    Small tip. In case you have them parallels. You need to unplugged them but set them to address 1. The master is normally 0 when used.

      Hi, did you select the correct COM port (see video at 04:41)?
      Did you select the matching Device ID that is set on the dip switches? (see video at 05:05)... Device ID should be 1 if only dip switch number 1 is on (left most switch) - you can also check this in the BMS app.
      What USB to RS485 adapter are you using?
      Which version of the PC monitoring software are you using?
      What version of firmware is currently on the BMS?

      @@GrantBurton I did all this. I have the same problem as described here at "diysolarforum" tread "JK PB2A16S-20P No Communication". I suspect that the problem is in the adapter. It could possibly be a faulty or non-compliant adapter... my adapter uses the FT232RL chip and has been working well so far. Let us know if you try a different adapter and if it works.

    Dont you have to use the RS485-1 port just left or right of the CAN port on the bms? On the most right there are 2 RS485-2 ports, I had in mind these are only for paralleling

      It's used for communication to an Inverter, if communication over RS485 is being used.

      @@GrantBurton ah yes! I didnt think of that, cause I am ll on CANbus with my deye 12kw hybrid :) Btw; for the 100% SOC issue, on DIYforum there is a nice diy project, Ghost Battery, i am going to try this. Together with 15.32

      @GrantBurton 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I read a little about that Ghost Battery project however I don't think the 100% SOC issue affects Deye / SunSynk Inverters. When the BMS reports 100% SOC to the Inverter, it still continues to charge the battery until the RCV is reached ... (or at least thats what I've seen on my SunSynk 10kW Single Phase Inverter)

    Is it possible to update the BMS if it is not yet connected to the battery(out of the box)?

    • @GrantBurton
      @GrantBurton 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The BMS needs to be powered up in order for it to update... I haven't tried it yet (because I installed it into the battery) but from what I've seen others do... the B- needs to be connected to pack negative and the red lead (that comes out of the BMS) needs to be connected to pack positive (the balance leads don't need to be connected).

      It’s a pleasure. For now, I’ve rolled back the firmware to 15.11. Seems the BMS was sending a ‘force charge’ request to the inverter even though the battery was at 100% SOC, and not allowing the battery to discharge. Didn’t have much time to play around.
