- Watch me make Charmander from Pokémon! This is a poseable art doll and is a cross between a sculpture and a plush. The head is made with 3D printed resin. Check below for a link to the products I use.
Pokemon Red was my first video game ever as a kid, and Charmander was my first Pokemon so I feel very nostalgic towards it! This was one I was definitely going to make at some point. I'm very happy with how he turned out. I'm almost tempted to keep him. 😢

WHY FUR: Sadly there is no good "scaled" fabric that isn't restrictive for posing or covers up wrinkles when moved. There are sequins but I highly dislike working with them. The reason why this has a more smooth figure is because of the fur. Otherwise there would be ugly seams all over the head and face. If you think a different material is better, you are always welcome to make your own. :)
In my opinion it makes it really cute and more cuddle-able. Btw love these vids, keep it up.

I wonder which other Pokemon that you're planning to bring to life next ... Vulpix, Galarain Rapidash, Beautifly, Pachirisu, Pidgeot, Lucario, Serperior or one of the legendary Pokemon for your challenge. With so many sculpture/plush Pokemon have been made you could make money💸selling them since you're very talent.

I am so glad I found your page on IG. Does your patreon have tutorials on how you do the tape method for the patterns? That's exactly what I wanna learn, like how do you determine where to separate the pieces, where to place the darts to make then flat, and the markings to put to make sure that everything gets sewn back together properly.

I know it would be way more work, but you could cut the fur fabric into scales for the scaled pokemon and do it that way.
But the plushie look is lovely, too! It looks very huggable.
I did that one time for just the legs on the art doll in my profile pic as it's a merfox, it took 5 hours for a 10x10in area so I'm not really inclined to do it for a whole art doll lol as it would probably take me an extra half week and I'd be so scared to mess up. But it is nice as an accent :)
