  • As Salaamu Alaikum,
Over the past year, I’ve driven all across Southern California to find 100% halal restaurants.
In today’s video, I’m going to share the best OC/LA spot for shawarma. Buckle up and watch til the end for the Best.
    Ikram Grill, Fountain Valley, $10.50
Ikram’s shawarma is good but lacked chicken and has too many ingredients and sauce. After one bite, the pita fell apart.
    Medmix, Garden Grove, $10
Medmix does it slim minimal with their shawarma. Chicken and pickles and smoking hot. I enjoyed it a lot.
    Sahara Falafel, Anaheim, $11
Sahara Falafel keeps it simple. Plenty of moist seasoned chicken with pickles and tomatoes in a toasted pita. Just a tad salty.
    Zait and Zaatar, Anaheim, $10.25
Zait and Zaatar’s shawarma is really good. It includes fries inside and wrapped in fresh baked bread.
Shawarma House, Anaheim, $9 (fries extra)
Shawarma House delivers on their name. The shawarma is packed with great tasting chicken wrapped tight in beautifully grilled bread.
    Borjstar, Gardena, $11
Borjstar’s shawarma ranks high. Lots of flavorful chicken, right amount of sauce and pickles all in a 360 toasted pita.
    Anwars Kitchen, DTLA, $17
Anwar knows comedy and food! The shawarma is full of flavor and chicken. My only issue, it wasn’t served hot.
    Navat Shawarma, DTLA, $16
Navat Shawarma serves up a monster. It’s delicious and loaded with chicken, fresh ingredients, and sauce.
    Medeterrania Grill, Irvine, $14
Medeterrania needs to work on their shawarma. The chicken was okay but the ranch sauce was confusing and tasteless.
The Best Shawarma goes to… (watch the video 😄)
Alhamdulillah and thank you all for your support.
    Until next time. Peace.
