In a nutshell, if you want a modern, comfortable truck built for the family in mind, the Wildtrak is your best bet. But if you want a solid, capable off-roader and can live without the power rolling shutter and extra safety features, go for the FX4MAX!

Fx4 max has leaf springs. Raptor doesnt. Its just a quick peek down below to see if its on leafs or coils.

I chose the FX4MAX, partly because I had placed a reserve on a Raptor, till I found I couldn't justify the extra half a million pesos for what? The FX4MAX can carry a much bigger payload via the rear leaf spring set up. And for the off roading I've done so far, this truck is awesome. GOBS of power on demand, very smooth on the highway and comfortable with a sporty feeling. Also, the inventories last December were very slim. I'm very happy with my truck!
To be honest, there really is no wrong answer when it comes to Ford's top end Rangers, it's a lifestyle choice and we're glad you're enjoying your truck!

Hi Roy, nice review! If you don't mind my asking, which has the better ride quality between the Wildtrak and the Navara? Which would you choose as a daily driver?
Hi, Louie! Great question. In my opinion the Wildtrak is a much better daily drive. The FX4Max has stiffer suspension that, while still acceptable, seems to be a bit more tuned for offroading enthusiasts. Logic would dictate that shocks beat leaf springs but during my tests, the Wildtrak felt much better.
The automatic rolling shutter and extra safety features add more value to your daily drive as well :-)
@@ZigWheelsPhilippines thank you for that! I get the difference between the Wildtrak and the FX4Max, and I agree with your assessment in the video. I was wondering what your opinion would be though between the Nissan Navara (either the VL or Pro4-X) vs the Wildtrak in terms of ride quality and as a daily driver.
The Wildtrak has that "soft" cocooned La-Z-Boy feel while driving that most Ford trucks and SUVs are known for-it's a combo of the interior, suspension, and mapping of the engine and 10-speed AT.
On the other hand, the Navara feels livelier and "raw" in a good way. It would be the truck for someone who likes feeling the road when they drive.
They do both have the usual pickup bounce and the non-rear leaf spring equipped Nissans definitely enjoy an advantage when it comes to that-our non-picky passengers noticed the difference!

bought the wildtrak...fx4max is just a glorified XLT nothing to be excited about..
Maybe u didn't catch the fact that the FX4MAX, Wildtrak, and Raptor, are the only Rangers with the 2.0 BiTurbo/10speed. My FX4MAX also has loads of offroad features the lower models don't. Not to mention the high output alternator and the 6 extra prewired circuits.
fx4 max pa rin ang pinaka dabest sa lahat ng ranger kht nagsilabasan na ang nextgen ranger ngayon.. with a 213 horsepower..d maipagkakaila na c Fx4max ang may ari ng kalsada..sibak ang nakatatandang kapatid nya na c raptor with 213 HP rin..pero mas magaan kaha ni Fx4max..c wildtrak d rin uubra ky FX4max.. lalo na yung mga kompentensya ni ranger tulad ni isuzu Dmax, nissan Pro 4x, strada Athlete, hilux Conquest..pagpapraktisan lang ni Fx4max yan sa daan..d lang alikabok ang kakainin nla kundi pati utot ng driver sa Fx4max malalanghap nla..😅
