Exactly when did they get the parts or the time to fix their crash landed ship? Sounds like Star Treks Zefferum Cokrins ( spelling unsure)first warp ship ride mixed with The Sphere. Anyone notice how the AI sure does like the word "Palpable" when writing these stories? One story everyone is at war, next moment Ambassador's and the ships Captain are hooking up. Fighting and Phuking. lol

Ok, so an alien race without ftl ability has an interstellar empire with interstellar trade routes and are scared of humans developing ftl travel. I didnt even make it 2 minutes in because the story made no sense at all.
The aliens somehow tapped into a classified communication system on Earth and found out humans were developing a ftl drive, then sent a scout ship to Earth somehow, without the ability of ftl travel, to monitor the progress of the research. I guess the aliens are magical and can teleport their ships around the galaxy.
What is the diff between "Hyperspace" jump drive and Faster Than Light drive?
@maryadams6415 In our understanding, both are considered ftl because hyperspace allows you to travel between star systems in days instead of years, decades, or centuries. Theoretically, hyperspace compresses the time/space between 2 points, allowing ftl travel from point a to point b while what many call impossible ftl is just pushing a ship past the speed of light.
So if no FTL how did Star Treks Gem Hadar get to Earth? Now they are using Aliens concepts and how the the ship get repaired? Horrible story.

What in the gay hell?! It had an interesting start in spite of the fact that it was calling on Star Trek References (I don't care about the spelling -- phonetically it's lazy and it's calling upon another franchise to hook an audience), but to go off on an Evil Overlord Trope made this feel like this is a story told be an ADHD three year old that ate 60 too many pixy sticks.
It doesn't remotely feel connected, it has a loose plot, and it deserved to be burned in a book banning and never referenced ever again. Gods below how can I get 30 minutes of my life back?! 🤦♂
I am lucky I managed 11 minutes. I feel sad.
I got as far as Gem Hadar.
