- Hey there!
Sounds on blackbox are samples of mine, Behringer Model D and Arturia Mikrofreak.
The live loops coming from a Bansuri (indian sideblown Bambooflute, Melodica & and my voice).
I think I'm getting really close to my dawless live setup.
For me it's important to have a mix of prepared samples/clips/backing tracks and the oppurtunity to live loop instruments and my vocals.
I love the Novation Tracks but when I was jamming I'd love to save the sounds of midi1&2 I was creating of the Model D & Microfreak.
So the team of Tracks and blackbox with the rc202 is almost perfect.
The only thing what's missing now is a mixer to record and mix each device.
Probably the bluebox would fit the best there?
The nerdy stuff:
I use the first midi track of Tracks as a midi keyboard/sequencer for Blackbox and its Macroknobs for filter cut off and the second to save midi notes to Mikrofreak.
The devices are pretty new to me, so I'm getting there to really use the full potential.
Especially the Mikrofreak, which is the newest, in this Video is actually only doing a moving backing drone, running through the ms-70cdr and Novation Tracks delay for sterero image.
The rc202 runs Mono through Tracks for reverb, delay.
Novation Tracks is running stereo through the blackbox.
All the audio summed up with compression and a eq low boost from the little blackbox is going through the kaoss pad mini2s for master fx. Recording does the zoom h1n.
Rc202 is the midimaster to Tracks and midiout to blackbox and the midi thru as midi2 to mikrofreak.
I'm happy for any feedback, cause that's the best way to grow :)

@@timbabamusic Could you tell me on the RC-202, can you bounce a loop over from one channel to the other? If you can, it would be a great way to build up a percussion ensemble by working up a loops on 1, and bouncing them all to track 2 as you perfect them.
@@groove_sapient unfortunately that‘s not possible… that was one reason for me to get the 505mk2. I really really hope they are doing also a version of the rc202 mk2, cause it‘s much more handy and travelfriendly ;)

This is really good. So different from most the videos I see.
Very nice! I've been working on a dawless live looping rig as well, running a circuit rhythm with an rc202. Are you running clock from the looper? I had it backwards, running clock from the circuit rhythm and found out the hard way that it just doesn't work!

Thanks a lot :) if you don‘t use the two internal synths and mute them you can sequence 4 instruments polyphonically. With layering (sequence internal and external synth and don‘t mute) you can get also get very interesting sounds!

@@MIXtofMusic Wie cool, hat mich leider noch nicht dorthin verschlagen, aber werde definitiv bald mal Bremen besuchen. Wohne in Leipzig, bin aber für die nächsten zwei Monate auf den Kanaren. Deswegen musste mein Setup auch auf ein kleines Nachttischchen passen :D

Bremen ist immer eine Reise wert, Leipzig ist aber auch nett. Zur Zeit ist überall schei..e, da kann man ja nur zuhause sitzen und jammen….ich hab erstmal gesubbed.
