voice developed incredibly rapidly after she turned eight. If you like throw-back, here she is, at ten, with an amazing performance Cole Porter's 1944 classic, "Every Time We Say Goodbye". She performs it somewhat in the style of Ella Fitzgerald's 1956 version. The video was made by Norway's TV2 so audio and video are superb. th-cam.com/video/KRSI8HmTHJA/w-d-xo.html
Great reaction. I like your set observations. Angelina has over 130 covers that are pretty much what you prefer... nothing but her and a guitar or piano. Angelina was signed by Republic Records late in 2020, and since then, much of what she has produced has come through them. As a priority artist, they have given her a lot of leeway, particularly with her covers (most covers don’t encounter copyright problems with reactors). This is my opinion, but the sets employed in her recent covers are Angelina “playing in her new playground” with all of Republic Record’s resources at her disposal. I think this is the case with this video as well as her Beatles cover “Yesterday”. For recent videos of her on a stage with just her voice and sparse accompaniment, check out her cover of Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World”, her own “Million Miles” (live studio version), or her live studio version cover of Adele’s “All I Ask”. Nice job. Well done, both of you. 👍😉
Appreciate it, Peter! Glad you enjoyed the reaction. We're excited to dive into more of Angelina's work. That Yesterday cover sounds especially enticing to me since I'm a huge Beatles fan. I think we'll probably do something original from her next, though. Cheers!! -Matt
Good idea Rockstar. “Yesterday” is an absolutely beautiful song, it the video portion is similar to what you just reacted to. The live studio versions of “Million Miles”, and “7th Heaven” are both exactly what you’re looking for. 😉
Here are live studio versions of her recent OG's. 7th Heaven: th-cam.com/video/bM8DzMRbiIc/w-d-xo.html. Million Miles, honoring her late grandfather: th-cam.com/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/w-d-xo.html. The pianist in both cases is Rob Christie, studio director, Republic Records in LA.
Lily looks like me when watching a video, ie mouth and arms 😂😂😂 AJ is also a painter and she likes colours. I guess they wanted to have som fun with it. And considering the dark and grey period we've been through, nothing wrong with that 😊 But I agree, AJ and a piano in a smokie lounge is all we need. Regarding her own material, I believe she has plenty in her drawer and she is still producing. We have lots and lots to look forward to, in due time, and when she feels ready 😊
Gotta agree with all the comments suggesting Seventh Heaven. Easily my new favorite of her originals. Great lyrics. Thanks for the reaction. See you next time. :)
Great to hear your views on this. Love Angelina and fascinated to see what she comes out with next; she's full of surprises. Love the end of your reaction video by the way!
I totally agree with you, singer (sorry I don't know your name), the best thing is her and a microphone, better seated in front of a piano, the rest is superfluous.
Angelina is the best talent I ever seen. My mom was a famous singer in the Big Band Era, and sang for all the top bands in the country. She would have loved Angelina, as her skills are beyond description. Great reaction, and check out her originals
@@johnroache32 type in Palma Lee on you tube. My brother recorded her when she was in her 60’s. She was amazing in the late 40’s and early 50’s Thank you for asking. RIP mom

Thank you for your reaction. One thing you must understand, you can never make assumptions about Angelina voice or style by only listen to on or two of her covers. She is also known as the girl with a 1000 voices. To fully understand her you must go back to when she performed at NGT when she was 7 and won when she was 8. Then you must also listen to some of her over 140 covers especially when she was 10 until she was 13. She sings different genres. Listen to her cover of "Diamonds are for ever" when she was 11 and " Its a man's world" when she was 12 etc. About the video, there is a lot in the retro video that you have to look at like the old things that are in the video. Angelina never do anything with her songs without a reason. So you will see a mask in her cover of " The show must go on". Again the symbolism of the mask. Her latest own songs are " Million Miles" and "7th Heaven". Looking forward to more reactions of Angelina.
Awesome reaction, thanks so much for sharing! 💖 I wish you had shown Lily a quick clip from 'I put a spell on you' so she had an idea of what kind of a child singer Angelina was 😊 Anyways, hope to see more from you two soon, its always interesting to hear two peoples opinion together. 7th Heaven is a good example of what her original work souds like. There is a music video that is 'perfectly' produced, and sounds more like pop. And there is a 'live in studio' version with real instruments, that sounds more jazzy. Im guessing Lily would prefer the last one ✌
I actually prefer her singing with the backup singers instead of her singing both tracks layered over each other. To me it sounds overly produced. I also prefer the sound of the stand-up base over the electronically added base (matched to sync with the base players motions) that is used in the music video version. I amneither “right” nor “wrong”, it’s merely my opinion. 😬😉👍
Oh thanks a lot for your Reaction. And as her original goes there are quite some out there the new ones are “seventh heaven” which is great “million miles” is also awesome and the younger ones were “shield” and “Oslo “ and “what is life”I think it’s called.
