I like the relationship between father and son. That’s the stuff American was built on. 👍
This is the life of the farm. A lot of work, a little rest, but in the end, a lot of love from animals. Frankly, I feel tired, but when these cattle rub their heads on me and hang my hand with their tongues, I forget everything and appreciate the work I do. Congratulations. Do not despair of more success. In your life, bring some joy to your heart. Thank you
Love from the cows ?
Pretty sure there looking for meat not love !
@@mea3665 Yes, beef and the love of animals come together. We have an Algerian proverb that says: Little for my heart is much for my Lord
@@mea3665 What the F kind of cows do you have that eat meat ? Sounds like a dangerous breed to have around ....
Well, all right now baby it’s all right now….she said look, what’s your game baby. Maybe we can see things the same. Now don’t you wait or hesitate. Let’s move before they raise the parking rate. All right now…baby it’s all right now…
Did you guys get hit with a big snow this week 1-16 thru 1-19? Cole, I hope you and the Mrs. took precautions and eased back into winter when you got back from fun in the sun. It looked like a good ol time! Hope you all are well.
Thanks for sharing your winter chores and as always, thanks for working hard to feed people. Eat MORE BEEF!
Storla Station
only got an inch yesterday!
For some reason the song that keeps going through my head is the hit from Roger Miller, "Oh you can't roller skate in a buffalo herd, . . . you might run into a buffalo turd." Well today, it would be a frozen one. . . . no sense in having a heart attack over shovelling snow. Thank you for sharing your day with us. . . . it must be nice having "Breakfast at Tiffany's". 😊 Enjoy your holiday together.
You always wonder if the people you see in here are who they seem to be. I can attest to the Sonne's be exactly what you see. I drove through South Dakota a few days ago and sent Brian a message on social media. Not only did he take the time to reply, we had a nice conversation. Quality people right here! Keep up the great videos!
Sonne's do take time to reply and even answer questions. Rare nowadays
It never ceases to depress me that the Coastal Elites think that they are better human beings than the people they call those in "flyover country". The people in the middle of the country are the salt of the earth and make the country function in a livable manner. Cole and Brian get more done before lunch in a snow storm than people in San Francisco or New York City get done in a month. I am in awe of these people. They are the people to try to emulate not denigrate.
Hello Brian and Cole so much snow be careful outthere please stay warm outthere
Coles comment on wet socks took me back 50 years and to the other side of the continent. As a kid in Pennsylvania winter was awesome. But we always came in with wet feet. The snowsuits kept our fannies (as mom called them) warm and dry but we always got snow down our boots. So mom would save bread sacks during the year. And when we suited up we'd put on a pair of socks, a plastic bread sack, the a pair of church socks to hold the sacks in place. Wonder bread saved the day.
We did the same with plastic bags inside our boots when going out to play in the snow in NY state about 2 1/2 hours from Buffalo . Could play & dig caves with nice warm dry feet.
Bread sacks in your boots and soggy wool mittens on a string. Anybody?
10:16 Father & son working side by side, winter version. Love it! 😄
Just call me 73 year old Kabota lady. Love your videos everyone just got me a smart TV. This winter all I watch is your videos every evening I’m just about caught up to the new ones . I’m from West Virginia. Keep up all the good work. Love to watch it you and dad working together .
I think thaty ditch would have made me pucker too!! Glad your Pa pulled you out.
Cole, don't want to be 1 of "those people" but you can use the buctet to help get unstuck. Tip it up on blade and push or pull. You can also push the bucket down to lift the front tires. Articulate the front end to reposition the front tires. You will figure it out after a few hours in the seat.
I agree, use the bucket to push or pull yourself out of a jam. It may take a few minutes, but you should be successful.
Mark Kollman Gently teaching people is a good thing. I'm way old now and still don't mind it when people correct my spelling or anything else. As long as it isn't someone who just has to be "first liar doesn't have a chance" if you know what I mean ...
It works theo
All right now I heard it at a fair one summer. A double Ferris wheel was playing that song all night!
DANG!1 Them cows is a pain when the weather ain't nice!! Why can't they just hang out in the barn for a couple days till it warms up a bit?? LOL They are pretty well off. You guys take pretty darn good care of them. That was a lot of snow moving there. Noticed you have quite an array of snow moving equipment. Gotta have it. As usual, the big problem becomes where to put all the darn snow.. Thanks again for showing us how it's done. Hope you get sand in your shorts in Cancun!! LOL Maybe even a tan line. Blessings to all.
Hey there Cole and Brian, I hope this finds you all well and good!
