I just wish I could actually glean (see) the actual steps of West Coast Swing in the dance they are doing. I guess this comment shows my level of "expertise" of the West Coast Swing!
@@rondycks1481 hehe... I noticed the same thing.
But even though I've just started my WCS journey, I've been dancing for a long time - so I was pretty sure that if I don't see the basic step - it's just not there :P
So I asked my teacher "what about the basic steps in the pro competition", and answer was "there is a level where you don't need this 'step step triplestep triplestep' stuff anymore for leading/following, and you just flow with the music together".

ugh, dance has gone downhill. to much zouk and not enough swing, they both can dance 200% better than this.
Thanks. I was trying to figure out what was going on. I started WCS about 5 years ago, and added Lindy and Argentine Tango to my repertoire. Having fun in the social dance scene, and have been watching WCS incorporate more non-swing elements and was wondering about the fluid body movement additions.