You don't need to find excuses to state your opinions. There is nothing better than a reaction where the reactor does that. There are so many reactions, where the reactor says, what he or she thinks, AJ's fans wants to hear. The result is, that it's such a waste of time, to see the reaction. Your reaction is top class! I know you're talking about reacting to her own originals, and you should, but you should also see some of her covers. She is absolutely insanely good at making songs that she covers, her own. The best known is Bohemian Rhapsody. It is from an AGT show, but if you just react to the song itself, I won't hold it against you :D
I would seriously encourage you to go down the rabbit hole with Angelina Jordan. Her take on an artist’s song as well as her own songs are life-changing
Just her voice and a piano...maybe a guitar, in so many of her covers. Angelina brings out the essence of every song she sings, yet puts her own spin on it. Thanks for the reaction/analysis!
1) Appreciate the honest, no BS opinion/assessment. 2) The question arises: "Where's Lily been"? Having said that, I'm constantly asking myself, "Where have I been?" (There's _lots_ of great talent roaming around out there, and there are just so many hours in a day.) 3) Cutest thing Angelina said, as a younger child, when responding to Rosie O'Donnell on her show: "I won the 'Norway's Got Talent'" with her thick accent (at the time). 4) I don't think you're going to hear a whole lot of original stuff coming from Angelina - she's a great stylist, but her forte is covers. 5) To me (every one of her fans has their favorite), Angelina proved her mettle by going out on a limb and doing a fine cover of a song that practically _nobody_ should have the guts and audacity to attempt: The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.
Thank you - we try and keep things honest! That being said, I try and choose artists for this channel I've heard are really talented so I know we'll be happy with what we're listening to. Angelina doesn't disappoint! As for where Lily's been, the world of music is so huge that we're discovering new, awesome talent every day. We're coming from the world of rock and metal, so we're not as familiar with artists like Angelina. One of my favorite things about having this channel is I get to discover amazing people like her!
Lily, I think that you are so right about the video was a distraction. I think that another reason for this to happen is when someone has a voice that commands such attention. You two are a killer couple in the reaction scene. It is going to be so much fun watch you as you wind your way down the rabbit hole. Always remember this: "When I sing I go to another world. The world is endless. It's like, full of happiness. I love it. It's amazing. And when I am on stage, I don't want to go [leave the stage]. [laughing]. I just want to be on stage" A snippet of Skaylan’s interview of Angelina Jordan (age 12) on Norwegian TV - November 2018
This was a great reaction to current Angelina. Her beautiful voice as it is today. Loved your reaction but... Or 'Fly Me to the Moon' performed on 'The View' about the same time. th-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/w-d-xo.html Check these out and you begin to understand. Watch her eyes in these performances. You can see Angelina is in her own world, 'a wonderful place' as she has described it. Thank you for your reaction, loved it but as I said you guys still have no idea...
Thanks for the reaction to Angelina. She’s an amazing human as well as a great singer. Read up on her background and you’ll discover a humble, empathetic and generous soul. As for the video - she is very deliberate with the choices she makes (these colors can be seen in Michael Jackson’s original Billie Jean video), and then also the stage sets were filled with retro items like old typewriters, phonographs, etc. She pays tribute to the original artists in many subtle ways that you’ll discover as you continue on your Angelina journey.😄
Totally agree with you guys on the video part. On the part of simple, original and live, try our "Million Miles" and "7th Heaven" - studio live versions :)
Enjoyed your reaction; the early jazz era music you described as your favorite is Angelina's preferred. She grew up listening but the like of Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Ella just to name a few. The ambiance, dark stage, her singing an ORIGINAL song "7th Heaven" LIVE STUDIO VERSION fits your description to a tee..of course required a piano, stand up bass, snare drum, and a single back up singer, but It's your dream scene/music come true... I STRONGLY recommend this particular version, you'll not be disappointed. Our Barefoot Princess will rock your jazz world...WARNING ⚠️ Once you get started, you might be able to turn back... All of us who fell under her beautiful musical talent, are still in awe at what she can do with her voice. Her emotional maturity can only be explained as young genius, prodigy, when you hear her OWN a song, and wonder HOW she plays with the talent that is her voice, to reach your heart as easily as if you'd just handed it to her. Enjoy, ENJOY, E-N-J-O-Y...
Lily & Matt: The sets you saw have a purpose that her followers understand as there is a purpose in everything AJ does. Her left hand is exposed throughout - MJ's white glove. The two guitars in two of the rooms represent the two acoustic guitarists she uses for many of her videos - one in Oslo the other in LA. The green top represents her favorite green boots - the reason she is barefoot, the color scheme, the retro aspect and other trinkets have meaning. If you continue watching her videos you will slowly understand. Lily - at 10 years old she could sing with the superstars. She won Norway's got talent in 2014 - won when she was 7 - aired when she was 8. Opened the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize singing to the co-winners. Opened Quincy Jones 85th birthday concert per Jones' request at 12 yo. Many, if not most, of her covers are better than the originals - you will see if you continue on.

