Maybe you notice later in the run, but there's an hp bar on top of the screen.. Also with the damage things on the top left, they each have a symbol, that symbol can also be found on the weapons/skills you get so you can see what type they do. So taking the bleeding artifact was indeed useless.
I know you're a pc enjoyer, playing with mouse and keyboard here too I assume... I switched back to the ps4 controller and I got to say it feels so smooth. You might want to try that some day.
Early access and a small team doesn't mean much to you ey? They're also reworking a ton with this update, so its not hard to imagine why its taking a while.
Did you watch the same video as I did? It seems to me that there's plenty on offer already, so your cash grab burn just looks weird to me. And "Painstakenly" (sic) slow development? That's just your opinion man, an opinion with bad spelling.
They put out updates every 1-3 months, how is that close to being a cash grab game? There are games that never get a single update after launching into EA, or get 1 or 2 updates before it's dumped by the developer. These devs are a known studio, small, and still updating the game obviously. Not sure why you would even remotely say that.

The lock/hidden things on character select are the evos that you need to buy in the upgrade tree.

Do not buy this game. Development is painstakenly slow. It rides the fine line of being a cash grab game.
