The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!
dude I live in sarasota and always fished my whole life until last 5 years or so...in shore fishing here sucks now. But man, I can't stop watching all your videos all week and now I want to fish again! Please keep making them! So good!
This brought back some cool memories for me. In 1985 I had moved to Fort Lauderdale. I was living at 51st and Bayview a block from the inter coastal off of Commercial Blvd. I would fish at the Comercial Blvd. pier a lot. One day I saw giant manta ray, it was so big it has to lift its wings to fit between the pilings of the pier! I was excited because I hadn't lived there long, and it was the biggest ray I ever saw. I remember this younger kid on the pier starts yelling cobia cobia! Next thing I remember was all these kids casting towards the big ray. The kid who initially started the frenzy hooked into and landed a 40lb cobia. It was so cool I wish I could have caught it on video, but it was 1985 and video cameras were gigantic held a full size vhs tape, and weren't really available for the average person back then...jimi sorry for a long comment but wanted to share the memory this brought back...jimi
I love fishing oyster bars over here in wakulla county in the summer sightcasting at drum that big tailing in the marsh... I got a few videos of just that
Dude, another banger vid. Cobia are probably in my top 5 fish to catch as well. If you're ever back to Dauphin Island, Al around June-August Holler at me, Id love to shoot a vid with you. They Stack up around our anchored container ships!
Biggest cobia i caught was a 50 pounder, took me like 30mins hauling that monster from 70m of water. Hands down 1 of craziest fish i fought on vertical jigging.🤙
It is amusing listening to you guys talking about the cold. If you wanted to fish this time of year where I live you have to chop a hole in the ice. The ice can be over a meter thick so over three feet in USA units. Cheers from frozen Canada. ~ulrich
Dude that jig was crazy. Great action and it’s awesome seeing the three amigos getting it done. You need to pick up a stainless mesh splatter guard when your cooking on the stove top. It really helps with cleanup. Ryan that was another awesome video! Stay safe out there brother.
Awesome video mate! Man I should have moved to Florida instead of Texas. Public Service Announcement tho, as Gordon Ramsay always said, lay the fish away from you when you're putting them in the pan so you get the oil splashing your direction!
That food looks amazing Ryan. You’ve definitely come a long way from throwing it on white bread and calling it a day. I can tell you took acouple pages out of victors book haha. Awesome video mate
Hey Ryan! I am planning on booking a trip with Captain Tanner and I wanted to know which charter you guys chose? Was it the 6 or 9 hour offshore trip or was it the wreck fishing trip?
Bro I've wanted to hook a cobia forever!!! I just have a little scanoe with a trolling motor so it's not easy lol. But one day, here in the Sarasota area 🤘🤘💪💪
@@RyanMorie yessir that's fishing!! Lately I've been focusing on bass fishing but we're coming into the spring. And spring means a couple things...bait fish and tarpon baby!!!
I had a chance to catch one like 3 months ago it was following 2 sharks on a rig but it would not bite made me sad I haven’t seen 1 sense Love the videos ❤🔥
one thing no one really talks about that i learned this past summer is when you pull up to an offshore rig/ structure, youre going to be overwhelmed with the smell of bird shit. its not bad, its fucking horrible
The fishing was great but lost me when it turned into a fishing commercial-advertising event. We realize you gotta do a little brown nosing and throw a little candy to a sponsor. But we’ll look at bass pro commercials for items to buy.

Cobia is in my top 5 eating fish. Another quality video 👍

Ryan's plate looks like he's hungry
Constantly hungry, constantly wanting to catch bigger fish. My brain in a nutshell 😂
36 inch minimum? Here in australia theres no size limit and a bag limit of 5 pp

Ryan's plate looked better. Christina's plate looked like it was put together by Ray Charles.
Don't worry Ryan I am not going to ask for any of your fish dinner I know you don't like to share 😊
Cristina’s plate looks better. I would have put together my plate like Ryan.
Does the goat respond
Not the goat, but I definitely respond on here