@@douglasdennett4583 well states and agree. Angelina is a wise young lady. You are a wonderful person and totally devoted to Angelina which is commendable
Lily, if you like 40s and 50s music, then you might enjoy the song she sang the first time she broke the internet - Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday" - when she first auditioned for 2014 Norway's Got Talent. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/rI6ZhRk86Hs/w-d-xo.html Oh yeah, she was 7 (she is 15 now and has over 150 different songs, many from the 40s and 50s.) up on TH-cam. And, much of it is just her and a microphone.
If you want to hear one of her original songs, in a Jazz night club, as you described, here she is. Written at age 14 her arrangement (she arranges all of her songs even when she was 7 years old on Norway’s Got Talent, which she won). th-cam.com/video/9rLiWvwzbCA/w-d-xo.html Here she is at age 12 (the title is wrong) singing I’d Rather Go Blind, th-cam.com/video/pK8mMXQb3_I/w-d-xo.html And since you love 40’s music, there is no better composer than Cole Porter! So here’s 9 year old Angelina singing, Every Time We Say Goodbye th-cam.com/video/KRSI8HmTHJA/w-d-xo.html And finally the first time the world got to hear her, at age 7 singing Billie Holidays Gloomy Sunday. This is a fan created duet with Angelina and Billie Holiday, she of course sang it alone on the competition th-cam.com/video/H_5_AT_N-pg/w-d-xo.html
Thank you again. For original songs you may want to listen to, here are the following. 7th heaven.. music video age 15 A million miles, studio version age 15 Shield, age 12, indoor concert What is life?, Live version age 11, her very first original
This was exactly what the lady was asking for ,dark stage , a piano, and AJ voice , singing a song she wrote . Enjoyed your reaction thumbs up to you 👍 both , she has over 130 covers which at least 30% are jazz and blue's most are unbelievable good
Marvin Boswell, The video that Avila 64 is recommending is the music video version, NOT the live studio version as you have described. I agree with you that this is the preferred version for them to react to. The video version is equally compelling but without full knowledge of the background story of the song, I think that the effusive symbolism of the music video version could be distracting (IMHO😬).
Moronic reaction. How much cheaper can it get than renting five rooms for half an hour in a hotel made it their thing to paint in different colors in combination with a granny with one simple camera and then in post stitch it all together with a recording done at home? I bet it was all free of charge.
@@peterhormell1511 Watch the video and you will learn what I'm talking about. Until then you're not entitled to an opinion. I'll go home and you shut up.
As others have said, most of her covers are just her and one instrument. She is the greatest singer I've ever heard. She has many many voices but at her core, she is a jazz singer. Check out her live cover of "its a mans world" or any of her Adele covers. With pretty much every cover she does, she brings it to her world and makes it better than the original. You really can't go wrong with what you choose to listen to next (most reactors usually go to her AGT Bohemian rhapsody) but just make sure you continue down the Angelina Jordan rabbit hole, you'll be happy you did :)
Nowadays Angelina Jordan vocal is considered the top of the 10 best in the whole world, Her mesmerizing renditions, so touching and full of emotion and, with that tone full of colors, by the way I am not vocal coach , a song writer or a singer. I m Just a regular person who likes music , but I think I have good earing for the good music specially coming from an angelic voice.
Voice development is pretty obvious and dramatic with her. Its also a completely different song and arrangement however, which shouldn't be underestimated when we're talking about her. You'll see over time she's quite versatile, showing in almost each new song a pleaseant new facette.
Gorgeous performance by Diana ❗ NEW: 25.09.2021 Diana Ankudinova Can’t Help Falling in Love (Elvis Presley / DARK VERSION cover) Please react to Diana Ankudinova ! She has insane and unique vocals and great stage presence and her performances (from the show You are Super ! ( win twice ) are gorgeously choreographed and you should find them very interesting. Top song choices are up Wicked Game Derniere Danse, Blizzard , Human , River . She is really an amazing young artist!
Thanks for another great reaction to another great Angelina performance of a well know song that she re-interprets with her own unique style. Looking forward to more of your reactions. Highly recommend the studio live versions of 2 of her original songs - Million Miles & 7th Heaven. Also several amazing covers: Feeling Good (either outdoor or indoor version), Back To Black, I'd Rather Go Blind & her unbelievable I'm Still Holding Out For You. Of course you also need to see her AGT audition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.
7th Heaven is great, Lilly will love it but I would like to watch you guys react to Summertime on Norways got talent when she was 8 years old, she was born to sing jazz.
