One thing that the Ys series always gets right is the music. It's always very upbeat and gets the energy going during hectic battles. This trailer is a teaser of the amazing music this game will have to offer.
The graphics are great, everyone. The only reason it looks so pixelated is because it's up scaled from a 5' OLED screen to fit your computer screen. Think about it.
Adol's more badass than he's ever been before. You guys need to mellow out though. This hasn't even come out in Japan yet. Wait for them to get it before anything can be done to bring it here.
For all of those wondering, in Ys IV: Mask of the Sun, Adol decides to leave Esteria (After Ys II) to Celceta without telling anyone because he found a message in a bottle requesting a "hero to save Celceta". Dogi would reunite with Adol after IV for Felghana.
The good new is that xseed is most likely to localize this sonce they've localized the entire ys series. The bad news is that we don't know how long it will take them to localize this.

This kinda reminds of Ys Seven i may end up getting a Vita just for this game but im still waitnig for that Ragnorok game. The new character designs look pretty decent, But what confuses me is that which Ys IV is this based off? Dawn of Ys or Mask of the sun?
Localization does mean translation. You're localizing the game to a specific region which means translation and SOMETIMES editing of content, i.e certain themes that won't fly in some nations like skeleton enemies in China.
If it's a retelling of Ys IV, then it's before both games, actually. Adol went to Celceta before he went to Felghana. The Celceta events happen shortly after Ys I and II. Adol should be about 18. (He was 19 in Oath, and 23 in Ark.)

Almost all Ys games are action RPGs except for Ys Strategy and maybe a few others. Ys is the oldest surviving action RPG series, started back in 1987.
