I somehow forgot 3 Card of Demise in the deck list; I was recreating the deck from memory and presumably stopped at 40 cards. For a tempo-based deck, it's really strong since it gives him flexibility to choose between Pendulum Summoning or Demise to refuel his resources and maintain advantage.
I played dinomists for shits and giggles during a side event in the San Jose regionals back in March. I got 2nd place during the win a mat out of maybe 50 people? not sure, but it was single elimination. I just remembered how people were so surprised that I made it that far, and they couldnt say it was luck either. It's a pretty solid deck guys.
Patrick Ramsey finally somebody admits dinomist is a pure stragetigic deck and its not autopilot, so it didn't have alot of search skills till now, im going to have to tinker with my dinomist for a better build, but my love for them is the cyber dragon infinity play, im definitely getting more of them

How would Dinomists make Crystal Wing? Ultimaya Tzolkin requires its materials to be sent from the field to the Graveyard, which you can't do in Dinomists since they are Pendulum Monsters and will be sent to the Extra Deck not the Graveyard. Unless there's a trick I'm missing.
I played him round 4 and his deck was really good. The main problem was I didn't expect it at all so it threw me for a loop. Plus I bricked really hard against him. But he was really cool.

Dinomists are a surprisingly very good deck, as someone who has played them quite a bit; they can compete if the build is optimized. The issue is that Dinomists can be a bit slow, but really a lot of that can be issued with proper deck optimization. For example, the individual who topped was smart using Card of demise and going for a more stun attribute. Dinomists are great for trying to stymie tempo for your opponents. I personally, run a deck build that utilizes ghost Ogre and snow rabbits as well as Igknight reloaded as a one of. Given how Zoodiac is now the best deck, Ogre is a good choice. As for Howling, the effect is absolutely nuts. I can attest Cimoo, that single card is super useful when clearing out key cards or set back row. And Rex is very useful as its Erebus effect is non-targeting and can be utilized multiple times if you have multiple copies. Same for Spinos, as if you have a card like Dinomist Ceratops, one can just tribute for both of Spinos' effects, if Charge is on the field. Also, the deck as you stated, can work very well under ASF and even D-barrier as it can go for Synchros of XYZs. So yeah, I agree that during this format, DMs are great, but they will get better during LS due to charge and rush.
I have a DinoMist IRL and yes, they are fun, have a lot of built in protection and the flexibility of OTKing, grinding, or controlling. The downfall though is the fact that come link format, the deck becomes extremely hard to play because DinoMist want to have 1 to 2 DinoMist Charge and 1 DinoMist Howling plus any other traps or quick-plays, but they can't do that because the only 3 spells and traps zones they'll have available will be occupied by the archtype's continuous spells and traps. Also, I don't think you realize that you can get the effect of DinoMist Charge when you tribute your DinoMist monsters to activate Spinos or Rex effect. That's how you usually get both Spinos effects to go off, and potentially getting two separate Spinos to attack directly.
I really love this deck. I played it a lot when it first came out. The field spell shut down so many decks. Back when Kozmo were a big thing, this deck shut them down hard. The new trap card breathes a lot of new life into the deck. I haven't played it in a while, but I want to give this build a go.

I actually think this could be a powerful rogue deck for this format and probably the next one, Dinomists have a really nice time with Links and are one of the few pendulum decks that thanks to Rush can utilize Links effectively since Pendulum summoning from the hand doesn't have to happen in an extra-deck zone. But what I would really reccommend is just picking the deck up, except for the three Card of Demises and staples this Deck can be afforded for the cost of a burger
The deck is excellent for LS format due to charge and Rush. Plus, it rarely needs to pendulum summon. Also, DM rex is a thing as it has a non-targeting spin and that in of itself is really deadly. I run a build that I have tailored for LS format, though it runs triple ghost ogre. That could very easily change as LS goes on, but yeah; it is a great budget option.
I wish pends didn't get nerfed so bad so odd eyes raging was still playable, they need to release a continuous spell that removes extra deck limitations but maybe in return it gives your opponent a huge portion or your lifepoints

I've been playing Dinomists casually since January and it's probably the most agressive and fast paced deck I have ever played. It's so easy to go into Infinity (which I do first turn about 90% of the time), it's got great search in Pteran, Charge and more recently Howling, Great lockdown with its field spell and Pendulum Scales, probably the best rogue deck you could possibly play.
Why does everyone think Dinomists are bad? With the right board and set up these guys can make Cyber Dragon Infinity AND Toadally Awesome at once. They are surprisingly consistent, and can deal huge damage. Someone please explain to me why they're a bad deck.

the only struggle i can see for the deck is having to adjust to the pendulum zones merging with the spell/trap zones. makes it harder to run all these good traps and makes stuff like twin twisters a lot more powerful against it. add in the importance of howling and charge, and you can basically only one other actual protection effect.

There's a bunch of cool stuff you can do where you use charge then pop your scales with iris/pendulum sorc then add them back with charge. Then pendulum sorc can search performapal stamp turtle to overlay with the level 4 dinomists for bahamut shark, so you just try to set up boards with toad and infinity.