JUST SUBSCRIBED because it looks like you might be doing more Angelina reactions. Liliy got it exactly right with just a mic and a piano on a small stage. The vast majority of her videos are just that. 40s and 50s jazz and maybe some 30s jazz..got plenty to choose from. "Summertime" 2016 version at 10 and 2014 version at 8. "AT LAST", at 8, "Cry Me A River, Proysenfestivalen 21.07.2017" at 11. All of these are "on stage" performances and there is still many more. Looking forward to future AJ reactions. Love it when real musicians are reacting to my favorite singer!! Cheers from Florida

Hello. I suggest the originals Shield, Million Miles, what is life, Oslo, 7th heaven. Most Lyrics, Music and arrangements by Angelina. Shield in the age of 10
Lily and Matt outstanding reaction to Angelina's "Billie Jean" cover. However, what you will find out going back to Angelina Jordan first introduction to the public on "Norway has Talent" show. That somehow Angelina at 7 years old, open her mouth and "Billie Holiday" voice came out singing "Gloomy Sunday"? Than Angelina continue to amazed the Judges and every one on the show with 3 other well know classic songs winning the Contest hands down! You both are right about Angelina voice changing as she matured becoming more Jazzy at 15 years old ! She has a unique voice that penetrates your soul moving grown men and woman to tears , I'm one of them.
I believed the bright colors represented the colors in Michaels video. Angelina was a star when she sang "Gloomy Sunday" for her audition at Norway's Got Talent when she was 7 years old. She went on to win the competition at 8 singing "Summertime" for her finale.
For an original song on a dark stage with a piano and cello and a mike, watch Million Miles, the song she wrote as a tribute to her grandfather, who passed away when she was twelve. It's exactly what you asked for
I really enjoyed your reaction and so I subscribed.Angelina it’s truly a musical genius and you will discover this the more you hear her sing especially her different genres. Angelina is totally in a league of her own and each different Song that she sings will always shock us because she is so amazing. Angelina has proved herself already to be one of the greatest vocalist and in some peoples opinions she is the best.Thank you once again and I really enjoyed your reaction
If you like "Fly me to the moon" look for when she was singing for Quinsy Jones 85th birthday concert. You have one from rehersal and one from the consert with a full jazz bande.
Two of her songs you need to hear are “It’s a Man’s World” and “I’m Still Holding Out For You”. She just crushes both of them. I mean, she will blow you away. Then there are two songs she sang on America’s Got Talent. “Yellow Brick Road and “Bohemian Rhapsody”. All different styles and all mastered like a 35 yr old pro.
7th Heaven is her latest original. She has two videos, the Studio and the Official Video. The Studio version shows her as if she was singing in a night club. The official video is a bigger production, but it’s very good and well done. She also has another original released late 2020 called “Million Miles” and this one also has two videos done, a studio and an official video. I personally like the studio versions better. Then also she has several new covers. The Beatles cover is done in a room similar to this one. Covers from Michael Jackson, Adele and Whitney/Mariah songs are all simple and just Great beyond words. Angelina was 14 for her original million miles (which she wrote for her Grandpa who passed away but she dedicates to everyone who has lost a loved one) and she was 15 years old for the other one released this year. You will love them all, Guaranteed. Or if you wish, you could listen to any of the other 130 covers by 70+ artists she’s recorded since she was 6 years old. There is also a true story about why she sings barefooted. Thank you once again for a great and honest reaction.
Great reaction! I think It's actually easy to see that this isn't a huge production. It's indoors in a little studio somewhere in LA (probably, as she is living there now) and the camera/editing is not very advanced. However, AJA and her (family) crew of artists do know sound and she always sounds divine (something to do with that world heritage protected, instrument of hers....) Being creative and making her own videos, shows all the qualities we now expect from AJA, after all, she has been making them along with her family for quite some time now.
I think the thing that threw us was the fact that these sets would be pretty difficult to create, not realizing they were already set up for some other reason and she's just using them. Made it seem like a bigger production. I'm personally fine with the look for cover videos, it's bright and simple and just something nice to look at while enjoying some awesome music!
@@MattFarkas Yeah, I usually listen to AJA in the car or when I'm moving around with headphones. Videos are fine, but that voice takes all the attention anyway lol. Will have a look at her life when she starts doing proper concerts again, that's the best way Imo.
Angie sings a cappella and the accompaniment syncs with her timing. This is her style. Jazzy/blues, though she dips into all genres. Checkout he TikTok for her latest!
Angelina originals from 11-12 years old: Oslo, What is Life, Shield. Million Miles,(Republic Records) is as far as I know also her original . Another very different style is TRDX featuring Angelina Jordan in Above Water. great reaction. Loved it. I agree. Angelina + a mic = the best. Most of the times. Most of her covers are "home made" that way.
Angelina has recorded 5 originals so far: Oslo (11) th-cam.com/video/uxF-KiiSVoA/w-d-xo.html What is Life? (12) th-cam.com/video/Bv0r77KN7RA/w-d-xo.html Shield (12) th-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/w-d-xo.html Million Miles (14) th-cam.com/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/w-d-xo.html
7th Heaven (15) th-cam.com/video/9rLiWvwzbCA/w-d-xo.html Also, it is important to point that she does all her own arrangements on her covers (over 140) since she started singing (publically since age 7) and currently works with the Stargate production team on her originals. She is currently signed with Republic Records - Her first U.S. Album and concert tour is pending - delayed due to COVID. She will be 16 years old on January 10, 2022.
she always does in- studio totally plain with a piano .. sometimes a cello or base always .. so that's her norm. This was her uncle playing who directed these and he'd found these studios done in one color each .. so they decided to use them. They did Billie Jean and then they did Yesterday by the Beatles in an orange set. She basically still just sits or stands and sings .. so that is her go- to. You will see when you start seeing her videos .. she had almost 150 covers online .. so have fun!
