thank you from tokyo 🇯🇵
Thanks so much for the Jan Garber; without doubt, one of the greatest dance bands ever.
Thanks, enjoy yourself. and be happy. I will post others.
Pure perfection.
Wonderful...just absolutely beautiful. And the STEREO certainly adds so much more. Thank you for sharing!
One thing unique about Jan Garbers is the tinkling piano that jibes with the tempo so nice to hear!
Maravillosa música. Bonitos recuerdos de mi juventud en los bailes y en mi vida actual.
really a great upload --thanks for sharing
great and perfect
I prefer Jan Garber’s band to Lombardo’s. I feel that the former was more musical, less corny, and focused on songs from the great American songbook, rather than Lombardo’s focus on Carmen’s silly songs. It is difficult to find recordings of the Garber band in decent fidelity. Thank you for posting this.
This is a great album by Jan Garber. I have it in my collection and play it often. But it doesn't hold a candle to the many medley albums Guy Lombardo released over his long career as America's most popular bandleader.
I think there is room for both ! And Sammy Kaye !
Beyond the above three with that " Lombardo sax choir" sound, we also have fine dancing/medley releases for LP from Anson Weeks, Russ Morgan, Freddy Martin, Griff Williams , Nat Brandwynne, and others. The more the merrier. As a long ago orchestral player, the Sweet bands , Society bands, et al are a nice break from a Wagner opera or the Nielsen Violin Concerto. There's a time and place for most everything.
