There so many talented ordinary Filipinos who have powerful voices. Sadly, only those who look like screen-worthy-looking people can actually showcase their talent on TV. I mean look at those who won grand prizes in Singing Shows in PH, only those who have good looks can further their career in showbiz even if they were placed 2nd.
Sad But True. Many ordinary pilipino singers that has a great potential, but if u dont have good physical appearance you will reject.

It is the singing culture that developed a lot of the good singers in the Philippines. Starting by emulating some of the greatest singers at an early age with the karaoke/videoke.
Actually Stell can sing the highest notes that Stephanie did in their trio part, but they needed a male voice there. If you want to be amazed, pls watch Stell Ajeron singing “All By Myself”. He ripped it there!

You reacted to SB19 Stell's Tiktok's solo and you mentioned that he sounds like a Disney prince. Those compilations were recorded before this and I was amazed that you even thought about it. I am sure you are not aware yet of this performance. Well, that's your answer. The first girl is Zephanie and she won a singing contest here. Janella Salvador was tapped by Disney 6 years ago to sing "How Far I'll Go" for Disney Phils edition. The video was pulled out of YT as it got over 40M views, much higher than the original singer. They should have asked her to sing the song in the Oscars as she really sang it better.
Filipinos usually dont do lypsinc but sometimes yes especially if they do both dancing and singing at the same time. But with Ppop they dances and sing live.
Steph really nailed it. The classic disney on modern era... just perfect.

There's no regular Vocal gym here, only first class singing classes, that's usually reserved for when you will join an international contest or for singing international careers, the rest is in the STREETS, Videokes are everywhere here and there's always a Birit king or Queen at every Videoke place that everyone respects.

Do you know why we Filipino's nkow how to sing!? that's because of the one and only "karaoke machine" that's how majority of the people here can sing! We hear or sing in the karaoke since we were a child, thats part of our culture and also we don't criticize if you want to sing in a karaoke even if your bad at it!! thats why we grow HAHAHA that's our secret "THE MUSIC MACHINE" also nkown as the karaoke machine 😅🥰

Filipinos start singing at the very young age without voice lessons, just by listening Western and Latin musics, and singing in Karaoke at home or at parties. People in musical theatres or classical singers are the ones taking voice lessons, but Pop, Ballad, Rock, Rap just practice singing on their own, kind of inane talent..
1st singer is Zephanie Dimaranan. She competed in The Voice Kids Philippines 🇵🇭. She lost to Elha Nympha. Yet, they became friends ❤ ❤ Zephanie Dimaranan competed in Idol Philippines 🇵🇭.