"Slipped into a ditch" come on Cole, "drove into a ditch" is more like it, dontcha think? 😉
It's a "Wheel Loader" Cole, there are Track Loaders, and there are Wheel Loaders, no such thing as a Pay Loader.
That wet snow will give you some badly needed moisture, 1' of snow = 1" of rain (approximately) ❄️ 🌨
I hope y'all have a great honeymoon Cole! 👩❤️👨
"Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌 👍 🇺🇲
No, slipped in a ditch was correct. You get just a little off of centerline, the wheel drops in and the machine pulls to the side. Did the same with an airplane once on a taxiway. Had been on it a hundred times when dry but one time the edge was a bit hard to see and the wheel slipped in and the airplane twisted into the mud. Truck pulled me out. No harm, no foul. Just what hard working people do.
Pushing snow feeding the cows wow what a life. A life that Cole and Tiffany are just beginning. Stay safe on honeymoon.
But they have generations to follow .... How American once was ...
Brian to the rescue, you need some chains for that awesome loader.
Thx Cole,
Chains for sure. I saw the tires slide before he stopped.
Howdy ya'll,
I know your new at running a wheel loader, but if you use your boom to help push yourself out, you'll be able to get out of some difficult situations Cole, I run Farm equipment and heavy iron, and using my boom, has gotten myself out of some pretty sticky situations, Stay safe, and Farm on my Friends, Peace
Definitely a clench the cheeks moment!I'm impressed with that tractor being able to pull the loader out of there. There was a skilled operator in the cab though.
I hope the weather is all sunshine for your honeymoon, Tiffany and Cole. Thanks for the great video!
GOTTA KEEP AN EYE ON OLD MA NATURE...LOL...GOOD ONE, KEEP SAFE AND WARM..
Can't imagine working in these conditions, especially adding the placement of cameras to make the video more interesting. Always look forward to your videos. Stay warm.
Thank you very much!
I’m
remember to come back, we'll miss you
I am really happy to see you get more snow. Maybe a good omen for this year's crops. Enjoy your honeymoon in Cancun.
Tide Lovin' Yankee Yup ... California is getting much needed water too. Everyone was getting their panties in a bunch but I've been through a few droughts here so I'm not too worried about them. A few years of dry .... then torrential downpours. We do have to monitor the water tables though. Our fast influx of new people is overusing our resources and we won't admit the problem for political reasons.
When the song is stuck in your head, it's called a earworm. Thanks for passing the infection on.
Enjoy your honeymoon and thanks for taking us along on your journey
Going from one extreme to another. I’ve seen your IG updates from your honeymoon, I see your enjoying yourself and dealing with the cold with a cold one. Enjoy your time, the memories will last you a lifetime. You’ll be able to share with your kids about the fun in the sun. The color of the water.
Is there a place that gets the deepest. Is there a way to make a way to set a stronger metal pipe. The 8 inch diameter. The pipe is 60 inches high. Use the next size goes in the top. On the top of the gate. Cut a foot long piece. Make a thicker piece to help reinforce the smaller piece. 6x18 flat one. Place this piece on the 8 inch. Leave a 1 inch gap between the gate and the post. From the bottom of the gate. Use a 4 inch pipe
Yay... Snowy Frames..... It's all white now ... Cole... you and Tif have a great Cancun honeymun !! Be safe out there eh !!
I love how Ellie always leads the way, even when she has no idea where you’re going. 😂
always lol
I think Ellie thinks Cole n Mr Brian follow her. 😅💙🐕
Few things in life I can think of that are more aggravating than having snow everywhere and when you go to move it what do you do with it. Pile it in piles and then more snow comes and now where you pile it. So I have come up with a great idea, put it in the manure spreader and take it out and spread it on the fields. Don't you just love these great ideas that people put in the comments. Happy snow piling.
Well that would put more moisture on the field, wouldn’t it?
I was just thinking of figuring a way to haul some of the snow out to those dugouts in the pasture so they'd be full of water for the cows come summer. Better than making feed lots all muddy come the melting time in spring & the return of Lake Sonne in the driveway.
That's a lot of snow. Hubby once worked as a snow plower. Plow slipped and front end went into a ditch. He gunned it and managed to get out. The town then boasted that they cleared the snow so well that they even plowed the ditches. Enjoy your vacation!
Great job plowing snow ❄️ Cole and Brian
Always enjoyed clearing snow outta the yard and around house. Cole looks like you need a new shed at your house to park tractor inside and plugged in
Y’all can keep the snow and cold weather. I Love in South Texas. 80 degrees today. Very very nice!!
