Nice Video, well explained. Still, I refrain from using urea to expel excess nitrogen. There are much better, cleaner and easier ways. Also, urea can form explosive compounds. I don't really understand why urea is still being referred to. Other than that, that was an interesting one. I have had no experience with vitamin C so far, and need to understand the reaction. Any explanation from your side? Is the precipitation gold selective? Have you tried this method with PdCl also?

if i look up the prices for 1 kg of vitamine c powder and it is always more expensive than 1 kg sodiummetabisulphite. Maybe if the metabisulphite is illegal in your country this helps.

No one use 2 to 1 mix of hcl to nitric anymore. Only use as much nitric as needed.
Can you please tell us how long is take to complete dissolving gold particles when royal solvent added?
This will depend on the other metals mixed in with gold. So time is not always as fast or slow as you expect. One thing to keep in mind. The smaller the gold to be dissolved the faster. A round button should be hit with a hammer and spread out thin to get more surface area for the acid to work faster.

Cionide is very dangerous!
Solutions containing cyanide should not interact with any acid! This interaction releases cyanide, resulting in poisoning. The solution must be alkaline with high pH.

bravo, the amount of nitric you have used, could desolve an ounce of gold....you should ask yourself if it isn't harder for most refiners to gather nitric than SMB lol

Coffee filter works. Or newspaper too. Use a waste bucket process for catching extra fines missed. Coffee filter will do fine for the bulk of the batch.
(By waste bucket process i mean, pour the used AR into a bigger bucket after you drop and filter. Then add chunks of copper to replace all precious metals in waste solution with copper. Then refine the precipitate for precious metals and move the solution to a bucket with iron in it. To replace all copper in the solution with iron. Then you can filter and get the dirty copper precipitate.)
