I love how you've acknowledged how Ziya is personality-wise and go after that instead of kind of forcing her to be outgoing and stuff which some parents do. As a person that was a typical shy kid and has been told all my life to be outgoing and stuff, this really touched my heart since you really show Ziya that it's okay to be a more homebody person and that it's nothing wrong with it. I would've really needed someone to tell and show me that it's okay to be a more homebody person so I wouldn't have spent years thinking something was wrong with me for not being outgoing and stuff.
You can tell the difference between people who were raised understanding that and those who weren't. I think people push their children to be more open because it just makes life easier when you're more sociable.
Yes i was extremely shy growing up and my mom would constantly push me to do “outgoing” things. I would get nose bleeds and headaches for having to get out of my comfort zone. Now that i have a daughter that’s 5 i let her lead tell me what she wants to do and what she is comfortable with
I smiled the entire video. Someone who strives to understand a childs psyche ,this makes my heart warm. Raven, you often say you’re learning as you go but you sweet lady were destined to be Ziya’s mommy. You consider her character and encourage her, you don’t seem to push her. Your positive reassurance will build Ziya up to be such an amazing human. I’m sure you enjoyed this experience but I may have enjoyed it more lol, it’s truly wholesome!
As an adult who was a very shy and apprehensive child this is appreciated. Even at my big age I still feel so awkward when I have to tell people I don’t really like new experiences I’m simply just too shy and anxious in new situations. You’re doing great and I know She is going to appreciate the attention you payed to her emotions and feelings at such a young age.
I’m only half through this video but a little teary eyed. This was such a mommy win, the effort and love that went into creating a comfortable saline experience for Ziyah after the meltdown is so cute and I’m sure she will remember it ❤️ thanks for being an example for women like me who don’t yet have children of their own but aspire to be
“We are remodeling” 🤣😂 “Would you like Lavender or Lavender cause we only have Lavender” 🤣🤣🤣😂 This was even better than going out to the actual salon, she can relax in the comfort of her own home with her mommy 😊 Soooo cute!!!
Raven, yu ar so clever to invent this whole thing at a moment's notice, I wish I was the next client, but I got wait my turn. And for another occasion, the rest of her girlfriends, is even better. I think I will give myself a pedi-mini-cure.
Maybe giving her a heads up on the plans, like a day or two in advance might help. It'll give her a chance to ask questions, maybe watch a YT video of another kid doing the activity(s), thereby giving her a better sense of control. ❤
This is so adorable. The fact that Ziya’s feeling were acknowledged and respected by Raven is everything! I definitely feel the love. Shout out to all the mothers who truly care. 💕
This honestly melted my heart. I was exactly like Ziya at her age and i would’ve appreciated something like this and not being pressured to be outgoing! Great job Raven! You’re doing amazing 🥲!
This is the most I have ever heard Ziya speak on any thing- good job mommy. I am normally a silent viewer but this one I really had to comment. I love the home spa , ziya has such a vivid personality , when she said my husband clips my toe nails and her grandmas cat that she lets out along with her tatoo. I was in love all over again. This was really a great video
Wow Zyas smile when you showed her the surprise diy room at home was just pure “you get me mom thank god” All in one little look.. she’s a great, very unique kid your very blessed.
Truly a priceless mother and daughter time well-spent... Raven's ratchet nail salon is expensive, lol Ziya's exit strategy and explanation for how she will pay was on point...
I love that you acknowledged her feelings and emotions. My son is very similar, if we’re out too long… he’ll say, “mommy I want to go home.” And I find that’s perfectly okay because children do take after their parents in many ways. Great job Raven, you’re such an amazing mommy. 💛😊
Ziya said “In my apartment in this hotel” literally 😆 she’s so cute. I also really love that you ended up giving her the same experience in a comfortable environment for her. So when she is ready to go the actual salon she already knows the process.♥️
I smiled the entire video🥺not only was this was a super cute mommy/daughter activity, but it’s sooo refreshing to see a parent really put effort into acknowledging the child’s feelings, personality, and wants. Validating her choices and thoughts is something so many of us wish we had growing up and as cliche/corny as it sounds lol it really gives me hope for the babies being raised right now. You’re doing doing great sweetie!!😭❤️
Halfway through the video and I’m not crying! Are you crying?? 😭 I love how Raven paused and was like ok this is not fun for her so I’m not going to force it. She could’ve stopped right there but instead, she set up a whole spa in her glam room for Ziya!! This is so beautiful!! 😍
This is one of the best examples of boundary respect and parental acceptance and love that I’ve seen in a long time!!! Brava to you, Raven!!! ❤️❤️❤️👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️
I saw the video from last week. I was stressed and I was just watching the video. I love how you set aside some time for Ziya, you are such a great mother. Love you both!
