Toussaint like Kaer Morhen feels like home (not only because i'm a french frog eater). I will always remember this game for the experience it gave me ^^
My heart still resonates with the echoes of that unforgettable journey in Toussaint, where I wandered with Geralt and his long-lost comrade Regis. Oh, the enchanting melodies, the exquisite wine, the exhilarating tournaments, and the alluring women... It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, a game of life that remains unparalleled.
When I first arrived in Toussaint my jaw dropped. The bright colours, the music, the Mediterranean atmosphere, the feeling of warmth. It was like Dorothy landing in Oz.
For me, this expansion came at the exact right time. I was severely depressed at the time and this DLC was the only reason I got up in the morning. The music, the visuals and the atmosphere took me back to my vacations in Tuscany, Italy, with my friends and parents in simpler times. I also somewhat resonated with the villian, Dettlaff, who made me feel understood, also with the way Geralt and Regis reacted to his motivations. This fantastic world captured my mind and distracted me while I slowly was healing while my life stabilized until it got significantly better. I'd not go as far as saying Toussaint saved my life, but it took a huge impact on getting me on the right track again. Now, years later, the, for the lack of a better word, great (man, I was depressed but at least my vocabulary was way bigger then) OST makes me feel proud and happy of what I achieved and what hardships I overcame. The people involved in this expansion probably never expected their work to have such a big impact on its players, for them it was probably "just" work and the passion to create art. But reading similar stories as mine from time to time under such music compilations, I hope they are really, really proud of themselves. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Love this expansion, love these landscapes, love this music, love this game, love this ambience, love this love this love this love this love this. Thanks for making this!!! Appreciated
Playing this game was the best experience in my whole life. I have won a boxing match, hiked 120km, once 60 in a day, and finished military training, I'm 21. Nothing has given me more joy and relaxation than this game.
I can't understand how is it that people like you don't get bored/burned out of replaying the same game so many times. Even Letalis said he's already bored today.
@@kenz2756 the game has so many dif endings, options, and ways to play that all change the journey and final playthrough, its jus like mass effect or the dragon age series
@@bald.M That's already clear, but I feel like content is what matters in maintaining motivation. Getting the endings Is one thing but it's more outcome difference than gameplay difference.

This is one of the best gaming experiences ever created IMO. Blood & Wine could easily be a standalone game. Love the colours, the atmosphere, the music, the towns, the intriguing story blend of serenity, eeriness and intrigue. Sometimes I go back and play this just to wander around Toussaint.
The other areas are also great, they are different but at the same time having some similarities. But in Toussaint, everything is just so different from the other areas, it is a very refreshing experience.
Come si fa a non provare amore per colonne sonore così ispirate? Come non ci si può sentire dentro una taverna a bere vino, a camminare per le vie di Toussaint nell'ascoltare un capolavoro del genere? COME? Ovunque tu sia, compositore o compositrice - io ti ringrazio di cuore.
I think they wanted to prove they can create a game with a different genre because the succes of the witcher franchise got to their head and thought they are good at everything. Alas the reality is the a very hunbling experience.
@GrinspoonPHD cyberpunk is just witcher set in the future...Immersive game with 0 loading screens, great story and characters,good-looking world with so many side quests and exploration,Awesome Soundtrack, can create many variety of builds and a 10/10 expansion...how is it just a decent at best kind of game???

Geralt deserved that estate and to call Toussaint his new home. He can still visit Kaer Moerhan out of respect for Vesimir and to meet up with his brothers. But I doubt it’s Geralt’s destiny to restore it and create new witchers. It’s time for Geralt to rest in beautiful Toussaint. I think Eskel is more fit to run Kaer Moerhan and restore the wolf school and new students.
I concur, i've never loved a game world more than Toussaint, it's just so beautiful in literally every corner ! This is what perfect masterpiece of world design looks like.
Blood &Wine is one of the best expansions ever created for any game. I savored every second of it.
It's up there with Shivering Isle.
I prefer heart of stone, with its warnings for a family man.
Forget DLCs, Blood and wine was and still is better than most games' full base games!

Perfectly described man. CDPR raised the bar so high that nobody will be able to match it.

Same here. I almost didnt wanna leave to continue the main mission lol
When I first played B&W and the "Toussaint" text popped out on my TV, it felt like I, myself, going out on a new journey.
Am I the only one who almost cries when I listen to the soundtracks of this game? :')
