Some additional info..
1.Calcium hydroxide is used for giving a finish on the walls. This happens because it undergoes the following reaction and forms calcium carbonate.
Ca(OH)2 +CO2 ----- CaCO3 + H2O
2. But when too much carbon dioxide is passed the following reaction takes place.
CaCO3 + H2O +CO2 ---- Ca(HCO3)2

Trick if you’re confused between oxidising agent and reducing agent
Sooo yeh toh pta h o2 gain ya h2 loss krega voh oxidation hota h
Toh aise hi jab jiss reactant ne o2 gain kia h uske bagal vale ne o2 lost kia tabhi toh voh oxidise hua na…that’s why bagal wala is reducing agent
Eg
PbO+C--Pb+CO
Dekh sakte ho ki carbon ne o2 gain kia so obvious h carbon ja oxidation hua but yeh oxidation tab hua jab PbO ne apna o2 chor dia that’s why it’s oxidising agent it helped to oxidise carbon
