A small tip for opening jars like the one you and Billy were struggling with. Carefully insert the very tip of a knife just under the lip of the lid. This breaks the seal so the lid comes off very easily.
Great video, Becca! Love all the ideas. Have made things similar to some of them. Love how you eat the food for a few meals. Also love your vege broth bag! 🥕🥬🥔🧄🧅 Happy birthday to William! 🎈🎈
I love these videos. I've been watching your videos since you moved to NZ. I stumbled on to them as we were going to move to NZ too and was wondering what MIQ was going to be like. Your video was excellent and I've been hooked ever since! I even have been making more veggie meals for myself and my family because of you! Thanks! Oh and YES to a website!
Thank you!! Such a nice comment ☺️ and that’s my very favorite thing to hear! One veggie meal a week is a great way to start. And thanks😊 I actually did throw up a very basic website just as a place to store some recipes.
It all looked mouth watering, Billy's precise chopping skills are always most impressive. I hope you take good care of that square of foil, it's got to last as long as possible, until you get given another piece. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but in your intro and outro, looks like you might have been playing with a bit of makeup Becca, I thought you didn't buy that stuff :)
Must’ve been the bright lighting! I don’t wear makeup 😂 and it’s so strange because in a year this is the only meal we’ve found that we’ve wanted to use foil for. I need to find a good replacement!
Absolutely! It’s mostly similar, but to note a few: Different names for lots of produce (capsicum, coriander, aubergine, kumara, etc) Prices vary so much here throughout the season, and things are much more expensive, especially if it’s been imported. Also spices are slightly different, only noticed it with chili powder though. It’s so spicy here. And in the states it’s literally powder to make chili with.
Every meal looked so delicious, thanks for sharing such easy yet tasty Veggie dishes 😋
Staples in our house! I love sharing stuff like this where it’s a big part of my life 🧡

So genius! Definitely going to try this next time!! Nothing worse than not being able to open a jar 😭
@@Becca.Loveless forgot to add to slightly twist the knife 😊
Being a meat eater I could easily give up on it for awhile with your recipes, they look delicious particularly the curry.
And so simple! These are all meals we really do eat alllllll the time.
Just add a bacon hock to give it that meat flavour, I do this all the time with my “Special” bean stew.
@@craigrik2699 I make a great pea and ham soup with a bacon hock.
So delicious looking love your recipes
Thanks! I only share recipes our family makes and eats a ton!!

Leftovers are the best!! And homemade veggie broth is incredible. Nothing like turning scraps into a usable, healthy, delicious broth!
Hi Becca. I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I had to chuckle at Billy's struggle with the chopsticks & dumplings & the jar lid 😂
P.S. I checked out your work in progress website, looking good ☺
He’s always the funniest parts of my movies!
Thanks! Threw it together in two hours before the movie came out 😅
I really was hoping you'd do cook vid.
They’re a bit more work so I don’t do them too often 😅 plus they don’t do so well on here
Awesome becks. 1 week of Ornish diet for me. It's vegan but no oils. Love your recipe ideas for a beginner
My mom is doing that! She’s been seeing positive results!

Aw thanks! Let me know if you do end up trying any of these! 😊
did you find differences in ingredients (and prices) between the countries?

I found interesting how mexican your go to list is. here, the neighbour is asia, so tacos etc are rare and exotic 😅
