Construction in CA now need workers to boom! The US ought to speed up the processing of asylum seekers' work permits rather than having the process linger for years because those people can be put to work and not left to idle the streets and/or rely on government assistance to live. Issuing millions of work permits would consequently significantly increase the amount of money the US collects in taxes which would consequently do away with the need to cut well needed government funded programs (that many citizens rely on) and the government can pay their debts faster. CA would be needing a lot of constructions workers to rebuild and rebuild fast. Homes, businesses, schools, medical facilities, grocery stores, electrical poles, cellphone towers were wiped out. Entire neighborhoods gone. CA is a sanctuary state so the undocumented and asylum seekers would still have legal protections if they were to leave from another state. I can see male farm workers transitioning to construction work as it'll pay more. This may cause farming to have a labor shortage, so even more workers would be needed in that field otherwise they'll (i) be a food shortage crisis in the US or (ii) the cost of food would increase due to demand or (iii) they'll have to buy more food from other countries. I can't see mass deportation or tariffs on food imports happening. In fact, tariffs on imported food may be suspended to keep food costs as low as possible.
I feel like this is purposeful. No one can be this stupid in mismanaging and preparation for something that was guaranteed to happen.. and has happened repeatedly.
Wouldn't these celebrities and rich people have security cameras and RING cameras that they could use to watch their houses? Lawrence made it seem like he would be unable to check his security cameras to know the state of his California home...seems unlokely