Oh Brian l know it's hard to be more upbeat with all that snow, but a little more enthusiasm with the singing of the 🎵 yet another great song choice.
lol you bet
Damn, that Tractor/loader can easily move a ton of snow. The ditches can get in the way! 😆
Thank you Sonne farms!!
yikes still winter!... I seen them tires on other video's and they all like it for pushing/ moving snow!
Ellie out there just living her best life. My 2 pitbulls and 2 Chihuahuas shiver their timbers when Texas drops in the 40s lol
Well Cole, if it helps you that we have had 80 degrees days in January here in Texas- if that helped you get "moisture" up there, it was worth the warm birthday for me! Happy honeymoon! Texas Deb ❤️
Yeah .... I was there Thanksgiving and it was cold and rainy ...
Great song of the day. Now it’s stuck in my head too.
Cole, you might want to ask Chet Larson where he got his snow pusher for his JD tractor maybe they have some for your pay loader
Hope y'all have a great honeymoon! No snow in Cancun!
You guys should look into one of those snow blowers that mounts on the back of the tractor
Cole ,you and Tiffany have a GREAT HONEYMOON !!!! WATCH YOUR SURROUNDINGS!!!
Yes, I monitor Mexico online. I love the country and it's people, but right now the Yucatan Peninsula is not a safe place.
Never did like snow in the boots. I typically put my pants in my socks and boots to try to keep as much snow out as possible. I've never had a snake in my boot, but I did have a chipmunk make a nest and have her babies in a boot. That was an interesting experience since I hadn't shaken it out before I put my foot in.........
AWwww did you put the boots on "vacation" for a few weeks until the family decided to move somewhere else ?
Glad you got the white powder and we dont, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Enjoy the sunshine both of you.
Chains make a word of difference on them wheel loaders. Gotta get some for our 938. County's got some on theirs and it's unstoppable.
You guys are a good team... and it takes two experienced farmers with collective knowledge to do the job well. Hope you guys are having a great time in Cancun!
Q Quick Hopefully they won't make the standard huge mistake. Hang out on the beach on the first day. Suffer the rest of the vacation with severe sun burns. With skin not well used to sun, an hour at that latitude will be a severe sunburn. I remember the time I was in the Philippines. I thought I was being cautious only staying in the sun for 1 1/2 hours. Severe sunburn. Had to work for another week that way.
Ellie is extra excited. She so cute
Great video Cole and Brian
Bet you can't wait to get back! Glad you're having fun in the sun.
Moist
Cole, in just 1 video, you managed to get the payloader stuck, you smashed the animal trap and you tore the gate off the hinges. At that rate it's gonna be a long winter!! lol
Glad to see BRIAN back.
You need to have a contest on the date when the last snow melts from the pile.
Went down to Cancun & Cozumel in Dec. Flying out of NC we were having one of the worst ice storms we had seen in a long time. I was so glad to see the warm! Love the song of the day. Same age as your Dad so I grew up with all the songs he names. Brings back good memories.
Thanks Brian.
Alright now is one of my favorite high school songs.
I haven't listened to it in a long time.
Thankfully I'm on TH-cam but I'll wait till the episode of lofe above the Artic circle is over.
Our snow only comes on a cone with raspberry syrup on top.
A few days ago it got down to a bone chilling 40 dregees so when I went shopping for milk and stuff Ihad to wear 4 layers including insulated long johns under my jeans.
Have a nice Mexican honeymoon Cole.
My wife and I were living in the upper Florida Keys when we got married so we really didn't even need to go anywhere, we just went boating for 3 days.
We did go down to Key West overnight tho.
I know your favorite time of the day is lunch, I watch your video instead of the evening national news. Much better for my blood pressure 😄 Cancun sounds wonderful
Great video 👍😉👍
Great video. Loved the song of the day. One of my favorites back in my skating rink days. :)
With us here in Ireland we are so close geographically located near the Artic Circle. In the winter months we have what is called the "5 Seasons of Winter. That is Rain, Hail, Snow, Wind, and Sleet". When you mix in the winter seasons, with at times 50mph of sustained wind, it makes for a BEAUTIFUL day in the neighbourhood, as Mr. Fred Rodgers would say. Those type days I love.I always farm in shorts.
Very pricey but chains on that loader would make a world of difference!
Cole, I love getting to watch you and your dad work on doing what needs to be done! I was wondering how much snow you actually got, glad it was a manageable amount so far. Brian, that song of the day gets stuck in my head sometimes too, and you just did it to me. I can always find a different song that will do the same thing though. Wishing you guys nothing but the best!