You are such an incredible mother! You treat her with respect and allow her to make her own decisions and most importantly you are honest without crushing her ideas. You are doing great! Thank you for being such a gos example of a strong mother!
The thing is, sadly people confuse social anxiety WAY too much with introversion. Ziya is obviously an introverted kid, which there is nothing wrong with. But usually parents and teacher confuse them not wanting to be the center of attention with them being scared and think 'Oh no there something wrong with them.' I was an introverted kid and my mom and siblings would make fun of me when I would be standing in a corner on the stage at a school play when all the other kids where dancing and eventually my introversion turned into social anxiety because I obviously thought something was wrong with me. One day Ziya is going to turn into a confident young woman who is happy with who she is all thanks to your absolutely amazing way of raising her. I seriously look up to you, Raven.
honestly the at home moments you spend with her will be her most treasured memories. My mom is the reason I love nail polish and doing my nails. She always has so many polishes.
*I vividly remember when I was like 7 I was so upset when my parents took my sisters and I to Disneyland lol! It's such hard emotions to process and share as a child because even then I knew how much money they were spending and I knew this was such a big deal and I didn't want to come off as a brat...but I just simply didn't want to go. I LOVED being at home with just my parents or riding in the back seat while my mom did errands. To me, at that little age, that was my happy place. Now as a 23-year-old woman, it's the exact same and I'm totally ok with that!*
Awww this is so cute ur such a good mom love how you embrace her shyness/anxiety and don't force her to be "outgoing" & Ziya is a character talking about her husband Shawn & her kids Ella & Zylie lol I died at her storylines she's too cute 😂😂
I love how raven was understanding of Ziya’s anxiety and discomfort. Not a lot of parents sympathize with their kids in those types of situations so shout out to her for that 🙌🙌
Raven please adopt me chile…. I am self sufficient, I cook, I work, and I just mind my business until you need me. This is so cute 🥰 . Her memories will be filled with you being the best mom ever! You are doing amazing and we are here for it!
My daughter is 8 and is an old soul who enjoys reading a book, watching movies and loves the tranquility of being at home. You seem to provide such a comforting and loving home that she loves it so much and don’t want to leave! My kids the same way! You inspired me…taking my daughter to the spa..she asked me 2 weeks ago! Keep being fabulous girl!
Raven will always do anything to make sure Ziya has great memories. La Spa Raven is a must have for all toddlers to attend with special guest boogie. ❤️
This video truly touched my heart , it actually made me cry (happy tears of course).. as a child I had such a huge personality but often played alone b|c it was a safe place for me , my mom allowed me to use my imagination such as Ziya with the my husband & kids lol but the acknowledgment & the playing along she gave me always stuck with me . Raven , I’ve been watching you for yearsssss now , even met you at BeautyCon 2018 & I just wanna say Thank You , Thank You for being you 🥺 & allowing us into your life .. you’re such an amazing mommy ! 💓
As someone who grew up with, and still struggles hard with severe anxiety, I really appreciate how respectful you are of Ziya’s boundaries. I almost was brought to tears to be completely honest. It’s so refreshing to see that you have respect for her and her feelings. You let her do what needs to be done for her to be comfortable. So thank you for showing her that she deserves to be respected and loved. You’re an amazing mother
An Absolutely Heart-Warming Video. I enjoyed watching Ziya getting pampered and Raven laughing at some of her responses in the background. This was a beautiful Mother and Daughter Bonding Video. Loved it!
