I know this video was posted a while ago, but if the soil around the plant isn't of the best quality should i surround the root ball with some kind of miracle grow/ black kow instead of pine bark or will that just burn the plant in the long run?

Hello I have a question I have this Azalea plant and it's the strangest thing it keeps blooming and it is now November 6 2019 I did add some of my mixers and added it to the plant but never dreamed it would bloom this far into the year Have you heard of this plant blooming this far into November??