Really happy for the snow.. it may be a pain, but will hopefully give you some sub soil moisture!
Yes sir that's a lot of snow, not easy to move. The cattle sure do go through a lot more hay in those conditions, heavy snow and lower temps increases my feed by a good 5 to 10%. Man that Payloader is a real nice addition, but you do have to stay out of the ditches, hee hee! Nice video, enjoyed it a lot, I hope you and your wife have an outstanding vacation. See you later, have a good week!
awsome video cole love how ellie always leads the way even if she doesnt know where you are going thumbs up and shared
that snow is excellent for you guys ( MOISTURE ) MAYBE 2023 IS THE YEAR OF NO DROUGHT and lots of hay , corn and soybeans
You need to pick up a little single stage snow blower (Honda or Toro) to clean in front of doors, around vehicles & possibly down feeding troughs. Light enough to pick pick up & move around in buckets of tractor & payloaderr
I delivered a load in western MN thought about you guys they sent me to get a trailer had been abandoned got stuck on the ice in my semi couldn't go forward or backwards lol had to hire a tracked bobcat to dig out the trailer 😀
When I go to your channel, "Today I Started Loving You Again" - sung by Nico Booijse pops up on the right side of my screen. I'm not subscribed to Booijse's channel, but there he is again. 2.25K subscribers with 1M views. Nice rendition of Merle Haggard's song.
Good video Cole and Brian Cole you need fab together a bucket you can attach to side of your pay loader bucket to scoop the feed bunker . I dont kno maybe it a brain fart 🤣 yal stay safe
That cranked snow shovel is a super idea!
look into making hook on ears for the loader bucket. We call them baskets, they just hook onto the loader and can be the same width or larger than the bucket. Saves tons of time snow clearing.
The only bad thing about a paradise vacation is the come down …. Like a cruise getting back to the grind
When you get stuck, tilt the bucket all the way forward, drop it to the ground, then tilt it back as you are trying to back up. It's like having a couple extra drive wheels.
It's really difficult to make videos in challenging weather, you are really hard working, best wishes & keep going 👍
Brian, now that song is stuck in my head, thanks buddy! LOL We haven't gotten any snow or rain here near Ft. Worth, TX but lots of cold wind. It might be another drought here for us. Hope this year is better for ya'll. BTW, have you considered getting some snow overalls for when you have to go out in it? That way you won't be so cold. Just a thought.
Just keep telling yourself " No hurricanes, No earthquakes, No hurricanes, No earthquakes No hurricanes, No earthquakes", Makes it all worth while!
i’d recommend getting a kage snow box pusher. they are a two in one, a snow plow blade and a box pusher that connects… they plow really nicely
Hi! I'm Attila from Europe! My favorite is your dad!go packers
Every farmer or rancher I've ever known is the same...either too much rain/snow or not enough or at the wrong time of year...So Cole you'll make a excellent one ...
Nice work guys. Thanks for sharing
Hi cole and Brian.
Nice buy on that pay loader. Coming in very handy.
Ed from Chicago 🙂
Thanks 👍
wow, my first members-only vid. Long time watcher - i had no idea this was a thing lol
Saw some of the pictures... looks like you made it to cancun ok... hope you guys are having a blast
Man you guys are getting beat up with snow this year! That payloader is so nice though..
Heart attack snow😂😂. Mexico good deal. Thanks SONNES!
awesome video. thank you Cole and Mr. B
thankyou
Have a good trip.
Thanks for sharing your vid with us
Right before I came in to watch this video, I was outside for several hours plowing snow in a rented skid steer. I had a blast. I do prefer buckets to plows because I can be more precise with my snow placement. But I am working in tighter confines than they are. Payloaders are also fun to use for snow removal. Used one after the last storm
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🌞 Farms!!!
You rock!
Hope you to enjoy the beach 🏖 ❤
"at least it wasn't a snake" --- pretty funny!
Cole I built a snow pusher out of old fuel tank. Have fun guys. Thanks
Great video!! That is a very nice loader. Hope you are not a heat casualty in Cancun.
Pile the snow in the pens and haul it out with the Artsway pooslinger. It’s surprisingly efficient.
You got some snow ! Hopefully we get rain and no snow !
If your getting wet socks you need new boots !
Still can't believe Cancun was your honeymoon choice, so many better choices.
Enjoy your time in Cancun, and have a grand time celebrating your honeymoon
Great call on that loader Brian!!!!
