Top video Andy but gutted you didn't go for the fuchsia pack! 🤣 Just a quick note for those commenting on the price. We know our packs aren't cheap. They are handmade by our small team in the lake district using premium ultralight materials. We aren't creating a cheap product here. BUT if you need a quality ultralight pack for a long distance walk or thruhike - we are creating something that the big companies can't replicate. Thanks for checking our the video everyone.
Was bought a Mo50 for my 70th birthday. It took a couple of trips to convert myself from my Osprey Exos with its trampoline back and lid pockets but I now can't see me ever buying another bag. I just love it.
To get a pack that you can customise yourself is a really cool idea. I’ve just had a play around on the website myself. Not cheap, so people deffo need to make sure it’s a colour combo that they’ll still like in a few years time😜Great vid👍🏼
As someone who buys suits "off the rack", I always tailor them for a custom fit. I ordered a Mo40 last year in great colors. I've so far done 100 miles on the AT with it and it's a joy to use. If you order, choose the larger net pocket for the front, it holds a lot more than the other.
After careful consideration I bit the bullet & just ordered the 60Ltr which is now called The Prospector, Been using Osprey for years, hope it’s not a hard transition. I would have loved a fully customisable one but 12 weeks is too long for an impatient person like me, Customer service was fantastic and feels good supporting a small British business. Looking forward to receiving & testing the pack when it arrives, shouldn’t be long as the delivery info states within 2 weeks.
As I said in a more recent video, if you keep the weight down it’s a great pack 👍 You’ll be surprised how thick the materials are considering what it weighs.
Thrilled you finally found atom packs Andy 😊 We stumbled across them in Keswick a few years ago when there shop was in the high street. I was having issues with my Osprey at the time and my back was really playing up. I too am not a ultralight or thru-hiker but I made the decision to get a 50L Mo and have never looked back. Agree it’s an investment (I’m a vet nurse so on a budget) but by the time you’ve gone through 4 backpacks and still haven’t got the right one for you it made sense to buy once for life. Both Tom and Rachel were lovely people to talk too and now my partner has had one made for himself too. If you suffer from a dodgy back I’d recommend anyone consider this company 👍😊
I remember writing a comment saying it's so tricky to find "the" right one. Nice video. Will look into ordering one of these for when things start getting warmer.
As far as I’m aware they’re the only backpacking bag manufacturer that let you build exactly what you want. I’m sure those who buy these will keep them forever.
I received my custom Mo in June, used it on the SDW and a few camps in Wales, absolutely love it. It is pricey, but the quality is top notch, and it's individual to you, it can reflect your personality, highly recommend the company.
Just a tip, As they are not adjustable in back length, the most important thing is to get the right size by measuring your back length, they have a video guide on how to do this. If you find you are right on the cusp between one size and another I would recommend seeking their advice on which size to get. I was on cusp of two different sizes and went for the larger size which ive made work fine with all the strap adjustments but in hindsight it may have been better to get the smaller size. Even better go in and get measured. I love the bag, the pocket on the bottom is a game changer for easy access to a map or anything else you want to stuff in there. I went for the mesh type stuff pocket on the back to give loads of room for waterproofs and storing extra water if needed. Hip pockets are really accessible and easy to use and mesh pockets on shoulder straps great for all sorts of stuff. I don’t miss the ventilated back that you get on ospreys, I’ve never really found this helped me from getting a sweaty back. It’s a lot of money but well worth it, if you can afford it.
These bags look class.. be good if they had a stow on the go system for your trekking poles like the Ospreys. Only essential thing that’s missing for me with a rucksack. Yes I’m lazy and don’t like to keep taking my pack off. Lol. Genius marketing being able to custom your own colour scheme too. Great video Andy mate.

Lucky you! 😁 Thanks for sharing about the back, this is one of my concerns.

You don’t want to be making mistakes at those prices 😅

Nice one Andy. They look great but so pricey. I'd still love to have one though. Cheers
They’ve been on my wish-list for months. Still nice to have a play around on their website though!

Great video Andy mate.
I do love the thought of buying a bespoke item of backpacking gear. The closest I get right now is changing the guy lines on my tent! 😂
Nice piece of kit...... (wonder if I can sneak it onto my Christmas wishlist lol)
It’s on mine at the top! 😂
You not kidding about the price.......😮
Andy, I laugh every time I see your "pistol finger" thumbnails..