I'm running Dinomists alongside a couple cards that fuck with the opponent's momentum like Penguin Soldier, Graydle Cobra, and a couple varients of Horn of Heaven, and I can say it's been VERY consistent for me at weekly tours. Can't say if it's any good for high-level play, but I agree that they're VERY good at messing with the obvious meta picks like Zoodiacs
Fabian Vargas I run the deck IRL and the only real draw power that works is extra buck. each time a card goes to your extra deck it gets a counter. send it with 3 counters and draw 2 cards. either that or use pot of riches.
After playing and building this deck it reminds me vaguely of plus one fire fist. You have your own themed tenki as well as a normal summonable beater that can search it when it destroys stuff by battle. Also it pretty good in the grind game.

Isaiah Rivera unfortunately too much of the decks support won't be released til the Pendulum Evolution set and the the last 4 mini boss monsters the supreme king servant dimensional dragons won't be released til code of the duelist. It's a very powerful deck but its release window is what kills it much like DDD before it

yes the deck has built in protection. can kill you quickly. can make infinity. the deck is really good because it can weaken your monster. as long as you defensive traps you'll be alright. if not death will come quickly. I have a guy at locals it gets nasty quickly.

frank unodostres I been terrorizing my friends abcs and blackwings with dinomist, he called them trash, so I bust out infinty, drop all his monsters attack by 1000 for all dinomist, attack him directly with 5k and my field spell is active, it only caused panick, it was eagerly waiting for the new trap howling to be in tcg, its a true shame that meta decks steal the spotlight and everyone just bandwagons, in hoping next format konami limits his urge to make tier 0 decks, if a deck tops locals and events, everyone just gotta play em, and that's annoying 😖
people play for fun, however fun doesn't necessarily make the news. most yugitubing is based around the competitive aspect of the game, and most people would generally agree that dinomist aren't all that high tier. while the dinomist player i imagine was a pretty good player, he definitely had the element of surprise as well as a sort of perfect storm in regards to majority of the other decks being some variant of zoodiac, which definitely helped him out. only other time these sorts of things get attention is when they're being revealed, or when someone comes up with some sort of combo and it starts spreading around. it's kind of why nobody talks about blackwings or fire fist anymore. they're not objectively "bad" decks, they're just not at a level that makes them worth talking about most of the time.
the only cards he used iirc were ragnezero, bahamut shark, 2 toad & nova/infinity, he had the entire rank 4 engine but never went into it & said he would play a second ragnezero, & that infinty didn't do anything, keeping the dinos around being the wincon for the grind game made xyzs generally bad to go into
As a Dinomist player who played starting from when they came out, Dinomist Howling made the deck much, MUCH better.

Easy. Use Metaphys Horus and Plaguespreader. Metaphys is a LVL 6 and Zombie is LVL 2 and bingo you have it.

nothing like playing a rogue deck to make a meta player extremely salty.
I think this might be one of the only decks that will survive links. since charge adds back to hand you can pendulum into normal monster zones

and you didnt even mention that since its a level 4 and 5 WATER Machine type archetype, they can use both Cyber Dragon Infinity and Bahamut Shark for going to Toadally Awesome
Even with link summoning rules dinomist is still fluid as hell because dinomist charge and thanks to the yuya structure deck we still have Penulum reborn ^_= its one of the only pendulum decks that will survive 90%

yes the deck has built in protection. can kill you quickly. can make infinity. the deck is really good because it can weaken your monster. as long as you defensive traps you'll be alright. if not death will come quickly. I have a guy at locals it gets nasty quickly.
plus they have a new good trap. and they are all Pendulums. so the keep on coming back.
People forget to mention that the scales protect the spells and traps too lol
I love this video!!! I love Dinomist!!! I always thought it was a pretty good deck and have done quite well with It, and now that howling is out it makes the deck that much better.

frank unodostres I been terrorizing my friends abcs and blackwings with dinomist, he called them trash, so I bust out infinty, drop all his monsters attack by 1000 for all dinomist, attack him directly with 5k and my field spell is active, it only caused panick, it was eagerly waiting for the new trap howling to be in tcg, its a true shame that meta decks steal the spotlight and everyone just bandwagons, in hoping next format konami limits his urge to make tier 0 decks, if a deck tops locals and events, everyone just gotta play em, and that's annoying 😖
people play for fun, however fun doesn't necessarily make the news. most yugitubing is based around the competitive aspect of the game, and most people would generally agree that dinomist aren't all that high tier. while the dinomist player i imagine was a pretty good player, he definitely had the element of surprise as well as a sort of perfect storm in regards to majority of the other decks being some variant of zoodiac, which definitely helped him out. only other time these sorts of things get attention is when they're being revealed, or when someone comes up with some sort of combo and it starts spreading around. it's kind of why nobody talks about blackwings or fire fist anymore. they're not objectively "bad" decks, they're just not at a level that makes them worth talking about most of the time.

I have the deck myself and it's pretty decent. I don't have card of demise so I play duality instead but it works out pretty well.

the only cards he used iirc were ragnezero, bahamut shark, 2 toad & nova/infinity, he had the entire rank 4 engine but never went into it & said he would play a second ragnezero, & that infinty didn't do anything, keeping the dinos around being the wincon for the grind game made xyzs generally bad to go into
