- Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen dropped some huge news that may push the corwd-funded MMO closer to the finish line while opening up the game to...well...EVERYONE.
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, the classically-inspired PvE MMORPG will be going into Early access in December of 2024.
In addition to that we'll be getting 6 total zones, 6 playable races, and 12 classes.
Essentially this is the promise of a huge content dump to end the year after a successful few months of seasonal testing phases which already expanded the game.

@@joeadams3672 I'm having fun playing EQ2 on the origin server myself. Crafters have lost their minds and are overpricing player made items. I can buy my Master version of spells cheaper than the player made Adept III. Master is better than Adept III.

Everquest was my very first MMO. I left it for greener pastures so many years ago I can't even remember when I quit but I remember why I quit it was after shadows of lucin And it was because of the nerf they gave to the beastmaster. As somebody who played the necromancer quite heavily I got sick and tired of the constant nerfs. When the beast master came out I moved to that class for quite a while and had a lot of fun with it until they started nerving it too from no other reason than the nerve it. And that was the final straw. I really hope pathian learns from that lesson and doesn't go down the route of gift players a cool ability then take it away because it was stronger than some other classes ability... Instead of giving those other classes an ability to match it. I know some people love the Dark souls experience but for me I want power fantasy I want to feel unstoppable I want that experience of walking into a room and acting like the main character of an Isekai. Trouncing everything with a flick of my finger it's one of my favorite things to do in World of Warcraft go back into low level dungeons and raids hat max level and stomp through them solo. Yes I want getting from them as transmogs but I get that feeling of being overpoweand I don't get that in a lot of these modern games that think they have to mimic dark souls in order to have a successful audience.
I hope this game takes off. This genre desperately needs a step forward.
Depends. I told my friend, if you aren't the type to get excited for a new EQ private server or eq tlp server this probably isn't for you. A few of my friends who are into classic wow are interested, not sure if they'll stick to it. I already pledged and am excited to no life in December.

Thanks for going through the extra trouble of putting this video together despite your lack of internet. Been keeping an eye on this game for a while, seems a very optimistic goal to have all that content ready for December but I hope they pull it off.
This game has been on my radar for a while, and I can't wait to check it out. I love classic MMOs and have been looking for something different to play. Kudos to the development team for their dedication and, hopefully, for releasing the next MMO to embroil myself in. My sympathies to those that are 'paused' or lost their jobs.
Had fun for the free cohh carnage weekend and have been on the fence about pledging but very interested in seeing more of the game and gameworld. Bummed out about the Bard, as it's my class of choice and I end up comparing every other class I try, to it. But at least they're moving forward with Necromancer soon, my second pick. Kind of hoping they have another free tester weekend sometime before this early access stuff. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to put a video together.

This looks like a modern and polished version of EQ, sweet. Loved EQ1. Then WoW blew EQ2 out of the water. Also always felt like they added too many races to EQ2. Hope this is great.

I'm surprised to hear about the necro. I'm really interested to know how it's going to fit into group content.
If they could wipe but allow people to keep their player names and friends list, so when they restart, they are still recognisable, I think that would be reasonable.
It's going to be interesting to see where they go with it. There are some very heated opinions on all sides of the topic of wipes.

I've been searching for something new to play MMO wise for quite a while and I'm happy to say since I've found your channel I've been going on a nostalgic MMO adventure. Dipping my toes into Everquest again after a very long time and keeping my eye on games such as Pantheon and Monsters & Memories. I played EQOA back in the day and have been searching for a game to fit its shoes since it sunset and hopefully one of these will be able to fill that gap. Thanks for the content!

I appreciate your enthusiasm Red Beard, and respect your views. Here are my problems... I got excited for season (was a pathfinder pledger from way back) and I wanted full access so I spent the extra cash for VIP access. Now I find out that if I would have just waited I could have had full access by September without paying a dime more (frustrating as a long time supporter)... on top of that this is the 3rd or 4th change (art change, Pantheon 247 are the big ones) in a year not mentioning ALL the changes prior to that... on top of that the Community Manager says their only goal is to get Pantheon out all other considerations are fluid. The "fluid" nature of this MMO, that I truly wanna love, is where I have some serious reservations. EA so soon after the start of Seasons along with lay-offs and the engine change, graphics change, 247... how can I believe this company is not in dire straights. I hope they (VR) get what they need from EA, I really want this game to be the spiritual successor to EQ1... if not this will be the most epic failure of all time in the gaming industry.
So please help me out.. what exactly do I have to do to gain early access if they launch that in December?
Currently any pledge tier from $50 on up will have access to Early Access in December (as well as access during seasonal testing atm). It's not clear yet what monetizaton for EA will be but best guess atm? Probably something like what other EA games are doing, a few different founder pack tiers.
The new armor looks a ton better than what's currently in game, excited to see the different sets! I dont know how they're going to do 6 zones and 6 races but if they pull it off and the zones are more or less complete I'll be impressed. I dont want a pledge btw, already pledged :)

I was so focused on Dark Myr and Underwater content, I might only dabble in Early Release Pantheon, and focus on the Alpha 2 for Ashes of Creation instead.
Since Pantheon Launch is still likely years away, I won't be missing on what I really want.

I think it's strange to call it an early access release when we know there's going to be wipes. I can't convince my all my guildies to come and play if they're going to wipe during the Early Access. It really just sounds like a all access for anyone who's pledged kind of testing phase
I want to see how they're gonna monetize EA. They've already said no Sub so will be interesting to see what they do since pledges will be going away from the sound of it. I'm sure we'll get more details soon.
Got to play the game on the free weekend back in April, it has a lot of promise. I hope there's plenty of content for EA.

Very exciting news for Pantheon fans though I'm a bit crushed to hear the Druid won't be included at launch. That was the class that piqued my interest the most. Fingers crossed we get it sooner rather than later. Let the countdown to December begin!

I just watched another video that said Pantheon is officially out of money, fired devs, and the lead dev is streaming on twitch to try and make money for the game now? The news is all over the place
lol none of that is true. Did they provide sources or just wild speculation? Everything we actually know has to come directly from VR unless they have sources everyone else doesn't. Even "firing devs" doesn't fit with the specific wording which suggested furloughing which *does* suck and should be a focus for people because those are real people who lost their pay, even if it's temporary and they need to seek something else.
@@Shokadezz As somebody who has backed star citizens since 2012 and has been playing in the alpha I can attest that these kinds of hit pieces Are as constant as the ocean has waves don't believe them until The news comes straight from the developers. Or a very trusted streamer that constantly covers the product.

As a software engineer myself, but not in the gaming space, I really feel for those who commit so much of themselves to something and see such news. Hopefully this pause / furlough action is temporary, and early access news will inject enough finances to see everything resume as we all want to see.

Did you say (without) saying, at the end of seasons, servers still be open to play. Does that mean that since no seasons, that even supporters pledges can play 24/7 like vip can? Tull December when everyone can play? I have watcher pledged no need for giveawy
Yes, that's what my understanding is. Supporter and up will continue to play. But I have no idea when they will bring the game down for ea after that just that the current plan is to let all Pledges continue to play 24/7.
I really want to see what the ea monetization is. I wish we had that info already so people could decide if they want to pledge as a supporter or wait for ea

Been following this game for a while, a long while. RIP Brad McQuaid. Hopefully this continues to grow into a successful MMO and although it is a little removed from his original vision, I'm sure the heart and soul are still there.

It is a good thing that Pantheon Devs are all part time and have other job. I’m sure everything will go back to better after the early aspect starts.

Look up monsters and memories if you want that eq experience. They run free play tests now and then
