I didn't even know that Vernon's in the back most of the time during the performances because he already caught my attention in the start so he already made an impression. I thought it was enough as it was. The first time I saw the MV and the performance, I thought that they actually favored him because they gave him the first lines and everything but it turns out that it isn't so, they balance it out by putting him in the back afterwards. IMO, he doesn't need to be in the front much because he already naturally stands out in whatever part he is given. Once you see and hear him, you never really forget that he's there performing.
Guys, I see a lot of comments about Pledis not giving Vernon the spotlight in Mansae. Let's not forget something.... Hoshi made this choreography. NOT a PLEDIS choreographer, but HOSHI, a member of SEVENTEEN. Hoshi may have intentionally done this; to put Vernon at the beginning to grab people's attention. And if you consider every member's line distribution in the song, you would realize that some members (Jun, The8, Dino) have less lines, and thus less screentime, than Vernon. Don't get me wrong; Vernon is amazingly talented and I wish he did get more spotlight (in fact, I wish everyone did), but considering the size of the group, Hoshi (and Woozi) managed to coordinate a performance that I think is spectacular already. :)
He's literally at the back MOST of the performance and not like to the side, no, like he's ALL the way back behind everybody, you can barely see him bc he's mostly covered here by other members :/

Same with after school, when they got super popular they decided to "graduate" them starting with the most popular member and let them flop. I mean, Vernon being the most popular member in Seventeen makes it obvious he's the winning card to grow their success, a smart agency would center him to satisfy the audience and use him to gain more fans. I'm afraid they won't last either like their seniors, their agency is run by dumbasses.
