I don't know how in the earth aki win this battle, patshaw show originality,lowers,creativity, difficulty with only one drop also he managed it. I still can't believe this result.
Yes, it surprises me too. Patshaw was much more original, he performed more difficult moves, his moves were cleaner, and he crossed all categories. Aki doesn't stop blocking and still dropped the ball a lot.
Reminds me of Maarten Van luit vs Nasser in RBSS 2016 qualification in Netherlands.

I love Aki, and Patshaw did exactly the same stuff he's been doing since superball, but this was still such a clear win for Patshaw
You can't perform that high a level and bring new stuff after only a few months. 3 world championships this year is kinda nuts, it's not possible to bring a new repertoire on such a short timeframe.
Not asking for a completely new repetoire, just stating he did nothing new as that might also influence how judges look at it. Also I think you definitely can, and people like Erlend and Jesse have been doing that for years, but I get that Pat might not want to show too much in qualification rounds

@@frankvanderwielen6876 Whenever there were periods of multiple tournaments in short periods of time people have also criticized Jesse heavily for doing the same sets, same happened with Tobias in 2016. Happens all the time. If there was something Patrick could pull off on stage that he could learn in a couple months he would have learned it already :p
With rbss obviously prioritizing style, musicality, and showmanship, Aki absolutely deserves the win.
Using the judging criteria, maybe not. Rbss should update the criteria to be in line with their views
Well, for me, doing Jordan stalls and those types of movements is much more spectacular than doing blocking.

But rbss is about style, musicality, and showmanship. When it comes to that, Aki wins. Redbull doesn't want to advertise 10 people with just hardcore lowers and acrobatics. New freestylers need to see you can do more than that

Todos los fresstylers repiten mucho, solo ve Aki, cuantas movidas iguales hizo en esa batalla. No hace nada que no sea blokings. Al menos Patshaw metió lowers, upper, aparte de movimientos acrobáticos.