Ok - That was fun ... It looks like you're still early in your AJ journey - yes? And I see I already left you a list of favs LOL so I won't relist here LOL But this was good too - thanks!
original songs of Angelinas just to name a few, Shield (12yo), Million Miles (live in studio) (14 yo), 7th Heaven, (14yo) you will not be disappointed with these 3 songs. some of her covers to check out are , Diamonds Are Forever, (11 yo) (live outdoor concert), I Have Nothing (13yo)( 1 take live), Easy On Me (15yo), and My Funny Valentine (16yo). all of these are amazing !!!! there are so many more to choose from over the years. she did a demo for a song when she was 10, called "I'm Still Holding Out For You". this song was never meant to be released to the public because of the content of the song, Suicide.
Nicely done you two,, an I agree that all Angelina needs is just a mic an a stage and let her vocal cords do the rest,, maybe a instrument or two but I don't think she even needs that,, we all know that her vocals is beautiful acapella,, 👣🌬🌎
She has lots of live, she wrote a million miles, very emotional dedication to the passing of her grandfather, check it out. Thanks for your honest straight forward reaction
She has plenty of covers she has arranged and has written plenty of music since 10. No one can do the justice to the song she did at 9 of I put a spell on you. She composes & arranges and is now 15. She has been featured in concerts live TV and music festivals. She also has done studio versions & live. I think Europe knows her very well as well as other Musicians. Sorry to say America is behind the curve. She became know here in America at 13 when she appeared on AGT the champions. Your comment on not liking the production backdrop? Come on she’s 15.
You should try (Seventh Heaven) Original song written and sung by Angelina Jordan. Angelina is a young woman who can sing any style and do it flawlessly. She has 140 or 150 covers, she has around I think six original song so far at 15 years old (Million Miles) is a song written for her recently deceased grandfather. (Shield) is another one. Another original song is (Head Above The Water) And she actually does quite a bit of jazz, you should hear her rendition of Billy Holidays (I’m A Fool To Want You) The studio version when she’s about 13 years old with her grandmother in the studio with her is the best version of this song, she has sung this song at different times in her life, but this studio version is the best, it is put out by {Rusty Shackleford.} She also sings Adele songs, Rihanna songs, and you should hear her rendition of the song (Born To Die) by Lana del Rey. At seven years old she sang George Gershwin song (Summertime) on Norway’s Got talent)
I don't think they spent a lot of money on this production which was not done under her record label. She has the freedom to continue doing cover songs on her YT Cover Channel. It was Directed & Edited by her Maternal Uncle/Manager, Michael Astar, the monochromatic rooms are at a studio in LA, so she only needs to rent it for a day or less & the Mic is hers. The pianist could be her mentor at Republic Records, Rob Christie, or a karaoke backing track as she used on her recent Beatles cover of Yesterday in an orange room. She has composed 5 songs from the age of 10-15. Her 2 latest are Million Miles (14), an emotional song about the loss of a loved one, in her case her maternal grandpa. th-cam.com/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/w-d-xo.html and 7th Heaven (15), an inspirational jazz song about never giving up on your dreams & living life with hope. th-cam.com/video/bM8DzMRbiIc/w-d-xo.html Both links are the live studio versions as she's always best live, IMO.
@@johnroache32 As I said, she has composed 5 original songs, What is Life. Oslo, Shield, Million Miles & 7th Heaven. There are 2 songs written for her that she originally performed, A Song for A & Above the Water & 1 that was a demo she did called I'm Still Holding Out For You, that was leaked but not released. The "original" was recorded by Baby Fuzz 2 years after her demo, but I don't think she can claim that as her "original."
I beg to differ in regard to her Demo. How it was released is not an issue. When it was released is. An ‘original’ song is the first released recording of a song. Regardless of who wrote the song and it may or may not have been sung as intended, in fact that is quite irrelevant. This is considered her original. Had it not been released/published, we would not be having this conversation. 🌺
@@johnroache32 The Demo was never released, it was stolen. I guess you can consider it as her original, but I doubt the "music industry" would agree with you, as I don't. Do you think Angelina considers it her original?
Hey Keith thank you for your comment. I had gone online a while ago and found music industry comments as this: “…both "original vocal" and "original vocals" can refer to the singing of the original singer for a song?” (i’m not referring to the writing of the lyrics of course). I think most of us realize that this was an “unauthorized”release. Angelina in the family, long ago, have stated that they would never sing this song again. Well wishes to you, Keith 🌺

Extraordinary reaction. I love your respectful reactions, specifically to Angelina. I would like you to react to her performances of At last, and I'll be there, both at 8 y. o. as well as to I'd rather go blind at 12, and at 10 years of age: I am faded, singing to sleep, I will survive, Above the water, Automn leaves, etc.... Al of them superb, as most of her covers.
