"Good morning, and welcome to the Black Mesa Transit System..." These words will stay with me for life. Lost count of the number of times I played through this game, especially in my younger years. There are no games games of today I could play through as many times as I did Half-Life. I'm not sure if that's because Half-Life was just so fucking amazing (it really blew my mind back in the day!) or if it's because we have so many games to choose from now, but wow. Half-Life, Blue Shift, and Opposing Force have left with me so many memories of the Black Mesa Research Facility that I will never forget
+Mark M mann.... "Good morning, and welcome to the Black Mesa Transit System...Keep your hands inside the train at all times" This is the most psychedelic line of all time....as a kid it messed me up so much....I am 26 now,....I smoke ganjaa and listen to HL intro video all day long
Imagine your inside the tram sitting down, waiting for the tram to reach to your destination, hearing the automated message, looking at your phone (or in this timeline, reading a book or newspaper), and (at 4:18) for no reason you decide to take a peek outside and noticed the Gman in front of you on the other tram cart and you just think of him as a regular visitor.
I went to Costco the other day and when I payed for my stuff at the Self-Checkout, this video came immediately to my memory! lol...it was freaky and cool at the same time!!!....especially 'her voice' saying 'please set this item aside and wait for further assistance'...but Half Life...man!!..best game ever!
its today still an amazing intro, i cant imagine how it must have been to experience thyis for the first time in 1998 compared to other fps' of the era which often threw you directly into the action
This intro just blowed my mind 14 years ago

One of my favorite voiceovers of all time. This woman's voice is beautiful, crisp, her enunciation is perfect.
ASMR OF MY CHILDHOOD
"Good morning and welcome to the Black Mesa Transit System" Those words are more ominous than they sound like.
Who's here after getting into the Plane Train at Atlanta Airport ? To think those airport is the closest you can feel the real life experience to this
Current topside temperature is 93 degrees with an estimated high of 105. The Black Mesa Compound is maintained at a pleasant 68 degrees at all times.
almost a very *nice* temperature
POV: Were on Lambda Complex And Pressed F7 but you realised what you did quick save on tram ride.
The best introduction to the plot in the videogame industry