I love the Spa Day you had for Ziya. It's a day she will remember for the rest of her life! You can tell she really enjoyed it. And when she talked about her "husband" that took me out.😂😂😂
At least you guys got to have time together for a mother daughter day, that’s all that matters and a at home spa day is just as good and when my daughter was Ziyas age she was the same exact way believe it or not, she was a homebody and also would get anxiety on certain outings, and she’s soo smart and beautiful, you’re such an amazing Mama Raven.💁🏽♀️
I'm sure that this will be one of the moments that Ziya will always remember. Raven, you are doing such an amazing job raising your daughter and I wish you all the best with everything!! 😍
Just a suggestion, not sure if it will work - Maybe next time you can try and book someone to come to the house and do her nails/give her a Spa treatment at the house. Maybe that could be easier for her. But I think the fact that you did it for her that was more than pleasing (&memorable) for her.
Raven I love how intentional you are about being present with Ziya, it so beautiful and wholesome to see. You are doing amazing❤️. She is blessed to have you!!! Lots of love from South Africa🇿🇦
brb crying this is so wholesome 🥺 i love the relationship between you and ziya! she’s your daughter but it’s like y’all are besties too which is so cute 🥰
I adore that you don’t force Ziya to do things she doesn’t want to do and you ask her questions. Cause a lot of people easily say “well we are here already so you gonna do it” As a person who works in child care, I respect your acknowledgement towards her own personal feelings and making sure she feels heard and is emotionally cared for. Huge respect Raven!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍 Love you and Ziya to bits!
Raven, you are an awesome mom!!! I am an introvert through and through and my home and solitude are my sanctuary. I am not a big fan of social events or gatherings either. I get a little anxious when I have to hang out with new people too. When I do go out, after like 2 hours of hanging out I need to just be by myself to recharge. The crowds and the socializing drains me mentally and emotionally.
3:30 to 3:39 - awe she wanted to make sure it was just her and mommy🥺❤️ i was like that when I was younger because my mom was a single mother and worked a lot. I always just wanted to be with her. She died when I was 14 and I’m 22 now and I treasure the time we spent together and talks we use to have. You two are so cute ! Love the bond
You are an amazing mom, keep up the great work. Only you understand what Ziya like and don't. We always quick to tell parents what to do with their children when we don't know what the children personalities. That said you are an awesome mom🥰👏🙌
Awww 🥰 that’s so sweet of Raven to still make a at home spa for Ziya even though she wasn’t comfortable in an actual setting.. 🥲🥲 maybe next time you try she’ll be more excited for it
This was literally so cute 😭 omg. I’m glad you guys had this special time. It’s so important to know what your child is going to be comfortable with! I love this and it shows that she enjoyed it!
What a sweet little girl. Ziya will definitely remember these special moments. It’s very important that parents are always showing this level of attention and love to their children, ESPECIALLY if they’re an only child like Ziya. Children should always feel affirmed, loved, and a made a priority. These are the memories that will shape them as adults.
Ziya will be a mom one day looking back at these videos and it will mean so much to her. You truly are the blueprint Raven. I am so happy for your little family and inspired by your determination to be a phenomenal mother.
I want to acknowledge your intentional effort not to exploit Ziya. You gracefully protect her emotions and allow her to have private moments. You never overshare her innocence and I appreciate that. You are truly a wonder.❤️
Mommy Daughter Day! Wow So adorable, So creative. What a great complement Ziya's heart is to spend time with you. Enjoy your baby girl she is growing up so nice. Thank you for allowing us to watch her grow. Great job Mom Raven
This was so fun to watch and so on time because my step daughter birthday is the 24th and I’ve been promising her a spa day as well. Thank you for sharing this. This is what Ziya will always remember, time is precious and so is y’all bond!
Raven you are such an amazing mother to Ziya. I admire how you are so understanding of her needs and the things that make her feel safe and comfortable. So many parents try to force their kids to do things because that’s what they want to do. I love how you let Ziya embrace who she is and allow her to be herself & in her own element. Y’all are such beautiful spirits and this is why I always come back to your channel ❤️❤️
Raven you seriously inspire me as a mom. so many of us went our entire childhoods feeling invisible to our parents but ziya will never feel that way with you. you two were meant to be mother & daughter 💜
This may have been a backup plan but it was PERFECT!! 😭 I would’ve lost my mind if my mom did something like this for me. Kudos to you, Raven! Ziya’s storytelling is on point. 😂😂😂 and her mix match feet are a whole vibe, I’m about to do that to myself lol. I’m mad that she said she was ballin for the extra pedicure services and then dipped on the bill. I’m cracking up. 😂😂😂
i have to come back to this video occasionally because its just so sweet. my mom wouldve had me feeling so guilty and my anxiety about trying new things would have been so much worse. you even went above and beyond and gave a real service, like even making it look like a real salon just at home. it really is all about compromise. she got to stay home, you got your mommy daughter spa day, and she doesnt have to feel bad about "ruining" anything or "embarrassing" you. literally doesnt seem like anyone can lose with you in their lives!