Welcome to the AJ Rabbithole. You will find an artist with a diversity as no one else. Even if jazz is one of her favorites to sing, you can find her in other genres. Try "I'm still holding out for you" when she was 10 years old. Almost an origin from another artis named Baby Fuzz. You can also try when she singing an old poem from the late 1700, composed speciell for her by the classical composer Nico Cartosio. Also modern music genre "Above the water". You will be entertained. 😀
You just get no hint of that in 'Beast Mode' Angelina in 'I Put a Spell on You'
Johnvasi A totally great comment and so accurate
I absolutely agree❤️

Very awesome. Looking forward to hearing more!
@@toolman1one86 You are not off track. In fact you're rolling the rails straight and on point.
The storytelling from Angelina is so good. The way she sings certain words are insane ❤ Check out her cover of Feeling Good at age 10, and her originals Million Miles, tearjerker, and 7th Heaven a song of hope 👍 Brilliant upbeat song ❤
And Jazzy!
Now that you mention it, I can see the influence!
Age 10 was really a peak year for her, imho
Yes one of my favorite's!!!!
Cheers!! -Matt

Well said @senilsen68. 👍😉
Gotta agree with all the comments suggesting Seventh Heaven. Easily my new favorite of her originals. Great lyrics.
Thanks for the reaction. See you next time. :)
I love 7th Heaven, I listen to it on Spotify all the time.
Great to hear your views on this. Love Angelina and fascinated to see what she comes out with next; she's full of surprises. Love the end of your reaction video by the way!
Thank you ☺️
"Her voice is like liquid gold!" I feel blessed to be alive for this young ladies unleashing to the world!
I totally agree with you, singer (sorry I don't know your name), the best thing is her and a microphone, better seated in front of a piano, the rest is superfluous.
Lily, haha. But agreed!

Same. I had no idea what MJ was originally singing lol.
Angelina is the best talent I ever seen. My mom was a famous singer in the Big Band Era, and sang for all the top bands in the country. She would have loved Angelina, as her skills are beyond description. Great reaction, and check out her originals

I hope they don’t wait months in between to listen to her. I am going to subscribe and see what happens. 🌸
The microphone with the chord is classic
Awesome reaction, thanks so much for sharing! 💖 I wish you had shown Lily a quick clip from 'I put a spell on you' so she had an idea of what kind of a child singer Angelina was 😊 Anyways, hope to see more from you two soon, its always interesting to hear two peoples opinion together. 7th Heaven is a good example of what her original work souds like. There is a music video that is 'perfectly' produced, and sounds more like pop. And there is a 'live in studio' version with real instruments, that sounds more jazzy. Im guessing Lily would prefer the last one ✌
Thank you, Preben!! Sounds like a good place to go next!
Good description of the two versions. They’re both good, but I prefer the better audio and sparseness of the live studio version of “7th Heaven”.
The music video sounds like it's the "official audio" (released without a video).
@@peterhormell1511 better audio? The back up singer's track is too loud when she's singing over Angelina (" let go of sadness...")
great reaction to the next superstar
So true
1) Appreciate the honest, no BS opinion/assessment.
2) The question arises: "Where's Lily been"? Having said that, I'm constantly asking myself, "Where have I been?" (There's _lots_ of great talent roaming around out there, and there are just so many hours in a day.)
3) Cutest thing Angelina said, as a younger child, when responding to Rosie O'Donnell on her show: "I won the 'Norway's Got Talent'" with her thick accent (at the time).
Always remember this:
"When I sing I go to another world. The world is endless. It's like, full of happiness. I love it. It's amazing. And when I am on stage, I don't want to go [leave the stage]. [laughing]. I just want to be on stage"

Angelina Jordan, All I Ask.

7th heaven is a song she wrote and composed ! Studio version! Go Angelina Jordan!!!
If you want to hear one of her original songs, in a Jazz night club, as you described, here she is. Written at age 14 her arrangement (she arranges all of her songs even when she was 7 years old on Norway’s Got Talent, which she won). th-cam.com/video/9rLiWvwzbCA/w-d-xo.html
Here she is at age 12 (the title is wrong) singing I’d Rather Go Blind, th-cam.com/video/pK8mMXQb3_I/w-d-xo.html
And since you love 40’s music, there is no better composer than Cole Porter! So here’s 9 year old Angelina singing, Every Time We Say Goodbye th-cam.com/video/KRSI8HmTHJA/w-d-xo.html
And finally the first time the world got to hear her, at age 7 singing Billie Holidays Gloomy Sunday. This is a fan created duet with Angelina and Billie Holiday, she of course sang it alone on the competition th-cam.com/video/H_5_AT_N-pg/w-d-xo.html
Thank you again. For original songs you may want to listen to, here are the following.
7th heaven.. music video age 15
A million miles, studio version age 15
Shield, age 12, indoor concert
What is life?, Live version age 11, her very first original
Amazing reaction.
