A dozer would have went through as well. The jeep is just to drag equipment in and out. It wieght 4,000lbs and not 60,000 like the rotator. Once the tractor was on a sled they thought they'd try dragging it with that instead of 1 million feet of winching. As a tower and a sledder I'd say they did damn good
Was it the clubs unit or on lease from a farmer? Great job and cool video. Watching a rotator spin front tire down the snowmobile trail is pretty darn cool
The tractor was over 800 feet out and not in a straight line we used the jeep to keep it on solid ice. Thanks for sharing but it definitely made the job easier.
The swamp was over 15 feet deep, and upon the call for this recovery the motor was already hydro locked. So that was not an option, great idea though just too deep.

This was not the crex meadows however years ago we did recover a trail groomer from crex meadows.

Why go the method of smashing it to bits? Could have just left it there till summer and drove it out.
