You get more bang for your buck in Palmdale, it’s also a quiet commuting city so not much activity going on with your neighbors. I left Valencia for Palmdale to dodge super expensive city bonds, HOA’s, etc. Just more for my money and a very nice neighborhood to go along with it

The mall in Palmdale (Antelope Valley Mall) is better than in Santa Clarita (Valencia Town Center) is better there is more shops and better verity. Also Palmdale is the ONLY city in Los Angeles county to have a Dillard's Department store. So who needs Nordstrom? lol

I'd live in a storage shed in Santa Clarita, before I'd live in a mansion in Palmdale/Lancaster. I retired in 2010 from Lancaster and left. It was a sh@t hole then and I'm guessing its worse now.

About the weather in Palmdale... there are microclimates depending on how close you are to the mountains. The closer you are, the more temperate. If you are close to the edge, it doesn't get as hot or cold. This year was very temperate. He makes it sound like it is freezing. I hardly saw a day over 95, and perhaps 2 days that got to around 30. Not as nice as L.A., but not too shabby. In fact,, in my 3 years here, I think it got as low as 28 once. Most winter is glorious with temperatures in the 50s to 65 on a nice day. Also,, cannot forget...There is the afternoon summer wind that is ever present. It gets pretty windy in the summer from about 4pm to 9 pm every day. It is a phenomenon.

This video has aged terribly, lol. Its June 2021 and houses in Palmdale are 450K and above. Right now, It's a seller's market.

There are reasons why Santa Clarita is more expensive. 1) Palmdale/Lancaster neighborhoods look like ghetto. 2) There is a good chance that workers will have to drive the very congested Fwy 14 south to get to work. 3) Palmdale has more weather extremes. The worst is all the summer wind, which would drive me indoors. Anyway, nice video. Thanks.

      14 Fwy= I'm a very congested freeway so don't live near me.
      5, 405, 101, 110, 90= You got to be kidding me.

Also, Palmdale is the ONLY city in Los Angeles county to have a Dillard's Department store! So, if Palmdale is "soo ghetto" why would there be a Dillard's here and not in Santa Clarita?

Santa clarita is better or somewhere in the San Fernando valley.

Imo, Santa Clarita is superior, but it depends on your criteria. The valley isn't as attractive to me.

@@Aburto94 the valley is ghetto come on bro look at San Fernando, Van nuys, pacoima sil mar alll ghetto and controled by the the big brothers in the pin. Your paying twice as much to live in the valley then Palmdale and you're living in a bad environment
