Great video and fantastic silkscreen stencil. A great inexpensive alternative to purchasing the sweetest tiers stencil holder. However, you might want to do what sweetest tiers does. She traces the cookie cutter used for a template for consistent cookie placement. You could do that and tape it to the clipboard. You would then place your cookie on the traced outline. It saves time with proper placement of the cookie.
This is the exact reason why the Sweetest Tiers holder doesn't work for me and why I'm doing this method. I own the Sweetest Tiers holder. My cookies spread when I bake so they are not a consistent size so unfortunately tracing the cutter and using a template doesn't work for me. So I was so happy to find this technique because it works so good for my cookies, and I get the stencil placed perfect everytime.
@@SweetSugarLaine P.S. Have you ever considered using a different recipe? If so, I would recommend Arty McGoo's recipe. It doesn't spread and it tastes good! Everyone I make them for loves them. I actually love the Betty Crocker Classic sugar cookie recipe that uses powdered sugar instead of granular sugar because I love a crispy sugar cookie but they tend to spread and everyone I make sugar cookies for prefer the softer Arty McGoo style of sugar cookie. Go figure.
@@sherriepierce925 it is my grandmother's recipe and it is quite yummy! I have tried other recipes and do enjoy them but like that I have my own unique recipe. As well now I've adapted my recipe into about 5 flavors😉
@@sherriepierce925 yes, mine are soft as well....I 100% know that it is the ingredients that go into it but am not willing to change. And nobody complains when they get my cookies and they are not all identical....I think the decorating makes up for it 😊
Any chance you’d be willing to share your recipe for for the black royal icing? I can’t seem to get it to look like yours. Any tips tricks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much
Was the black part of the logo also done with the silk screen? I’d love to see the whole process not just the red part. And have you tried airbrushing?
yes, it was all stenciled....You can go watch my latest video and it shows how to do a 3 part silk stencil. Yes, I have used an airbrush but it is not my preferred method. You have to spray quite a bit to get crisply thru the stencil. If you go to my instagram...the reel I just posted today shows how I used silk stencils and airbrushed patterns on top of macarons.
Silk screen stencils can be more detailed. And with the plastic stencils you have to use "bridges" in the pieces so keep all the letters in the plastic. With silk screens you don't need the bridging. If that makes sense😬
Have you done layering color designs? I mean one color on top of other color, if so do you have a tutorial for that? TIA Your videos are so helpful to me! Thank you very much for sharing! 🙏🏻
You have the bag clipped to the right side of the board. Put your cookie down on the board flip the bag over onto your cookie, then flip the stencil down on top of the bag. Move your cookie around to get the stencil lined up. Then get your icing and stencil and stencil the design onto the bag. Then lift up the stencil and flip the bag out of the way (careful it will be wet for a few minutes). Then flip down your stencil and stencil the cookie.
Put non slip shelf liner under your clipboard to keep it from slipping around. Great idea very fast and efficient! Thanks for sharing

You filmed this on my Birthday...

This must be a "SIGN".... (smile)
Awesome idea, clear instructions. Thanks for no music to spoil instructions.
EXACTLY... NO MUSIC... love that... we can hear her.
I love your 'Cheater Version" I agree... This is better.

Yes please, great video 😊
Awesome video! Thank you!!!
Do you make your own silkscreen?
Thanks!!
Total “Game Changer!” 🤯Now I just need to invest in a Cameo. 😁
Please I really like your video. Can you tell me if you use a cricut to make the stencil? Or how did you did.
Do these companies just send you a pdf file of their logos? That seems very trustworthy of them.

I’m still learning about all the stencils, What is the difference between silkscreen stencils and the other kind?

How did you get the logo on the stencil to then put it on the cookie bag? Basically, how did you make the logo stencil?
I have another video that shows that whole process😉
@@SweetSugarLaine sorry I couldn't find the video.

Is the stencil/vinyl on the top or bottom of the silkscreen? Thank you in advance!
I put my vinyl on the bottom....if you go look thru my videos I did a video on how to make the silk screen stencils😉
@@SweetSugarLaine awesome thank you very much

So I was wondering the same just let it dry as if it was cookie and then go from there? What a genius idea 💡
110 or 120 mesh?
I use 110
DID you cut the silk screen with scissors?
