I've only watched this video, but I was wondering if you've mentioned French Style: servers bring food on platters and serve guests individually. Servers control food portion and presentation. Russian Style: servers bring food to table's on platters, guests serve themselves and choose their portions (like Downtown Abbey). The most familiar to myself is Country/ Family/Italian dining style. At weddings/receptions of 100-500 this is the one most typical in ethnic circles. It usually came out to 50$ a head for a soup, salad, two protein, one starch, cooked veg,and dessert 4 - 5 course meal. I've never seen food truck or stations at a wedding - this one was most informative. Buffets are most popular at showers, and drop /pickup catered events. One more casual wedding luncheon had the groom's ethnic food on one buffet table, and the bride's on another. The one thing I was hoping for was pros and cons of which one suits outdoor vs. indoor weddings, certain environments ,vibes/ styles etc. Might you have one on that? Thank you.
Super interesting info! Caterers in Montana (where I’m based) don’t offer French or Russian style, so I’ll definitely have to look into that more! I don’t currently have one, but I think the idea of what type of catering style works for the environment/venue/setting is a great idea for a video! I’ll see what I can do.
What type of catering, would work best for a cocktail wedding reception.
Great info! Thought it's making me hungry talking about catering!
😋😋 thanks for watching!