Check her original song “7th heaven”, the video version.
Breathtaking!!!😍😍😍😍
OMG, whatever in the world are you talking about? Yes... definitely “go home”. 🙄😢
@@peterhormell1511 Watch the video and you will learn what I'm talking about. Until then you're not entitled to an opinion. I'll go home and you shut up.
She's done like 4 or 5 in a row now on a stage with just a piano or small combo. So this was her trying something new.
Yes! “This is a man’s world” 🌺

7th heaven and million mile are two of her new songs I know she wrote at least million mile herself so check them out here or privately. 🙂
You need to watch A Million Miles live studio version it's just what you wanted to watch. She wrote it for her grandfather
Her original song 7th Heaven done in club setting earlier this year is what you asked for. Thanks for your review.
Definately " 7th heaven " original written by Angelina in a jazz/pop style in a jazz bar setting.
Voice development is pretty obvious and dramatic with her. Its also a completely different song and arrangement however, which shouldn't be underestimated when we're talking about her. You'll see over time she's quite versatile, showing in almost each new song a pleaseant new facette.
You should definitely listen to her studio version of her original song, million miles.
Gorgeous performance by Diana

Can’t Help Falling in Love (Elvis Presley / DARK VERSION cover)
Please react to Diana Ankudinova !

The best it's ever been done!
Please listen to her originals. 7’th heaven and Million Miles.
Appreciate the sub, Frank!! We're looking forward to doing more songs from Angelina!
She's signed to a label now, check out her original "Seventh Heaven" it's fantastic.
Hi you 2. Thank you for your honest & nice reaction to Angie. Here's some Angie original song links below. Remember this, Angie never sings a song the same way twice, so you could say they’ll all be 1st time reactions.
“7th Heaven” (Official Studio Performance) th-cam.com/video/bM8DzMRbiIc/w-d-xo.html Live, just released on 4-8-21 Angie’s 15 here. Angie wrote it & Stargate produced it.
Angelina Jordan “7th Heaven” (Official Video) th-cam.com/video/9rLiWvwzbCA/w-d-xo.html released 7-15-21
Angelina Jordan - Million Miles (Official Live in Studio) th-cam.com/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/w-d-xo.html She wrote it at 13 after her 2nd grandpa died Nov 2019 (during AGT-C filming for 2020 season) & she recorded it here at 14 and her video released on 12-16-20
Angelina Jordan - Million Miles (Official Music Video) th-cam.com/video/XA1_CUaM52I/w-d-xo.html She released this on 1-28-21 at 15, Angie did the sketch for the video on how she wanted it.
(You could react to her song “Shield” she wrote at 11 & sang at 12 & 13. th-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/w-d-xo.html she's 12 live for TV2 & 13 in the next one th-cam.com/video/IUAvEoPxNvw/w-d-xo.html & She’s 13 also in this live outside Jazz concert. th-cam.com/video/gyvXmHYCUYA/w-d-xo.html
“Oslo” Angie wrote it around 10 on her way back from LA. Angie's 12 here outside concert th-cam.com/video/R2HkKh_Cp8I/w-d-xo.html
“What is life” By Angie th-cam.com/video/Bv0r77KN7RA/w-d-xo.html Angie wrote it at 11 & is 12 here singing it Dylan Meek on Piano & Ivan Mendez on Guitar.
(The 2 songs that wee written for Angie. There opposite from each other)
“Song For A” (by Nico Cartosio) th-cam.com/video/Bo3mhxPM-uA/w-d-xo.html she’s was 12 when recorded & it was written for her by Nico Cartosio for his “Melting” album.
“Above the Water” by TRXD written for Angelina Jordan was 12 almost 13 when it was recorded. th-cam.com/video/y6SilwnR2Zc/w-d-xo.html it’s an EDM
“I’m still holding out for you” by Baby Fuzz th-cam.com/video/Dv8mjCh5iiE/w-d-xo.html she’s 10 almost 11 (it was used as a demo. Her mom didn't like a line in it, so it was never released as a single) This song is by Brandon Lowry better known as Sterling Fox & aka Baby Fuzz & co-writers Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen.
(A lot of people think this is one of Angie's greatest piece's of work along with Bohemian Rapsody, by Queen. Even Queen was so blown away with it that they posted it & gave her the rights to it. th-cam.com/video/7gQljxeaNuM/w-d-xo.html )
Baby fuzz did this during a music workshop back in 2016 in Norway. (No one was interested at the time) then Angie did the demo for it in 2016 & it was leaked 2 years later around Nov 2018. He wont change the lyrics to the song or let others do so. He released it as an original in Dec 2018. When so many listen to this & Baby Fuzz's version ( here’s the link) th-cam.com/video/q5HsABS4OXQ/w-d-xo.html they still all think this should be her's for it sound much better & convey's the story better.
