Cathal for your own safety and everyone working with the fresh calved cows, don't turn your back to them or stand in between them or their calves. The blue pipe might not be enough to deter them if they had idea of protecting their calfs. Very risky in the big pens. Please stay safe!! The stock are well minded, well done to all involved in the livestock section!!!
Got to love having a couple of friendly cow's coz cow cuddles can make the shittist day's disappear, bit like a day on favorite tractor even if it been a mare of a day. 👍🏻🍻🚜🐄🇳🇿
We do that on our 100 foot bunks it’s definitely scary looking down we have 7 Steigers drive up and down the bunk to compact it and a hitachi excavator with a feed roto forks to rip the plastic down and to cut feed down for the loaders
500 acres grassland , and we buy in grain, but if we went fattening it would increase a lot of grain usage and we would have to think about rolling our own barley 👍
Nice video lads cattle are happy out
Lovely to c new calves wait till they get out to fresh grass
Always enjoy your videos 👌
Great video again Cathal.

I reckon the cows gave hardship when ye were moving them 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It was the handiest they ever went in I was raging I didn’t get to record it , would have made me look like a fine herdsman 🤣
I bought a plastic owl 🦉 to scare off the birds from my dog pen, I have to clean the crow shit off it once a week lol 😆
I think your right jim unfortunately 😅🤣
Great video Cathal, they might make a Livestock farmer out of you yet. You are starting to look the part. Ha Ha.
Oh I don’t know gerry 😅🤣
About how many acres- grass and other feed crops- are taken up with livestock...and would that increase by much if you started fattening?