This had me happy crying! This was the cutest, most thoughtful video that I have seen in a long time! You're such a good mommy and she is a lucky little girl! God bless you both!🙏❤
Ziya got a whole husband and 2 kids 😆🤣. And an apartment. They grow up so fast 😢 lol! And she's inked!!! 😆 Ziya Papaya really is living her best life. This was too cute.
I've never thought I would I would relate to a 5 year old girl but I do, she's just a sweet girl who knows what she wants, you raised her wonderful, your a great mom and don't let anyone tell you otherwise you keep going, I've been watching since Ziya was 2 years old and your doing great keep it up 💗💜
I love how you've acknowledged how Ziya is personality-wise and go after that instead of kind of forcing her to be outgoing and stuff which some parents do.
Right! Love how she allows and respects Ziya’s opinion and isn’t forceful. I wish my parents were like that growing up
Right!? I am exactly like Ziya and growing up my mom acknowledged that as my personality and I am grateful every day
You can tell the difference between people who were raised understanding that and those who weren't. I think people push their children to be more open because it just makes life easier when you're more sociable.

Quality time is important and Mason knows how to make it fun

op
“My husband clips them for me” had me dead ngl 😂😂😂
Listen!! Ziya is manifesting her future!!
Shaun be treating her right 😭😂
Lol
😂😂😂
Yssssss
As an adult who was a very shy and apprehensive child this is appreciated. Raven is the best zivah❤❤
This was so sweet and will be an everlasting memory.
Ms. Ziya took me our talking about her husband 🤣 “YOUR WHO-????”
“We are remodeling” 🤣😂
“Would you like Lavender or Lavender cause we only have Lavender” 🤣🤣🤣😂
This was even better than going out to the actual salon, she can relax in the comfort of her own home with her mommy 😊
Soooo cute!!!
Literally the two moments I cracked up 😂

Ooo yea seeing other kids enjoying it may warm her up to it! I know I always watch videos of people doing scary things before I do it too 😅😂
My mum does the same thing with me and i’m a teenager 😭 i’m very shy and quiet at times so i really appreciate it
@suzan you canopy bed
That’s a good point.
Great idea!
This is so adorable. The fact that Ziya’s feeling were acknowledged and respected by Raven is everything! I definitely feel the love. Shout out to all the mothers who truly care. 💕
Ziya’s personality really shows when she’s comfortable 🥰 so smart, funny and imaginative. Thx for sharing Raven !
This honestly melted my heart. I was exactly like Ziya at her age and i would’ve appreciated something like this and not being pressured to be outgoing! Great job Raven! You’re doing amazing 🥲!
Ziya's husband Sean sounds like a keeper 😂
This was cute! Ziya played her part and thoroughly enjoyed her spa day and then she ran out on the plug & didn’t pay. 😆😆
LOL!!
The storyline in the “spa” is great 😂
Of course she can splurge on the bath-bomb.
Im so proud of Raven, ive been watching her since she was in college doing diy videos. Shes come so far and is still killin it❤❤❤❤
Same !
Etc
And ziya always so pretty & polished
This is the most I have ever heard Ziya speak on any thing- good job mommy. I am normally a silent viewer but this one I really had to comment. I love the home spa , ziya has such a vivid personality , when she said my husband clips my toe nails and her grandmas cat that she lets out along with her tatoo. I was in love all over again. This was really a great video
I can only imagine when Ziya grows up being able to watch these back is going to be special!!!
Wow Zyas smile when you showed her the surprise diy room at home was just pure “you get me mom thank god” All in one little look.. she’s a great, very unique kid your very blessed.
What a wonderful mother-daughter spa day. My mother is 95 and we did this at the basement beauty shop in back in the 60's :^)
Wow! Cool memory!
Wow cool
This was so cute and creative!!! 💕 Ziya is such a sweetie
Yessss! So true a beautiful young girl
Ziya’s family had me dying laughing. A whole husband and two kids.
