    I'm doing this now on my own. I keep spreadsheets of my income and other parameters and then once I know my income that year, I do a Roth conversion. I follow the procedures as you've described, Mike.

    Love the content you guys make. Question, can you take an inherited IRA and transfer money from there, to your own personal Roth account?

      You can't transfer directly. You can take out RMD and deposit contribution to your Roth separately.

    I did this last year. My H&R Block software indicated that I could not e-file - only paper file. Is this an H&R Block issue or an IRS issue? Turbotax?