Hello. I suggest the originals Shield, Million Miles, what is life, Oslo, 7th heaven. Most Lyrics, Music and arrangements by Angelina. Shield in the age of 10
Shield at the age of 12 🥰
Lily and Matt outstanding reaction to Angelina's "Billie Jean" cover.
Here is the rehearsal LINK > > > 🌺m.th-cam.com/video/KZ2KR1YMyOE/w-d-xo.html
And here are from the actual concert th-cam.com/video/GLdNc29qd70/w-d-xo.html
However, AJA and her (family) crew of artists do know sound and she always sounds divine (something to do with that world heritage protected, instrument of hers....)
Being creative and making her own videos, shows all the qualities we now expect from AJA, after all, she has been making them along with her family for quite some time now.
@@MattFarkas
Yeah, I usually listen to AJA in the car or when I'm moving around with headphones.
Her original music is easily available online and it's amazing
We're excited to hear it!
Aj's musicality makes her the MOZART OF THE VOICE.
If you love the 50s / 60s then you will see her 4 appearances in Norway Gut Talent she was 7 years old and Sing Billy Holiday and Nancy Sinatra...
Actually a total of eight originals! 🌺
Angelina has recorded 5 originals so far:
Oslo (11) th-cam.com/video/uxF-KiiSVoA/w-d-xo.html
What is Life? (12) th-cam.com/video/Bv0r77KN7RA/w-d-xo.html
Shield (12) th-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/w-d-xo.html
Million Miles (14) th-cam.com/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/w-d-xo.html
7th Heaven (15) th-cam.com/video/9rLiWvwzbCA/w-d-xo.html
Also, it is important to point that she does all her own arrangements on her covers (over 140) since she started singing (publically since age 7) and currently works with the Stargate production team on her originals. She is currently signed with Republic Records - Her first U.S. Album and concert tour is pending - delayed due to COVID. She will be 16 years old on January 10, 2022.
She is now 15 and 6 ft tall and her voice is maturing so good
Love it
She's been the new Queen Of Jazz for some time now, taking the baton from Amy Winehouse,
who she adored.
she always does in- studio totally plain with a piano .. sometimes a cello or base always .. so that's her norm.
Seventh Heaven Written by her and on stage.
Good reaction and God Bless!
Thanks Mark!!
I love Angelina I agree with Lily just her black and white singing !👌
She have some original stuff, and it is amazing:)
What I know is that they didn't spend any money on the video because it was made without any production, it's her family behind, nobody else.
Nothing wrong with that! It's functional and the star of the show will always be her vocals.
@@MattFarkas Yes, they're are.
She is magic ✨ ❤️
original songs of Angelinas just to name a few, Shield (12yo), Million Miles (live in studio) (14 yo), 7th Heaven, (14yo) you will not be disappointed with these 3 songs. some of her covers to check out are , Diamonds Are Forever, (11 yo) (live outdoor concert), I Have Nothing (13yo)( 1 take live), Easy On Me (15yo), and My Funny Valentine (16yo). all of these are amazing !!!! there are so many more to choose from over the years. she did a demo for a song when she was 10, called "I'm Still Holding Out For You". this song was never meant to be released to the public because of the content of the song, Suicide.
Nicely done you two,, an I agree that all Angelina needs is just a mic an a stage and let her vocal cords do the rest,, maybe a instrument or two but I don't think she even needs that,, we all know that her vocals is beautiful acapella,,
👣🌬🌎
Angelina original
Shield
Million Miles
You should try (Seventh Heaven) Original song written and sung by Angelina Jordan.
Angelina is a young woman who can sing any style and do it flawlessly. She has 140 or 150 covers, she has around I think six original song so far at 15 years old (Million Miles) is a song written for her recently deceased grandfather.
(Shield) is another one. Another original song is
(Head Above The Water) And she actually does quite a bit of jazz, you should hear her rendition of Billy Holidays (I’m A Fool To Want You) The studio version when she’s about 13 years old with her grandmother in the studio with her is the best version of this song, she has sung this song at different times in her life, but this studio version is the best, it is put out by {Rusty Shackleford.}
She also sings Adele songs, Rihanna songs, and you should hear her rendition of the song (Born To Die) by Lana del Rey.
At seven years old she sang George Gershwin song (Summertime) on Norway’s Got talent)
👏👏💯 *AJ* 💯👏👏
Listen to:
-I’m still holding out for you
and then her original songs:
- 7th Heaven
- Million Miles
- Shield
For those unaware, She has a total of 8 original vocals to her credit. 🌺
For her original stuff, own compositions - try "Shield" age 12; "Million Miles" age 14 and "Seventh Heaven " at age 15. All brilliant.

She is amazing
Well if you don't like her at 9 years old you really need to see her at 10 years old and beyond you're really in for a treat!!!
Listen to her original song 7th Heaven
Definitely do her "7th Heaven" - the music video version is fun, jazzy, and in a nightclub setting that's perfect for her.
Team reactions are so much better than solo.
Shield , written by her and oslo , million miles , and what is life and lastly seventh heaven ,.she will be 16 in jan.2022