Truly a priceless mother and daughter time well-spent...
Raven's ratchet nail salon is expensive, lol
Ziya's exit strategy and explanation for how she will pay was on point...
Pretty sure I’ve commented this before, but you are an amazing mom Raven! Ziya is blessed to have you.
Raven: these toe nails look like they have been clipped, did you clip them at home?
no one:
NO ONE EVER:
*Ziya: yes my husband clipped them for me*
Alright Ziya I see you out here living that luxury diy spa life💅👀*Raven your killing it with raising Ziya*
I love that you acknowledged her feelings and emotions. My son is very similar, if we’re out too long… he’ll say, “mommy I want to go home.” And I find that’s perfectly okay because children do take after their parents in many ways. Great job Raven, you’re such an amazing mommy. 💛😊

You are such an incredible mother! You treat her with respect and allow her to make her own decisions and most importantly you are honest without crushing her ideas. You are doing great! Thank you for being such a gos example of a strong mother!
When she answered SEAN....like why she answer so quickly 😂😂😂😂😂😂 good job mama. I too set aside a specific day each week for a mommy and me date.
I just love how you understand her and you don’t force her to do things. You’re such a good mom

Can't believe she's 5! Crazy how time flies.... been watching for a bit (before ziya was born) and its been really nice to grow with you. 💕
I love the Spa Day you had for Ziya. It's a day she will remember for the rest of her life! You can tell she really enjoyed it. And when she talked about her "husband" that took me out.😂😂😂
I LOVE this !!!! I was a VERY shy kid I love that you didn’t force her to do anything she’ll try new things as she’s ready !!

She really is 🥰
I love her imagination and I like how she played along with you at the spa. That was so thoughtful of you to do this for her at home!

Being an introvert and Aries myself, this reminds me a lot with my childhood 🤣🤣 but honestly I missed out a lot.
Love that you always cater to how Ziya feels instead of forcing her into uncomfortable situations. 🥺💛
Ziya looks so beautiful. Hopefully, she will love getting more pampering as she grows. She so sweet.
So precious! She'll for sure remember this experience and how special you made this for her. 💕
This was the cutest thing ever!! Big props to you Raven for making Ziya feel as special as a spa would but also as comfortable as only a mom can do ❤
Love the fact that you didn’t force it on her and you came up with a fun comfortable way to do it and you guys go to bond! You’re an amazing mother 😊🎉
Lady, you Rock! That baby was so Happy! Time spent is worth so much! You are so funny. I loved watching .
This is so sweet. I know you’ll pull all the stops for her spa day birthday party! That will be so fun to see. 🧖🏾♀️❤️
Ziya will be a mom one day looking back at these videos and it will mean so much to her. You truly are the blueprint Raven. I am so happy for your little family and inspired by your determination to be a phenomenal mother.
Aw this is so cute! It’s Ziya’s hair growth for me 😍
I wanted to cry watching this. You are such a great mom! This was such a sweet tender moment. Love it!
Well at least Sean is a good husband lol. Hope he continues to treat Ziya like the queen she is 😂😂😂😂😂
i love how you respect her opinions you did an adorable/ cute job
I love Ziya personality she’s just her own self 🦋✨
I want to acknowledge your intentional effort not to exploit Ziya. You gracefully protect her emotions and allow her to have private moments. You never overshare her innocence and I appreciate that. You are truly a wonder.❤️
Ziya is queen of storylines 😂😂😂 she had me cracking up!
Mommy Daughter Day! Wow So adorable,
So creative.
Talk about evolving with the DIY videos. I remember when you were in college, time flies! We love to see it!
God bless you both!🙏❤
Raven you are such an amazing mom! This is everything
Ziya got a whole husband and 2 kids 😆🤣. And an apartment. They grow up so fast 😢 lol!
And she's inked!!! 😆 Ziya Papaya really is living her best life.
This was too cute.
Too grown! LOL!!
I've never thought I would I would relate to a 5 year old girl but I do, she's just a sweet girl who knows what she wants, you raised her wonderful, your a great mom and don't let anyone tell you otherwise you keep going, I've been watching since Ziya was 2 years old and your doing great keep it up 💗💜
evrything about this whole process is what amazing parenting looks like.
the bond a mother and daughter has is unbreakable 💖😍🌼🦋
