I think this Michigan team will get things figured out by the end of the season, but let’s talk about Iowa. They’ve taken quite the hit to their depth with Nunge and Bohannon suffering season-ending injuries as well as P McCaffery likely out for the season. Other players have had to step up and both Kriener and Evelyn have done just that - both are great utility players. Perhaps Iowa’s lack of depth may eventually be their downfall, but that really hasn’t been the case so far this season. They seem focused and confident, and that makes it so exciting to watch.
Usually Fran McCaffery likes to do huge line changes, and rotate 9 to 10 guys. This year he doesn't have that luxury and I have to say sometimes I think it actually hurts Iowa. The players don't get into the flow of the game. So far it hasn't hurt the team too bad rotating 7-8 guys only. I do think not having Bohannon especially will hurt the team in a couple of games, but Nunge I don't think is a big loss. He really isn't very good. Garza has really taken the biggest leap this year and carried the team.

This Iowa team is going to be special if they beat the Zags and I do not mean maybe. This team is very good in all aspects. NO WEAKNESS IN ANY AREA OF PLAY. SCORE, REBOUND, BLOCK, FT. Mich complains about foul discrepancy. I refed for 27 years. No official calls a foul based on uniform color. They call them that are committed. Mich had same complaint vs Minnesota. Maybe, just maybe Mich should play better D.
